More affordable than most of the other big name brands such as Safeway or Shop Rite. The service is always usually good at Wegmans as well as the variety of food to choose from. They can make you fresh sandwiches, pizza, sushi, asian cuisine etc. The ambiance at this location is also really fun since the inside of the supermarket has its own unique designs to make you think you're walking through a town. Finally the best and most important part of this supermarket is the size of it. This supermarket is huge and has so much variety in everything to choose from its almost impossible to pass up on so much. This is the supermarket I prefer to go to next to Trader Joe's thanks to everything I just mentioned.

Their ready-to-go food section is absolutely amazing. Whenever I'm in town, I always stop by to stock up on: crunchy raisin bran (Wegmans brand) cherry vanilla seltzer (Wegmans brand) basting oil (Wegmans brand) bread & bagels I know that there are other Wegmans nearby, but this location is the OG for me.

PQM has always had this full service: place order on-line, drive up and they will put it in car for you. You can allow for substitutions, or even with that they are kind enough to call to make certain that its okay. If you like to walk the aisles, this is also a full service store that has KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY and helpful staff. I am emphasizing this because of the dumb and sour possess that go to work only for their paychecks elsewhere. When you check-out, besides bagging, they offer to walk you to car to load-up. yellow-where do you get THAT ? I have always supported this market. I think that if I was elderly, it would help me to keep my independence. but in these apocalypse times, this grocer has turned good service into necessity. Better than most store is their cultural and local variety which is always fresh and also interesting new items as well as various ethnic flavors. They run good sales, honor their sales, and run a very clean shop. I have be turned onto several local brands, new cheeses, and finally went back to eating lunch meats because of PQM. You can even order meals pre-made. As always, i am a firm supporter and only shop here. Thank you PQM for your outstanding service, fresh meats and foods, clean store, and all you pleasant staff. hats off !

I've essentially given up writing reviews about supermarkets, which, if memory serves me correctly,…read moreI was kind of obsessive about during the Covid era (which is a bit of a misnomer, as Covid is still around-- I had it a few weeks ago). I reviewed which supermarkets had more of the items I wanted, which ones practiced Covid "safety" initiatives (like making aisles go in 1 direction), etc. I also remember being obsessed with the customer service skills of clerks-- which ones acknowledged me with at least a smile, had a few pleasant words, or said nothing at all, or looked at me like they were trying, with every fiber of their being, to keep from jumping over the cash register to assault me. Times have changed. I bring my own bags now, bag my own groceries. I don't lose sleep these days over whether the clerk is friendly or borderline hostile or completely indifferent. I tend to go to the same few supermarkets and marvel only at how the prices of everything continue to climb (so much for the promises of an orange vampire but let me stop before I meander my way over into a political harangue combining elements of rage, astonishment, fear and despair). I've been coming to Princeton periodically for decades (primarily for the Princeton Record Exchange these days) and I have been in this shopping center a few times. Once, decades ago, to visit a book store (the name escapes me now, but it wasn't Borders, which I don't think existed yet, or Barnes & Noble; whatever the name of it was, it's long gone). Once to see a movie with a friend ("Little Odessa" with Tim Roth). The movie theater is still here, which is gratifying. And 1 time to shop at the Shop Rite after visiting Princeton. That was years ago, and I don't remember what prompted the visit. I don't remember it made all that much of an impression on me. A bag or 2 of groceries and then home. This time, I was coming back from Princeton, and I still had food shopping to do. Maybe it's just advancing old age, and a growing sense of exhaustion when faced with the simplest tasks, but the thought of driving all the way back to Basking Ridge and then heading out to the local Shop Rite, or the Stop & Shop, filled me with an enervating dread (I was a few days away from being diagnosed with Covid, which perhaps explains it). I pulled into the parking lot here, figuring it would probably be best to just get it out of the way. Parking spaces were fairly plentiful. I grabbed a cart, my 2 empty bags (I carry a few in my car) and headed inside. This Shop Rite is pretty big. Thankfully, it wasn't too crowded. I found pretty much everything I needed, and then some. I usually buy 2 pre-packaged salads for lunch (I find salads very, very boring, but I am making some efforts to eat healthier). The pre-packaged salads here seem to be a different brand than I normally buy, have a better grade of lettuce, and contain additional items like pomegranate seeds, berries, etc. I also buy pre-packaged slices of lean chicken. The pre-packaging for the chicken here seemed to be of a better quality than I normally get, as did the chicken itself. I bought a jar of Russian borscht soup, which I've always really liked (I acquired a taste for it when dining in NYC Slavic restaurants years and years ago), and haven't had in a while. And, to top it off, they carried a 6-pack of Stewart's grape soda in bottles. I'm not a big soda drinker (I try to keep it down to 1 small bottle a week) but I really, really like grape soda. The Shop Rite near me had it once or twice several years ago, and never since. Do the people in Basking Ridge not like Stewart's grape soda? I guess not. Checking everything out was relatively simple. The clerk wasn't overly friendly but didn't radiate bored malevolence either. Also, I found the prices of my groceries to be surprisingly reasonable. Willi I be rushing back here to do my grocery shopping in future? No. But I've come to look on grocery shopping overall as an ordeal just short of getting a tooth extracted, a necessary but depressing and increasingly expensive activity. Shopping at this location in Skillman was pretty quick and painless. Shop Rite of Montgomery? Truth is-- You had me at "grape soda!"

The store is large with many options. I was very shocked by the size and what they offer. Checker was not friendly which was very strange to me but maybe she was having a bad day. The first breakfast catering was wrong. I had ordered a 4 parfaits that serves 10-12 as I was hosting 40+ people. The driver was in coat with me and was waiting for the parfait. When the order arrived it was missing the yogurt and granola but did have 4 berry bowls and 4 individual parfaits. I did immediately call and the initially offered to take half the cost off, I did not believe this to be fair as I had only received the fruit which if purchased separately would have been significantly less. After being on hold for a few min they were able to credit back an acceptable amount. They also recognized that I also had an upcoming lunch and they would make sure it was correct. I am currently living in San Francisco so San Franciscans in Philly can think of Mom's Organic Market akin to Rainbow Grocery in SF. Mom's has a great variety of local and organic produce. Hard to find items that you would find in a good well stocked natural food store or cooperative like Mom's is. Staff is friendly. The layout of the store is a labyrinth that can be confusing like a rubik's cube too far gone yet with a little patience and perhaps asking security, staff, or one of the regulars they can help you get your learning curve to navigate the store of organic natural food product heaven. Within Mom's is the Naked Lunch vegan restaurant which I will return to have a bite there as it looks interesting. I am a proud graduate of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in Boulder, CO where I received the William S. Burroughs scholarship. I did my thesis on William S. Burroughs and William S. Burroughs wrote Naked Lunch aka the cut up novel for which this restaurant is named. Since I was in Philly two weeks I was mixing up dining out at the wonderful vegan foodie scene in Philly along with cooking at my homestay. For cooking at my homestay at Mom's I picked up the following: Soymilk Local and organic blueberries Bananas Garnet jewel sweet potatoes Limes Avocados Organic granny smith apples Red cabbage Ginger root Sweet yellow onion I am pretty sure all the produce was organic. Mom's has been family owned and operated since 1987. Great bulk bin items. Great produce. In a word, great. Mom's sets the bar high for a natural food store. They are like the special forces of natural food stores which is quite alright in my book. Each day Mom's states customers prevent 9,233 grocery bags from being used. Mom's has banned over 250 ingredients from our products storewide. Mom's has chosen to print their receipts on BPA and BPS free paper products for the safety of it's community and the environment. In a word...Yes!
