I truly love Covenant Living! This community is beautiful, and they are constantly investing in improvements and updates. My grandparents have lived here for over 15 years on the independent living side, and their building was just renovated again less than two weeks ago , they really stay on top of keeping everything fresh and well maintained. Everything is within walking distance, and the wide doors and hallways are thoughtfully designed to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs with ease. The staff are consistently friendly, the public areas are spotless, and security is always kind and welcoming when you come to visit. Parking is plentiful, with both paved spots and shaded parking available in front of buildings under the trees. The food is delicious, and the dining plan makes daily life easy and enjoyable. You can grab a quick order at the bistro or sit down for a more traditional restaurant-style meal. There are daily activities -- with even more during the holidays and different seasons -- and they decorate beautifully for every occasion. The rooms are lovely, bright, and comfortable. Light housekeeping is included, along with many other customizable service options to meet individual needs. It's a thoughtfully run community that truly feels like home. read more

I had an awful fall 8/27/23 and after my hospital stay I still needed further help before transitioning home. I was most fortunate to have Covenant Rehab recommended to me by a good friend. I was a little hesitant/scared the first night as I was still in so much pain. Once I relaxed (took a day or two) I began to feel the warmth of the staff there. So many that treated me like family, Nurses Angie, Joel, Sherma, Vannesa. Assistants Sharon, Toussant and lovely Elizabeth. The PT staff of course, Sydney, Simi, Tommy and Camille. Others that were so helpful too include, Candace, Florise, Linda and Daphna. I can't thank this team many left unmentioned for the love and kindness you shared with me and to all those around you. Visited this place twice. First when a friend moved in and then when she held an open house for all our friends. The accommodations are awesome. The apartments are top of the line. The only thing that I found small was the kitchen. But who cooks anymore? Especially when they have a great restaurant on premises. We were treated like royalty. The food was excellent. The environment is warm inviting and yet very much like a home. read more

The staff is great. The nurses, the CNAs, the rehab staff and the front desk staff. Also the activities planner. They were all great! My husband was there for physical rehabilitation after leaving Cleveland Clinic. Many places have CNAs that don't really care or aren't helpful. Not the case here. They were lovely! read more

WORST experience of my life! My mother went in for rehab after stroke & heart attack & NEVER came home....she passed away Unable to feed herself, walk, go to the bathroom they still took her to physical therapy where she just sat in her wheelchair! I spoke with her nurse, physical therapist, social worker, & ask to speak with a doctor. There was NO doctor at the facility. Spoke with NP (her badge said NP) asking if my mother had another stroke? NO answer...."she has to get worse before she gets better" she replied. Googled NP name ..NO one by that name came up but rather person is listed as "nurses assistant" NO COMMUNICATION with the family! NONE! Put her food tray down & walked away. I never saw her receive any medication and she was put in Depends which they changed twice a day I saw my mother suffer HORRIBLY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! Take your loved one home to die with dignity as I wish I had done (discharge doctor from hospital advised against this thus why she was there to begin with) There are NO stars for rating this facility!!!! read more

My great aunt is 88, she is prospering at Covenant. When she arrived she had not been doing well at all, she was unable to walk. After more than a year there she is attending water aerobics and spry as ever. She has made a lovely friend and dinner companion who is 91. I would assume both of them are 20 years younger. She has a very busy social life with flower arranging and ministry work. Thank you for keeping my aunt are during the pandemic and keeping her sharp and happy these past months. Her apartment is roomy with high cwilings and we'll appointed, the common spaces are beautiful. It is so good to see someone thriving as an octagenarian! Well done. read more

In being involved with community outreach programs, as well as having worked in an ALF/Rehab. years ago, I recommend Covenant Village in Plantation to those thinking about retiring, or having to make the painful decision to place a parent or other family member in a rehabilitation facility. On our recent visit, our first impression was extemely positive. There is security on the premises and both the grounds and indoor areas are pristine! I soon realized that not only is there a caring administrative and healthcare staff on premises 24/7, but that this is a place that I personally would consider residing in. Covenant Village is multifaceted with resort-style one and two bedroom apartments, pool & jacuzzi, fitness center, and other great amenities. As you walk through the hallways, the feeling is one of being in a five-star hotel. The formal dining room tables are dressed with white linen tablecloths, and the informal one is just as nice. For lunch this day they served white fish, steamed veggies, plus other delicious and nutritious items. Besides the residential/ALF, Covenant has a wellness and continuing care center. On this occasion, a few of my coworkers and I went to bring some joy and entertainment to the activity center. My coworker and sax player, Stuey Blue, brought a full menu of oldies but goodies music; dating back to the Big Band era. We were welcomed and well received by all! Although it's always very difficult to see those who are bedridden, it was rewarding to know that we brought a ray of sunshine to the everyday. It might sound cliche to some, but it truly is more blessed to give than to receive. Seeing the smiles, the tapping of feet, humming and clapping was priceless! I couldn't help but to walk away thinking, 'If we felt this good, the staff here must feel great each day they get to help those who made a lifelong difference (in their walk of life) in others.' read more

So happy they "took" my MIL. She was ready and willing and they made the transition seamless. They do all of their interviewing to make sure their residents will adjust and be capable of fitting in to an environment where they have little to be worried about for the rest of their lives. My MIL came from a 55+ community, (she still has her house for sale) and wanted a bit more of a planned lifestyle where she could be independent yet not so dependent on me and my husband. Her 1 bedroom apartment is great. New appliances and cabinetry, new floors and a nice balcony. Everything is pretty modern even in a older building. Lots of planned events and activities. Like a college dorm for old folks. She is fine with the food situation even though it keeps changing. She is fine with the parking eventhough senile people keep parking in her assigned spot. She is fine with all her neighbors eventhough she claims she hasn't met anyone new. Her neighbors from Hawthorn Village in Plantation keep moving there so she is starting to feel more at home. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! My father was here for five days and he almost died from neglect. I came once and they left his water too far for him to reach. He was so thirsty he almost drank the entire pitcher when I gave it to him. Another time there was a lady in his room feeding him and she said, "I'm not a nurse. I'm the daughter of the patient next to him. It's just that the staff here left him unattended for so long." This place is terrible. The staff act like they hate working there and it shows. Steer clear of this place. read more

Deciding to have a parent move into Covenant Village was not an easy one. But it wasn't long before I realized this was the best decision I'd make. The staff was wonderful, Kerri in particular the person that assisted us was phenomenal. Answering our endless questions, guiding us through the process always concerned for what was best for Mom (without being pushy). Her concern was genuine and her guidance is something I will be forever grateful. Mom is living there about 7 months now and made the adjustment beautifully. She is an active 94 year old and is enjoying all the activities they offer. Line dancing, magic shows, exercise classes, pool activities, wii bowling, music, movies, just to name a few. She has new friends and enjoys having her meals and socializing with them when she wants. The food choices are wonderful and I also enjoy sharing meal time with her when shes not to busy! I could go on forever but the best thing is to check it out if you are in need of an independent living facility or assisted living facility. Mom and I are thrilled we made Covenant Village her home. read more

I recently had a bad fall and was transferred from the hospital to Covenant for rehabilitation. I arrived in a very weakened condition unable to walk or have the strength for the necessary rehabilitation. In spite of that, thanks to the five star quality of everyone in the rehabilitation department, I got stronger and I got better. It didn't matter who worked with you in the rehabilitation department. Everyone was top notch. In addition to the quality care in the rehabilitation department, every other aspect of my care from the administration, admissions department, social services, reception, nurses, CNA 's, the chef and kitchen staff, and everyone in housekeeping was terrific. I was treated like family. I will be forever grateful and I hope to someday move to Covenant as a full-time resident. read more

We moved here a little over two years ago and we love it! The residents and staff have made making a home here easy. There are so many activities including exercise classes, lectures, entertainment, movies and more. Our location near Central Park in Plantation make it easy to take walks and enjoy nature. We put my grandma, Terry, in Covenant Living for the 2nd time because she needs physical rehab. The nursing staff, therapists and overall hospitality is awesome. We met with woman by the name of Mykelle Henry who was extremely helpful and caring for my grandma at all hours. Plus my grandma looks so happy and feels that they're watching out for at all hours - I came by one day and they had shows, arts and crafts and other stuff for her to stay sharp...Highly recommended. read more

STEER CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE. IF I COULD HELP ANYONE READING THIS. PLEASE STAY AWAY. To begin with they have no social worker that is competent. the social worker quit and they hired an agency to cover & the person did not know anything. the nurses are inept, physical therapy is awful. After speaking with people about this place they said to me, "If I knew you were sending him there, I would have warned you". If you are looking for a facility for your loved one, the most important person to interview is the social worker because they are the people responsible for establishing after care for your loved ones when they are ready to go home. read more
