Originally, I love this place. The front desk, girls are amazing and so are the assistance that come in to clean the teeth. Doctor Ada, however, is unkind to kids and rude to the parents. She let me know that my daughter would need two teeth extracted. I asked her to do one and then see how my daughter feels, then do the other. She was not happy with this request. She physically showed it. Then she proceeded to spray numbing spray on my daughter's hands without consent , and my daughter did not like the spray understandably so. Then Dr. Ada threw her hands up, showing that she's very irritated with us and walked out. My daughter began to cry as if she did something wrong. I do not appreciate the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service here. I get that she's old and doesn't like to waste time, but my daughter is five. read more

Came in today very nervous as I have always been scared of the dentist I had 2 broken molars I had my appointment today for extraction and I got to my appointment I got in to my room within 5 minutes I was very very scared and nervous and that all changed as soon as the dental assistant came in she made me feel very good....then the dentist came I forgot his name but he was very nice and respectful and let's say he numb me up and extracted both my molars within 30 he told me my after care and I was on my way out I'm very happy with everything and everyone read more

I've been taking my client to Downtown Dental for many months now. I believe since before Christmas. She had all her upper teeth removed for dentures. She had countless appointments... for what I'm not sure. So finally she got her dentures last week.... and OMG Her original teeth were very small and suited her face ... now they installed dentures that would look good on a horse. I can't believe they actually let her walk out like that. Sadly my client has a mental illness so she perceives the world slightly different. So now I've visited twice. My first time arrival I had much paperwork to fill out. My suggestion come in half hour early. "I kept watching the tv" maybe come in an hour early lol. Every time I've called, the receptionist had a happy voice. Every time !!! That's a hug plus in my book. I met the Doctor, very nice older woman. Her assistant very very friendly too. The appearance of the office was very clean and warm/comfortable. I came here to have a crown put in. I had to pay full price because my insurance was used up elsewhere for a root canal. I have one more appointment left. I want to let everyone know, I read some of these reviews. I just want to say my experience of waiting wasn't long at all. It's your responsibility to make accommodations for your appointments. People show up late, take forever like me to fill out the paperwork, etc. I took the whole day off work for the unexpected. I bring a book for downtime. I'm old so maybe the young folks will be on social media. Lol. I don't know. But do something valuable with your time. Stop griping. Be nice, pick up trash don't litter. Love your home in Hemet. Let's set example to have good hearts. This world is so cruel right now. It doesn't cost a thing to follow my suggestions. Just your time. How do you want to be remembered? Make a positive difference in this world please. P.s. I didn't write a five star for teeth whitening even though I need it. Funds are tight. My last review for Downtown Dental was five years ago. So here's my update. I have been a patient since 2019. Every visit has been excellent. The front office is very efficient. The dentists are always thorough and helpful with good advice. My hygienist this week was Susan and she did an excellent job. I have only praise for Downtown Dental. read more

Have been to DownTown Dental several times. Always a good experience with the dentist and assistant. They only did the work required and did not over charge me like some previous dentist. Example: One tooth had a lot of decal under it and the dentist told me there was a 50/50% chance I would need a root canal... After taking off the filling he said he was able to save it as he said he did not see any nerve (pink) and was able to fill it up and add a regular white filling. So far so good... If you have only basic things like cleanings or maybe a cavity filled maybe they could do that right but for anything more than the basic ,basics .They aren't anywhere near qualified to handle . Dental appt 1/30/2023 Dr. Todd Auerbach for cleaning and 6 month checkup. Filled out paperwork; waited one hour; Dental asst X-rayed teeth; waited another 10 mins for Dentist Todd Auerbach. He came in room; said "who are you insured with." I told him Delta Dentalcare; he put a pick in his hand and touched one tooth. Did not measure pockets around teeth; then said, " you have bone spurs in my mouth bc you don't sleep well and asked me if I slept thru the night. I said , "yes." He said, "you have an old filling and should get a crown within two years " Dr. Auerbach walked out of the room and never came back. Dental asst then cleaned my teeth but did not fluoride them! I got up an walked out!. I called my insurance the next day and Downtown Dental had billed for a checkup and cleaning and fluoride treatment and two fillings! What! Never happened. I'm contacting State Board for Dentists also to file a complaint! Please don't go there.... read more

Had my wisdom teeth pulled by the oral surgeon. An I must say, dogs get more care and consideration at the pound than I got at that visit today. That fool did not give not 1 sh*t about me or any other patient. It was very clear all he cared about is money. You are in the wrong profession pal, you should have been a lawyer or something. Not a doctor... I will say the normal dentist at this location is pretty good. He takes his time and genuinely cares. But that oral surgeon was a f***ing cockhead. read more

I confirmed my appointment today and showed up and had a confrontation with Carla and Patti the office manager, because they didn't tell me this morning that my Delta Dental plan had been moved to another office. This is not true because I had a first appointment with Downtown Dental on January 4, 2021. They blamed me for everything. I live far away in a mountain village. Todd Auerbach is the owner , a USC graduate. This office is a poor reflection on his ability to hire people with competent people skills. A horrible experience today. I contacted the California Dental Board and the Better Business Bureau of Hemet to file a complaint. Worse dentist I have ever been to in my life!!! I went to get my wisdom tooth pulled first everyone was dressed in jeans and tennis shoes. Then he was so ruff pulling my teeth out didn't even care that I was hurting.Was just trying to yank my tooth out with his finger. I am expressing to him it hurts. What makes it worse he is in my mouth and speaking to other nurse looking at them while still having tools in my mouth . Do not go here it was unprofessional and worse dentist ever!!!! read more

I went here back in November to do an average filling for 3 of my bottom back teeth after the numbing wore off I had excruciating pain on one of my teeth worse than child labor and I went back in and they drilled it down a little bit stating that the filling might just be a little bit too high and I could be causing the pain and that should it should feel better in a couple days. Well a couple days passed and the pain was still the worst I've ever felt I was popping motrin every 2 to 4 hours so then I made another appointment and again they said nothing was wrong they took x-rays and again drilled down my teeth. So this went on for about almost 8 more weeks before I finally went in and they said that the filling was put on top of the nerve and that's what's causing all the pain that I would need a root canal. So at this point they contacted my insurance to try to get approval for the root canal but before they even get approval they started drilling into my tooth the cut it down halfway and put a temporary filling taking out only some of the nerve it did help with the pain but it was very uncomfortable and knowing my tooth was cut in half also the temporary filling was stabbing me it was very sharp which caused an infection in my guns so finely couple more months go by And they tell me that my root canal was not approved and that I could pay for it in cash. And it took me until this point to try out a different dentist office hoping for a different outcome and it turns out my root canal was actually approved I got the letter in the mail a couple weeks later and I've already got it done with a different office and honestly all the reviews I've read seem like this place is a huge scam and the pain I felt I would never wish on anybody if you're gonna go somewhere or take your children I highly suggest going anywhere else but there's a place called heritage dentist off Scott road that's great and there is Baker's kids dentistry in Menifee which is amazing as well. read more

I receive orthodontic service there, been going for 2 years. I should have researched and picked a different orthodontist to go to. The wait time is an hour or more just to go to the back and wait some more. They can't seem to keep their dentist, as soon as you get use to one he/she is gone. We came to the dentist for my daughter that had a tooth ache. The wait was long which is typical for an office that takes most insurances. The girls in the front are friendly however a few seem to talk too much. The overall visit was okay nothing to really complain about. The office seemed kept up. The location is not the best a times it's hard to find a parking spot. I didn't go into the treatment room so I can't say anything about the dentist. read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY !!! I got my wisdom teeth removed here by dr trieu . He did surgical extractions with no sutures so basically I have a hole that won't heal right . I tried calling back to get seen by him and check the extraction site but they won't accommodate my work schedule. Horrible service. And not to mention the manager yells at the assistant.
