The Village Green Ampitheater is on the Sear Center property. It is essentially a band shell set in a park like setting. The area near the shell is tiered grass with multiple levels where people can set up chairs and tables. Picnics and alcohol are encouraged. The area outside of the immediate band shell is raised above the surrounding walls - there are areas shaded by trees and areas that are open to the sun. There is also a food stand where easy outdoor food like hot dogs are available. They also offer beer and wine. We brought our own, so I didn't get to sample any of their offering. The night we went the Village of Hoffman Estates sponsored a free concert given by a Beatles cover band. While they were not the best cover band I've seen, the event was very well attended. I did not count, but would guess there were at least 300 to 400 people there. Most of the people there were old enough to remember the Beatles in their prime, but there were a few families that attended. People danced and sang along, and generally had a good time. I imagine that this is typical of what you would see there and plan to go again this summer.

What works well: -Addition of cocktails instead of just beer. -80's lounge with great music and more samples. -Maine lobster rolls. Wow! Delicious and filling. -16" of steak on a stick! Heck yes! -The Messengers band was fantastic and fun to sing along with. -Lucha Libre wrestling was a fun add in 2019. -Plenty of parking or access for drop off for Shared rides. -Plenty of restrooms at the site. What can be improved: -Adding some round high boys in the food area would be helpful. They had them near the band in 2018 but absent this year. It's hard to balance food and drink while walking around. This would really be a helpful add. -I don't recall seeing any maps of the layout at the door. Unless I just missed them, this would be helpful too. -More live music would be nice. Overall a fun event worth what you pay for VIP or G.A.

The Windy City Bulls wore Philippine themed jerseys which was pretty cool. Throughout the night they celebrated or talked about the Philippines and the history. They opened with the Philippine National Anthem followed by the United States National Anthem. For the first 2,000 fans, they gave away a toy Jeepney and if you wanted a special hat, you had to purchase it with the admission ticket. The game was entertaining and the Bulls won! What I really loved about it was it was very kid friendly and all the kids loved it. The were really involved and were into the game! The big screen and score was not over the court like most arenas, but it was off to the side. The benefit of that was the screen was bigger than the normal over the court screen. Overall, I really liked the arena, the game and the way they made it kid focused. What a great way to get the younger kids to love Bulls basketball. Parking was free and it took sometime to get out but once you got past the main lot entry, it was smooth sailing (unless you were trying to get to the 90 Interstate. I would go to another game for sure! I highly recommend going if you have little ones that loves basketball.

From what I saw, it looked like Pinstripes could easily accommodate several large gatherings happening at the same time without feeling too noisy or crowded. Even with a good number of people enjoying different events at the same time, service was still quick and friendly. The food here was also delicious. All the different fruits and vegetables that I tried here were fresh and colorful, and I really appreciate the extra effort they put into good presentation throughout the buffet. This gave me the feeling of enjoying a nice brunch on a more luxury line of a cruise boat. In particular, the carved meats and various stations like the waffle, omelet, and chocolate fountain stations really stood out. Not only were the items here delicious, but it really gave this brunch a more premium feel and was great for fun pictures with all the customization options available. Overall, great event space with a great brunch option available. I'd like to return here another day to try some of the activity options and try more of their dining options.

The staff checked us in quickly, got our shoe sizes, and handed us our bowling shoes before directing us to a high-top table to wait for our lane. It looked like they were coordinating with a family still sitting at a lane with kids, possibly checking if they were finished so they could clean it for us. After about 10 minutes, we were seated in that same lane I mentioned previously, which had two comfy leather couches facing each other. The space was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The place wasn't too busy when we arrived, but there were a few large groups hosting work holiday parties, despite it being late January. We had a two-hour reservation, and the experience was a blast. Our lane worked perfectly, and the blacklight atmosphere added a fun touch. One of the coolest features was the interactive avatars, which changed accessories as we racked up points. I didn't order any food, but my husband and friends did, and they all loved it. I tried some of my husband's croutons from his chicken Caesar salad, and they were well-seasoned. My friend enjoyed her gnocchi, and her boyfriend liked his chicken Caesar salad as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely bowl here again!
