I have had a string of less-than-adequate (read: awful) haircuts in the last year at other salons…read more I wasn't planning on getting my hair cut anytime soon for fear that the next one would be even worse, but after 12 weeks my hair was so out of control I had to take the risk. Enter Rootz. I'm so glad I gave them a chance! My stylist, Jenny, listened to my story, thanked me for coming in despite my trepidation, and then gave me a fabulous cut and style. What I really liked about her, other than her obvious talent, is that she was decisive and made confident recommendations for my style today. It turned out great and I will be back soon!

My 10 year old daughter wanted some color in her hair and I thought Organic was the way to go. Charlotte not only talked us through the entire process and product line but also treated my daughter like the client -- with such respect. We love how her hair turned out so much that I decided to stop using a box dye on my hair and have Charlotte put in some highlights. I officially LOVE MY HAIR again after being disappointed with it for so long. Charlotte chose the right highlight color to complement my complexion and the cut was perfect, which can be tricky since I have wavy / curly / fine hair. The environment is open and laid back. Jen Gero (Rootz proprietor) has managed to develop the perfect marriage of top rate service and products, without the pretension of a high end salon. I am committed to being a lifelong client of Rootz Salon.

In all my years I have never seen scissors handled the way he did. Also, he did a few moves I have never seen before. Absolutely excellent job. I highly recommend him. Will definitely go back.

My teens Dad is abusive and took him to In/Style because it is very cheap and told them to cut off all his beautiful lush hair. Before my teen could have a say and tell them to leave it long as he was growing it and just cut around the ears and a little at the nape of the neck, the stylist hacked off hair in the top middle. When my son spoke up (as his Dad left now that the damage was done) they then had to "even it out". I am not surprised at his Dad, but the stylist should FIRST ask a 17 year old how they want their hair before hacking at it. If a parent tells a stylist how a 17 year old wants their hair they should know the parent either has dementia and thinks he's a little kid... or is abusive. My son was very disappointed and now has to put alot of product in it until it grows back. I gave the salon 1 star (instead of negative stars) because they are very affordable and once my son spoke up they didn't continue to go shorter.
