The office itself is clean, fresh, and welcoming--not scary at all, which says a lot when you're bringing kids. I want to especially highlight Ms. Diana, because she was truly the reason I chose to come here in the first place. With no bias at all, I'm genuinely glad she told me about this office. From day one, she was informative, transparent, and incredibly reassuring. She told me there's a discount for cash. Actually, it's not a discount. I'm just not paying the interest on the principal. She ran the numbers and told me the cash amount that I would need to bring to my next (second) visit. For my second visit, as my appt time passed and I was sitting in the waiting room, a text comes through asking me to review and sign off on five pages of documents. There was not enough time to read them thoroughly which made me uncomfortable right out the gate. I got called back to the same finance g sounds good al that I met with during my initial visit. She told me we could move forward with the process once I was finished filling out the last minute paperwork. Paperwork finished, this employee asks me for my license and credit card. I inquired as to why. She stated that I would be billed monthly. I reminded her that I was paying cash. She pulls up info on two different computer screens. She gave me a total that was exactly $50 more than the initial quote. I told her that her new quote did not match the quote on my paperwork from my first visit. She explained that their computer system was having issues working out percentages and numbers and that since it was her fault, she would throw in tooth whitening but I still had to pay the extra $50. For customer service sake, that alleged $50 should have been absorbed by this establishment. Now, I'm completely uncomfortable and red flags are going off. I told her I was going to search for a different orthodontist and she was perfectly fine with me walking. I do not know how effective this establishment is with regard to orthodontia because I did not end up retaining them.

The dentists and staff take the time to explain everything in a way that makes sense to both parents and kids, which I really appreciate. They never rush appointments and always make my children feel important and heard. What could easily be a stressful experience has consistently been positive, smooth, and even fun. After five years of excellent care, I can confidently say Baker Pediatric Dental is a place you can trust with your kids' teeth. There often aren't enough seats for people to sit leaving many families standing or leaning against the walls. I myself had to sit at the kids table that they have in the lobby just to get off my feet for a second after standing for over 30 minutes. And the craziest thing is a few times, I have been asked to reschedule things because of what they "didn't have time for" despite my appointment being scheduled by them months in advance. I'm sorry, but if I've already had to rearrange my schedule because you're running behind, we're doing this TODAY. The audacity! And this isn't a one off experience, this happens every single time I have an appointment. I have began to just anticipate canceling any other things that I have planned because I always end up being ridiculously late. Trying to get the kids to school after the appointment? Probably not! Simple things like cleanings can take a 3 hour chunk out of your day. Again, great once you actually get seen, but I'd advise you to plan on sitting here for a while. Bring tablets.

I was trying to find a new dentist due to my insurance changing. I had An appointment scheduled By the office for 12:30. Three days before the appointment(2 of the days they are closed) They asked me if I can change my appointment to 10:30 AM which is fine as it didn't really affect my schedule and I was able to move things around to get in earlier. When I show up, they tell me it's gonna be another 30 minute wait. I then don't get seen until 12. Then on top of that It's about 12:30 at this point And they ask if I would like to get my cavities filled and teeth cleaned today? I said yes and they told me they will have the office manager, come talk to me about my insurance and what it will cover. I she gave me all the quotes and I told her I don't want the special care treatment and I said " well I don't want anything that my insurance doesn't cover" Then they replied well that's $400 out-of-pocket .So after about 5 to 10 minutes of me, trying to figure out why my insurance does not cover normal cleaning They finally said yes $400 is for the special care treatment. They said "you can brush and scrape off all The buildup, but without the special treatment, it's Useless." So I said that's fine. I just need the cleaning. I don't want the special stuff. The response I got was " OK oh well, it's up to you. It's your mouth and teeth". So after I denied the $400 Out of pocket charge, apparently the doctor that was going to do the cleaning is now "on lunch" So now they can't do any work and they're gonna have to set an appointment and the next available appointment is A month out.

Once we settled on a plan of action, the billing person came back and went over all the information clearly and also did not attempt to pressure me into spending my kiddo's college fund on my mouth. Then the actual work began...I needed drilling done...YIKES! Dr. Sherpa brought out The Needle...if ya know, ya know...to numb my gums. That thing looks like a medieval torture device! However, again, Dr. Sherpa knew what she was doing, and I actually didn't feel it much at all. She got right to work and fixed me up. I was on my way within two hours and was as good as new! She and her staff did such a great job that I have already scheduled follow-up appointments for polishing and cleaning. That may sound like a normal thing, but again...I hated going, so me, it is a very big deal! I am also switching my kids to her...she doesn't know it yesterday, but she is about to get a lot me time! :) All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. Despite regular visits, two cavities under my bridge were never identified. These were only discovered after I developed gum swelling and pain and was referred to an endodontist, who informed me the tooth could not be saved. When I notified BrightNow, the office manager initially said they would help with the costs. However, after seeing their once‑a‑month oral surgeon, I was told they could not perform the procedure due to my medical condition and their facility limitations. After that, the communication changed--no referral, no follow‑up, and no assistance. I was told I would be responsible for all costs. After weeks of waiting for them to "check with their director," the final answer was still no. My new dental provider later confirmed that there were actually two cavities under the bridge that had gone undiagnosed for years. I have also made repeated attempts to obtain my dental records, but the office has not responded. It raises a serious question: why go to the dentist regularly for preventive care--just like we do with healthcare providers--if significant issues aren't identified or addressed? My experience raises concerns about MISSED DIAGNOSES, LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY, and POOR COMMUNICATION. They are friendly when bringing you in as a patient, but that changed when a serious issue came to light. In my eyes, their rating is "0".
