I have sent business to this place of business and spent my share of money and some. Scheduled appointment for cleaning 3 months in advance and they called me back a week before saying that the hygienist was out on vacation and need to reschedule for another day. My appointment day came and before I left work to go to appointment I was injured and had to go to the emergency room so I called them to let them no I will not make it cause I got hurt and could not even sit in their chair. The lady said well now you have to wait until the last week of Christmas before we can give you a cleaning cause we are booked. Than I received a bill for $35 for missed appointment that they rescheduled me. I spoke so highly of your staff and I still think your amazing Mr. Dunn but this was so disappointing. read more

Had a horrible visit, the night before my visit to the dentist, my front tooth got knocked out. Dr Dunn made me a plate that covered my whole upper mouth that had one tooth attached that would fit the socket where the tooth got knocked out. Not only did this plate ruin my dental bite after wearing it, I had braces for 3 years to have a perfect bite, my speech has been affected... And when we came back to the office after he made the plate He was going to grind down my bottom teeth that even my husband spoke up and said no. It took over 15 years to get over my fear from the previous dental care I received before I walked into Dunn & Platt. Dr. Dunn and his staff are all remarkable in that they are friendly, professional, caring, and do everything to make me comfortable. Dr. Dunn makes sure I am comfortable, and he is extremely gentle. This dentist is a really nice guy, but he cuts corners on designing crowns, etc. After going there for several years, my bite was completely "off" and one of my crowns kept coming off because of a poor design (too thin). Another dentist replaced that crown later with a wider version and I've never had a problem with it since. His staff is also less than desirable and can be somewhat rude or flippant. The last straw was when I thought I had paid my bill in full but there was an extra $30 that got kicked back from the insurance company, etc. I just happened to stop by to make an appointment and they mentioned it was going to collection if I didn't pay it (never called or anything). Dr. Dunn is the best dentist I've had in about 20 years. He's meticulous, knowledgeable, personable and a dentist, first, rather than a self-promoting salesperson with a marketing degree who just happens to practice dentistry. His patients and staff seem to feel the same way I do. It's a busy practice but they accommodated me well based on need and I appreciate how professional and friendly the staff is. I drive an hour each way rather than the 1.5 mile drive from my previous dentist, who could take lessons from Dr. Dunn, no doubt. read more

I discovered Dr. Dunn about 12 years ago, after asking everyone I knew in Hemet to recommend a great dentist. I found Dr. Dunn to be exceptional and a big improvement over my previous dentist. He does great work and has an excellent bedside manner. Best of all, he is honest and does NOT try to sell unnecessary work like so many dentists do. I came to Dunn & Platts Dental after almost 5 years of no dental care. Their staff was very understanding and accommodating of my situation, quickly got me in for an initial consultation and a cleaning to follow. My biggest fear of going back to the dentist after such a long time was the potential shaming and disappointment I would get from a dentistry team, however, Dr. Platts and their entire office staff have been very welcoming and have never made me feel ashamed for neglecting my oral health. They have been very kind and are only interested in getting my teeth back to a good clean state and back on track! In the few fillings I have had done, Dr. Platts and the assistants were very attentive to my comfort, they certainly put my fears of pain aside by ensuring I had enough anesthetic and talking me through each step of the process. I was reluctant to go to a dentist out here so for the past 2 year o have been driving all the way to San Diego for dental. Been to several offices in Hemet San Jacinto and never got past signing in before walking out. I very pleased with the cleanliness of the office the friendliness of the staff and the professionalism of the DR. This is the first office I have been to the had the customer service of a big city but I'm such a small town. I came on with a problem and left good as new! From start to finish the Dr Dunn and his assistant Sully were AMAZING they explained things as we went through the process told me all my options and even helped me understand about other procedures that I was not having done at there office. Dr. Dunn happens to be the dentist that is in the process of fixing the dental work from a previous dentist. Since November of this past year I have had 2 fillings come out and a 3rd one loose... It was a complete nightmare at the last office! When I was referred to Dr. Dunn by a church friend I already knew it was going to be a comforting experience, and so far it has been. Have been going to DUNN dental since I was 5 years old, 40+ years. Have tried others but always come back, no matter how far the drive.

I have not been to a dentist in over and year and when I did go I got the run around and just couldn't bring myself to go back. I was very hesitant to go to a dentist again, but I knew I had too. So I started looking through yelp reviews to find one that was honest and cared about there patients. I called and made an appointment and got an appointment for two weeks. That was fine with me because I needed a tooth extracted. I don't use Novocain so I needed someone that was alright with that. I wanted someone that was going to be upfront about the care I would need and not add on extras. I finally went for my appointment and I was a bit nervous but I was instantly calmed down by Rose. She was very caring and made me feel at ease. Dr. Dunn came in and explained everything to me and proceeded to extract the tooth. Now it was not painless but he was very gentle and after the tooth was out I felt great. It had been too long and I did have some discomfort because of not having it out sooner. Dr. Platts has been my dentist for years and he honestly makes me feel so safe and secure! I cannot say enough great things about the entire office and the staff there! My kids both enjoy their visits and never complain about going.
