As I rolled through Rosendale I caught a glimpse of a sign indicating coffee ahead. After a week in the MI U.P. I knew that sign was for me! WHAT A FABULOUS SURPRISE! The care that the barista took in making my drink was a sight for sore eyes. Weighing the espresso, precise tamping, timed shots ... they even had coconut milk (don't be judgmental )! What service! Along with great staff and amazing food, Village Grounds offers a chic environment to enjoy your items. Customer Service was perfect, smiling young lady who was happy to have us and genuinely nice. Coffee was really good. Best vanilla latte I've ever had and my wife regretted putting creamer in her coffee because the flavor of the coffee was so good. Price; could not have asked for better. The three of us got drinks for less than 10 dollars. Appearance and cleanliness of store was perfect, beautifully designed and very clean. We'll be back every time we drive through town. read more

COVID nightmare! Open disregard of mask mandate. I wanted to spend money at what is clearly a local businesses, but when I walked in, there was not a mask in sight including the server at the counter. Too bad because I would bought coffees for my entire group. When a cafe is openly disregarding public health guidelines at the service counter, what do you think they're ignoring that you can't see? Keep driving to Oshkosh and go to Starbucks. It's corporate but at least they care about the health of their customers and employees. read more

COVID nightmare? LOL, no. Clean, comfortable, welcoming coffee shop with very good espresso (I drink a lot of coffee, and this beats the pants off of big green), and plenty of room to sit. The cookies were pretty great too. And the people were smiley and helpful. What's not to like? This was a complete lucky find on our road trip. It would fit right in in a large city, but was totally unexpected in a small town. Made me want to grab a seat and get some work done at one of the tables. I've been through Rosendale several times and was delightfully surprised to find Village Grounds. Really tasty food (my bacon/egg/cheese croissant was so flaky that I needed to move off the couch and go to a table!); prompt, friendly service, and an inviting, casual, comfortable decor (in addition to the couch, you can eat at a bar table facing outside and at lounge chairs) make this a place that I'll be looking forward to returning to. If you just need a road-trip put stop, they also have a variety of delicious coffee and frappe (ice cream) drinks. I think they've been open less than a year; please stop by and support them! read more

On the suggestion of a friend, we came here. Loved the atmosphere, bakery, coffee and that they carry bread from Thunderbird Bakery out of Oshkosh. (Which we've wanted to try!). The service was great! We will definitely be back! A worthwhile stop if traveling on Hwy 26 between Oshkosh and Madison! read more

Like most of the traffic on the main drag in Rosendale, I'm just passing through, going to or coming from the Fox Valley, so I was very glad to see a real coffee shop and a place to stop at my halfway trip point. What a pleasant surprise to not have to get gas station coffee and snacks! I had a coconut latte that was fantastic and they had many other coffee drinks to choose from, both standard and creative. I hope locals, as well as travelers on Hwy 26, like me, stop here and keep this place in business! This place just cemented a nice, under the speed limit, drive through Rosendale for me to get to the Fox Valley, rather than going through Fond du Lac!!
