The entire team was great, very professional, experienced, and compassionate with both the patient and our family members. They also respond quickly to emergencies, all of them were very accessible and supported every time I reached out to them during that time of need. I am very grateful to Dr. Hernandez Cancio-Bello, he was very kind, very talkative and outspoken, the main Nurse Yasmine Rodriguez Rios who she visited my dad a few times per week, paying attention of my dad's vital signs, etc. and she was part of the family, like another daughter for him, taking care of everything he needed. The Chaplain Eliseo Seme Santiago who brought happiness and psychological support to my dad through his reflections and music, the Social Worker Yazmin Ale who answered my calls, guided me, and clarified any doubt for me. Every single person that came to my dad's house was not only extremely qualified but truly cared, including the 24 hrs. nurses like Jose Maria Redondo who was attentive to all my dad's needs. I had good experiences as well with the hospice equipment company "Life health Care Services", when the oxygen concentration machine it was broken, they replaced it, as soon as they could the same day. I highly recommend all of them. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, for all your help and support. Grisel Rebollar.

Proceed with caution. Broward county staff -- Communication…read morewas poor and inconsistent throughout our experience. We encountered unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a staff member, Geanny Rodriguez. The care my mother received did not meet the expectations that were presented at enrollment, and services changed significantly after she was discharged home. We felt her best interests were not consistently respected. Staff frequently spoke in a language not understood by our family in front of us, even after we brought it to their attention. When we decided to transfer her care, Catholic Hospice discontinued services before alternative care was in place, leaving our family without support during a critical time. This experience raised serious concerns about professionalism, communication, and continuity of care. Not to mention, oxygen concentrator broke first night then again at 1am the fourth day.

He was diagnosed with both vascular dementia and Alzheimer's in 2015, and eventually he needed more care than I could provide for him at home. They kept him clean and dry and well taken care of. Everything is done on a schedule here, and it's a good thing because the residents all know when meals & snack times are. They get changed on a schedule (and sometimes someone needs an extra change) and they keep a list of the residents for each changing time so no one gets missed. The facility smells clean and looks clean all the time. They have a dining room with fresh cooked meals for every meal, no prepackaged or microwave stuff. They have doctors, nurses, podiatrists, physical therapists, and hair dressers etc all come in, so the stress of taking him for appointments was gone. I didn't have to bring anything except for clothes and toiletries, they washed and/or provided everything else. The main "living room" on the first floor is used during the day for activities, and it has big windows and comfortable chairs for visiting in. Or you can visit on the covered back patio that has ceiling fans so it doesn't get too hot. The building has a backup generator, hurricane windows and is a hurricane shelter. I signed a paper that said he could stay there during hurricanes, which gave me peace of mind too. They have a fire sprinkler system in the whole building and fire extinguishers are easily seen on every wall. They are set up for 45 residents, and each attendant/caregiver has 4-5 residents to take care during the day, so everyone has help. Everyone knew my husband's name, which was a big deal to me. I wanted him to be treated as a person until the end, and he was. The monthly price was all-inclusive, so no added surprises. They billed medicare for his meds and doctor visits, so I didn't even have to do that. All I did was visit him, bring snacks, and sit and talk with him. Having him live at Mi Casa was a great decision!

Mike and Rachel are the owners, they are very involved and present. The staff is incredibly kind, gentle and truly loving to the residents. I would not hesitate to put my own parents here!
