I have been going to the CVS store at 206 Glen Cove Ave. for over a decade and have consistently found the pharmacy staff to be exceptional: very responsive, courteous, efficient, reliable, and always friendly. So why have I finally decided to write a glowing review about the members of this CVS pharmacy? Well, because on this Labor Day weekend, our adult daughter is staying with us, but unfortunately, she has forgotten to bring along her daily maintenance medication, and she hasn't been taking it for about three days. As a result of the abrupt discontinuation, she has experienced a variety of debilitating symptoms and has been feeling very much under the weather. So, on my wife's advice, I went to our favorite CVS store and asked the pharmacist on duty to please advance two pills for her so that she could resume taking her pills & start feeling better. "No problem", the CVS pharmacist told me right away with no further questions asked and instantly advanced three pills (without any charge)...just a friendly smile. I had stopped going to CVS because they stopped taking my United Health Oxford Insurance, when they acquired Aetna. I thought that was pretty bad but now I have Medicare and the place is right down the block so I get prescriptions there again. I had gone to Stop and Shop Pharmacy in the Wheatly Plaza Shopping Center and they were lovely and looked up Good RX for me on a number of prescriptions, never requiring me to do it myself. I just paid $50.00 more than I should have because the pharmacist at CVS did not want to bother. I think I will change back to the Stop and Shop. This is a good size CVS, with all kinds of small business nearby. The inside of this store is a bit dated and could use a freshening up. Sometimes the store can be a little messy, but most CVS are in different states of disarray nowadays. The New York area CVS locations are totally different from the ones you find in other states. The volume of people and the diversity of cultures may add to the issues that you will find in the NYC metropolitan locations. I find that the employees here are always very helpful. The manager at this location is very nice and will be more than happy to assist you in the photo area. I have witnessed him be very patient with the seniors that come to shop and they all seem very appreciative. This really seems to be a neighborhood store, everyone seem to knows everyone's name. It's the "Cheers" of CVS, only instead of a beer you get extra bucks and coupons for stuff you will never buy. Word to CVS, save a tree.....I do not use Rogaine, or need 3 Hallmarks cards. Please give me a coupon for something I actually use sometime. And to my fellow yelpers....did you know that pharmacy sales in CVS (or any other equivalent chain)make up over 90% of the sales profit for an entire store. CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - GLEN COVE, New York

My mother-in-law finally got the courage to get her Covid vaccine and we helped her get an appointment here at this CVS. The pharmacist, Melissa Lee, treated her inhumanely, made her bleed far more than normal from the injection site, didn't apologize and tried to justify her inability to properly administer a shot, and gave her an attitude about it. I cannot get through to the store manager so I'm leaving a review here to ask the local community to avoid this store and use another pharmacy so this does not happen to you. read more

This CVS branch is a few blocks from my house and is the one I use for their pharmacy service. It's not as large as some other CVS branches but it has just about everything you need. The pharmacy is staffed by very friendly, helpful folks who go the extra mile to help the customers. The store is always neat and clean too! read more

CVS in Glen cove on Glen cove Ave - been going here for many many years - never really had a problem besides occasional issue of being told a medicine was ready to be picked up and you arrive and it's not ready - no big deal - it happens -yesterday - after long day and I am rushing to get to my 95 year old mom -stopped by to pick up her medicine I was told earlier in the day on the phone was ready to be picked up "right now " . I get get to Cvs around 6 pm after a long day - wait on line for -10-15 minutes and was told medication was not ready -and was inexplicably told there were no prescriptions ready and that I have to speak to the pharmacist "nick" who,thankfully, I never dealt with before -tried to go speak with him but he made me wait and wait and wait before finally graciously speaking with me - he then incorrectly told me the medication was not available until Jan sometime - he basically brushed me to the side and dealt with another customer - I explained that we were out of medic and it was needed and yet he could care less - despite the fact I was told 6 hours earlier medic was ready to be picked up - - so despite their clear mistake I had to plead to ask for at least two pills until this gets cleared up - he didn't want to even do this - he finally agreed to give me 2 pills - only if I pay for them ...of course I said and was told I had to wait -so I wait again - I am finally called to counter and about to check out and cashier said oh wait - I have to get this approved - I said it was approved - she said nick has to approve this again- so she tries to go to speak to him- Despite Nick knowing full well I have been waiting now over 30 minutes for their mistake he makes her wait and wait and wait -,I had seen enough and had to intervene and asked him to please give his second approval as I am very late - he then became sarcastic , disrespectful and discourteous in a manner I have never seen from a pharmacist -I get it -mistakes are made - no big deal - but to take it out on a customer and to be this disrespectful is just plain wrong -not once did he utter the word sorry - rather, he blamed me and basically said it was my mistake and could care less that I had to wait close to 40 minutes for him to finally help me .Nick obviously needs some lessons in dealing with customers in a courteous and respectful manner. read more

This CVS is one of the few CVS's that I shop in where i always find what i need. There is never any problem with staff. They are all so nice and friendly. Always at the ready to help even if they are occupied with something. It's nicely organized as well. It's one of those in and out kind of CVS's too. They also have a self check out option which is pretty easy to use and self explanatory. read more

This is a nice CVS the parking lot gets pretty crowded sometimes. They carry all the standard items you would expect.

Great store. I know its a chain but what makes this store feel different is the staff. As soon as I walk in Im greeted by an employee. They have every thing I need and always have staff available to guide me if i can't find something. the pharmacy is also excellent. I bypass Wallgreens and another CVS to go to this specific store. Its a nice and clean location the girls were extremly helpful except as I was walking around I could hear nothing but the employees that were putting things on the shelves talk very loudly. It was kind of irritating. Then I get home, mind you I don't live anywhere near there I was at a birthday party, and the formula I bought for my daughter was expired! If there's one thing they should be checking is the infant formula. read more

i stopped by this cvs in glen cove on glen cove rd after grabbing a slurpee at 711 .whenever i visit any cvs the first move i make is grab the weekly flyer to see what's on sale . decent size store with nicely filled organized shelves in each aisle . the pharmacy in the back is open till 10pm and usually is busy as i notice during my many visits . the employees are friendly and always are asking if i need help with anything which i appreciated to the max as the young gal found me some lavender epsom salt which i needed to soak my aching feet after a long day sitting behind a desk doing nothing . with any cvs it's all about the items on sales which can be really big as long as you have a cvs card . check out lines move fast as more then one cashier section is open , no self service machines here but wait is still minimal , first i hit 711 then cvs and a few other shops on glen cove rd , dollar tree is next. read more
