Absolutely love having a 24 hour pharmacy minutes from my house. I always look for one(just as a…read moresafety blanket) that has a pharmacy that is 24/7. I have been using this CVS for YEARS. The workers are so friendly and when you go all of the time at night, the night pharmacists get to know you. Particularly Mohammed. He is so nice and always says Hi and asks how things are. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is because they for some reason took away the self-checkout. I am the type of person that likes it(I know that there are people that constantly complain about it) but there's usually on 1 register open(even during peak times) so it can take FORever to check out. Also during the night sometimes it can be hard to find someone to check you out and before you only needed to find a worker if there was an issue. I though that all CVS's were getting rid of self checkout, but the one in Bayside still has it so that's not the case. This has made me buy less things from here and more just prescriptions. Now accepts contactless pay as well as Apple Pay - yay!

I have been a CVS patron for about 5 years (when I moved to Long Island)…read more I'd like to begin with the fact that I NEVER leave negative reviews. With that being said, unfortunately, I have to change my own personal policies. I went into the 201 Glenn St., Glen Cove location and encountered an employee named Nicole. Not only was she extremely rude and dismissive over my an extremely simple location product. She specifically told me, she does not have the time for me nor my concern and needs. Although, I understand that perhaps "college students" do not honor customer service, there is a line that Nicole crossed. I would hope for all of the CVS locations, they receive better treatment than I have from Grace. CVS is a very important community staple. I would be deeply saddened if one employee named Grace, forces the community to seek more cooperative knowledge, respectfully staff to keep CVS running smoothly and continuing to be the "go-to" for all Long Island customers. Kindness and consideration go far, especially in a pharmacy.

This review is solely for Lori Pessone at cosmetic center…read more Today I would like to call it my lucky day because of Lori. I ran into Walgreens to find a eyeliner for an emergency rescue. I am an ignorant when comes to makeups. I rarely put any on. At most I would just do eye liner and some facial foundation. I started searching at the cosmetic area and so not productive. I heard someone asked a customer if she needed help on finding things and the customer declined. I did not know what happened at the same moment I just went over her asked if she could help me find a day brown eye liner ( normally I would never ask anyone in store to help because I would be so embarrassed that if people knew I knew nothing about cosmetic and makeup. But I am SO glad I walked out my comfort zone today. She is Lori Pessone! An angle came down to rescue me. Lori first looked st my face quickly and pin pointed my skin problems. She was so knowledgeable and so patient about all skin types, completion s and colors! We went through from lip stick, eye shadow, eye liner, cleanser, brush, moisturizer etc. For the first time, I got a color that was PERFECT for my complexion!!! I was so thrilled! I could saw a much more beautiful me instantly in the mirror at the store! I could NOT believe it happened in a Walgreens! LOL! Lori asked me what moisturizer I currently use. I said La Mer. She made a funny face right after and told me why.... she taught me how to professionally clean up my face with cleanser she highly recommended, as well as how to apply makeup correctly. Lori is so knowledgeable and she absolutely took time with me on trying colors that she saw unique and fabulous in me from a licensed makeup artist view. I honestly thought I would never look pretty in makeups. But Lori changed that today! She not only picked up all my makeup needs but also all came in with great prices! I can not wait I wake up tomorrow and put on a brand new "face"! Thank you, Lori!! Beautiful things can happen in Walgreens. Lol. I would start going here rather than going to department stores from now. Love it!

I have been going to the CVS store at 206 Glen Cove Ave. for over a decade and have consistently…read morefound the pharmacy staff to be exceptional: very responsive, courteous, efficient, reliable, and always friendly. So why have I finally decided to write a glowing review about the members of this CVS pharmacy? Well, because on this Labor Day weekend, our adult daughter is staying with us, but unfortunately, she has forgotten to bring along her daily maintenance medication, and she hasn't been taking it for about three days. As a result of the abrupt discontinuation, she has experienced a variety of debilitating symptoms and has been feeling very much under the weather. So, on my wife's advice, I went to our favorite CVS store and asked the pharmacist on duty to please advance two pills for her so that she could resume taking her pills & start feeling better. "No problem", the CVS pharmacist told me right away with no further questions asked and instantly advanced three pills (without any charge)...just a friendly smile. Now that's what I call extraordinary service!!!!

I had stopped going to CVS because they stopped taking my United Health Oxford Insurance, when they…read moreacquired Aetna. I thought that was pretty bad but now I have Medicare and the place is right down the block so I get prescriptions there again. I had gone to Stop and Shop Pharmacy in the Wheatly Plaza Shopping Center and they were lovely and looked up Good RX for me on a number of prescriptions, never requiring me to do it myself. I just paid $50.00 more than I should have because the pharmacist at CVS did not want to bother. I think I will change back to the Stop and Shop. It is a longer ride for me but they are more interested in keeping my business. If you want the best deal on your prescriptions go to Stop and Shop instead of CVS

Store is very nice. They have great items for gifts (birthday, housewarming, you name it) and they will gift wrap. They have saved me more than once. I'm not a Vera Bradley person but they stock lots of it! Yes, you will find more toiletries, first aid stuff at CVS but Glen Head Pharmacy has the basics as well as more upscale items. Their prescription prices have (for me) been the same as CVS.

It has taken me several months to write this review because I was treated so poorly that I needed…read moretime to process both the incident and the communication that followed. I was a loyal customer of Glen Head Pharmacy for approximately 30 years. John, the owner and pharmacist at the time, was professional, friendly, and always willing to listen to concerns about medication and offer sound advice. After John passed away, his head pharmacist, Joe, continued that tradition. I trusted them and felt confident in their knowledge and professionalism. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the new ownership was the complete opposite. My physician prescribed a cream that he told me was available over the counter. When I went to the pharmacy, a woman behind the counter told me I needed a prescription. I called my doctor's office in front of the staff, and a prescription was sent over. A young pharmacist, whom I believe was named John, then told me the cream was "out of stock" and subsequently said it had been "discontinued." I simply asked which was correct. Was it out of stock, or had it been discontinued? He could not give me a clear answer. When I questioned him again, he continued talking in circles without addressing my question. I then walked toward the register to ask the female cashier for the owner's telephone number. At that point, John began yelling at me and shouting insults in front of employees and customers. I chose not to respond. No customer should have to endure that kind of treatment, especially after being a loyal customer for three decades. I contacted the owner and requested a conversation about what had happened. My calls were not returned, and the owner would not arrange a meeting with John to address the incident. The new ownership continued to refuse to speak with me. A few days later, my physician sent another prescription to the pharmacy, but it was not being filled. When I called, a man named Burt told me they would not fill it. I was shocked that the situation had escalated to the point where I was being refused service as it is illegal to refuse to fill a prescription unless it is contraindicated or has been tampered with. I considered filing a formal complaint with New York State but ultimately chose not to do so. Instead, I found another nearby pharmacy with wonderful, caring pharmacists who have demonstrated the knowledge, empathy, and professionalism I believe patients deserve. It is deeply disappointing to see an establishment I trusted for approximately 30 years change so dramatically. The new owners had an opportunity to speak with me, listen to my concerns, and address the situation professionally. They chose not to. My experience has left me questioning whether this pharmacy is still a place where patients can feel confident that their prescription needs will be handled with care and professionalism. If you are shopping for toiletries or gifts, you may have a perfectly fine experience. However, based on what happened to me, I would be reluctant to trust this pharmacy with my prescription needs. After 30 years as a customer, I never expected to leave Glen Head Pharmacy feeling this way. What a disappointment.
