From the moment we met the Parkside staff, we were impressed by their kindness and helpfulness. The Tamarac location is brand new (as of March 2025) and it is dedicated exclusively to Memory Care services (as opposed to assisted living). Parkside also offers furnished rooms, which made our move even easier. When you tour the new location, you can see that every detail has been carefully considered, and everything is pristine. The central kitchen would be a dream for any professional chef, and the beauty salon is fully equipped and conveniently located for all residents to use (see photos). Moving a parent or loved one who suffers from dementia can be overwhelming, but the staff at Parkside went above and beyond to make the transition as smooth as possible. We are incredibly grateful for their support.

They have a state-of-the-art clubhouse that has ping pong tables , a theater and a gym The apartments themselves are very large 900 square feet and all of them have a balcony. The balconies look out on the trees including the pool for some and the lake for others. The only negative in the two units we saw were the kitchens, which are outdated. Two meals a day are provided so I was not as concerned about the kitchen. Mom and I had dinner in their dining room and I have to say the food was very good. They have a regular menu and then an alternate menu that you can choose from daily. There are four course dinners available if you want to eat a lot. My mom will be moving in next week. It just so happened that Stacey had recently found a place for my uncle that suited his needs, and relieved my aunt of the full responsibility for his care. I had her number and called in a panic. Not only did she get a 48-hour extension on the rehab release, but found a nice facility that offered independent and assisted living, the latter of which my mom needed. Stacey walked me through the steps and connected me with people I needed to deal with to process paperwork and finances, rent furniture until I could get some of my mom's stuff over there, and maintain contact with regular visits until I could get out to help out face-to-face. Even with help, this process was overwhelming and a bit traumatic for all concerned. I can't imagine where I would have started "shopping" for a place where I'd know my mom would be safe and cared for. After a brief meeting with my mom (and a very short conversation about finances), Stacey immediately found a place that has been an excellent match for my mom's needs and tastes.
