The bride and I stopped here the other night for dinner. We were seated immediately as the business was slow(?). The waitress was great! The bride ordered the shrimp cocktail, for an appetizer and spaghetti with red clam sauce for dinner. I ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer and the surf and turf for dinner. The food was amazing! The homemade crab cakes were served on a bed of seasoned corn that was delicious by it self. The filet mignon was the perfect temperature for me, at medium. The lobster tail was broiled and sweet. I'm one of the few who actually like lobster for the taste, without a bath of melted butter, it was delicious as well. The brides shrimp was chilled nicely and she loved it. The clam sauce, was only second to her own homemade clam sauce, which is saying a lot! If you want a great meal and great service, I'd highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

Villa Sena is so very steeped in history previously known as the historic Davan Lodge where shakers and movers visited like the King of Siam! The list is long. I have enjoyed many wonderful dinners here. being close to Bradford County Airport you could fly in and walk her on a nice day. But then they have two courtesy cars at the airport.!!! read more

First of all... we have been to the Villa several times and love their service, dinners, atmosphere and drinks..Every time! Covid has made our town a ghost town on Monday nights, BUT the Villa Sena is still here to serve you an absolutely fantastic meal! I chose the lobster stuff haddock for the first time and it was amazing! My dressing for my salad was homemade, the salad was fresh, French fries and broccoli were also on point. My husband chose the seafood Alfredo and was also very pleased with his choice. There were No leftovers for us... it was too good!! Thanks Villa Sena for a fantastic Monday meal!! Lifeless....An establishment should take pride in their food prep, presentation & hospitality, none of which was presented to us tonight at the Villa. This was to be a remembrance dinner for our mother who recently passed away & we were very disappointed. We had good meals there pre-Covid but here is what we experienced this time: We asked the waitress about the bolognese sauce & she described it incorrectly & had to come back with a correction so we ordered meat sauce w/angel hair pasta instead but when it came it was spaghetti so we had to return it but when they brought it back w/angel hair there was very little sauce & it tasted watery & lifeless. A simple sauce should be complex & tasty, Italian food is judged by their sauces..we could of had better sauce in a jar off the shelf..& not offered parmesan cheese, had to ask for it?! Then we got a shaker of processed cheese..Good Italian restaurants immediately offer fresh parmesan cheese on your pasta, grated right there in front of you, the salads were drenched in dressing, so much so that we couldnt finish them & they made our eyes water! Also, we asked for bread twice but never got it. The owner came to our table & asked how our meal was & as we explained about the sauce being lifeless, he just repeated "lifeless?" & walked away..WOW, most restaurants would have offered another meal or a free drink..at least they didnt charge us for it but our check was still $57 so we were a substantial customer & would of appreciated being treated as such. We will not go back & other reviews have said similar things..The owner needs to read his reviews & make changes..Sad read more

Disgustingly understaffed. Seated at 6:00pm. Took over an hour to get water, and without exaggerating, one hour and forty minutes for entries to arrive. The food was good, but not worth a 100 minute wait. I only saw two waitresses working. They pump out the drinks pretty quickly, but struggle with food . This place is dysfunctional. Ate here once and it gave me food poisoning and made me sick for a straight month, food so bad I got traumatized lmao, don't eat here unless you have no standards and your body can handle eating genuine garbage, everything here was bad but the waitresses were nice, it's expensive and horrible so just don't come here. read more

Fine little Italian Restaurant. had the usual "traditional" Italian items on the menu. We had the risotto, corn-crab chowder, spaghetti in red sauce, fettucine carbonara, and peanut butter pie. All were done very well, and the service was professional. We adjourned to the bar after dinner, which was a treat. bartender (J?) was awesome, music was great (Sirius plus a digital jukebox), plus a nice roaring fire. read more

Do you have tastebuds? Do you like Italian Food? DONT. GO. HERE. I am usually not one to go out of my way to write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to save the travelling business folk who pass through Towanda the same fate that my colleagues and myself met tonight. Maybe I am slightly jaded, being an "foodie" used to dining in metropolitan areas. But I am pretty sure that Bruschetta isn't doughy room-temperature bread (not toasted) with COLD roasted red peppers and mozzarella melted on top. Veal Saltimbucca? While the veal itself was cooked okay, it was coated in whole onion, with a meat I don't think was Prosciutto....in a sugary glaze that had such a horrible after taste I am now eating combos and gummi bears in my hotel room (the Combos and Gummis being the highlight of my culinary experience in Towanda). Add to this disaster the funny-tasting tap water (which had to be requested), no silverware with dessert, the incorrect check, and very slow service (although we were for the most part the ONLY ones in the dining room). I was excited to order Ruffino Chianti, one of my favorites, but I am pretty sure that was not what I was served. In hindsight, Wendy's would have been a better pick. read more

I wish I could give a better review. I have been going to the villa for many years, as has many friends and family members. The atmosphere is cozy, place is clean, nice outdoor seating area when the weather is nice, but I haven't eaten a meal there in two years. We go for a cocktail ( Mike is very nice) but I had three awful dinners in a row - three strikes and Ye'r out. Nobody I know goes there to eat anymore because they have all had bad food. And just so you know, I'm so NOT picky! I love food and eat everything! They have stopped serving lunch now. I would hate to see this gem of a place close but their cook is awful! read more

We came after a LONG day of shooting guns for an event for the "after party" of sorts. The restaurant was told people would be coming and possibly stay for dinner which they clearly did not take seriously. We were so hungry by the time the food came out we waited for TWO hours for our meals. We were a table of 5 and there was a couple other tables occupied in the restaurant, not enough that staff couldn't refill drinks, but I guess 4 tables and a patio that only had finger food was too much for them to handle. The food was subpar at best. The bruschetta was Texas toast garlic bread with tomatoes in top. Im all for supporting local and family owned but so many things went wrong. Unlike prior reviews I found this to be one of the better restaurants in Towanda. Ate here twice this trip and food was fresh & well prepared with decent menu selections and tempting specials. Only detractor was somewhat slow service but we were in no hurry so not an issue. read more

The Villa has come along way in the past year or so since it has changed ownership. The menu is better and the service has improved dramatically. Food quality is dependable and there is always fun to be had at the bar. Sit outside if the weather is nice. read more

Had dinner here one night while we were in town based on my girlfriends prior experience here. Dinner was mediocre. I got the vodka sauce that tasted like an ok marinara sauce. She had the chicken picatta. The chicken was very dry but everything else tasted good. Service was kind of slow for a week night with only 3 other tables occupied. This is the best place in town for dinner! Very welcoming staff and friendly! Don't forget to have some of Mary's homemade desert!!! The steaks are cooked to perfection, the sauce homemade with a handed down recipe through the family, and I recommend the crab cake appetizer! We have been coming to Villa Sena since 1983. The whole family makes it a point to go there every time we are in the area. This is a traditional Italian restaurant of the type that is getting hard to find. Much of the food is homemade, and it just about everything is prepared to order and delicious. Get the salad, side or dinner, with crumbly blue cheese Italian dressing. It is unique. Pasta dishes are mouth watering and ample. The owner is usually there, tending bar and making sure everything runs smoothly. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is mountain lodge. It sits on a hillside overlooking a valley with the Towanda airport below. In the warm months you can sit on the deck and be one with the view. We love it and think you will, too. read more

Me and my wife went here one night for dinner it was the first time I was ever there. You drive up a nice long driveway up to the Villa Sena. We walking in and were nicely greeted and asked to seat on the deck. We sat down and a min later our waitress came over to us and took our drink order and told us the specials for the day. She came back with our drinks and took our food order. One thing I have never seen was the chef him self came out to the table and told me they did not have the one thing I ordered but he can make me this instead. After he left I was like wow I have never seen that anyplace. We got our appetizer nice and quick after. A few mins later our main meal came. As we were eating we saw the chef back out on the deck and he went from table to table and asked how his food was and if there was anything wrong with any of it. Wow really I have again never seen a chef come out to every table and seen how the food is. The food was great perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our experience was great beautiful view and a nice clean place with great food and great service. We will be going back. read more

I've had amazing food here and I've have food that made me angry that I was paying for it. This place can be very inconsistent.

The food is very good. The service is also very good. They have absolutely beautiful grounds. The outdoor seating is really terrific!

This was my first time here and I have to say I'm kinda disappointed. The food was okay, and for the cost you didn't get a lot of food, My friend and I both left hungry. The waitress was new but she was decent, the service was slow, they only had around three tables with 2 waitresses. read more
