I stayed at Charm from 7/23 to 7/30 and this was the best part of my entire surgery experience. I had no idea what kind of care to expect and was quite scared of the entire process, but I was blown away with every single person I dealt with at Charm. I don't speak Spanish and most of the ladies didn't speak English but they had translator apps ready and we communicated well. Language was no barrier at all. I learned a few Spanish words, they learned some English ones and we had lots of laughs. I paid for a private room with shared bathroom which was perfect for me. Everything was so clean and comfortable. I stayed the night before my surgery so when I needed to go, they woke me up and got me an Uber to go to my surgery. Maria then picked me up after I was done and took me back to Charm. The amount of care they showed me still gives me goosebumps just thinking about how great they were. When we got to the house they had additional people waiting all to help me inside and get me situated. Then they constantly checked on me and made sure I had food, water, medicine, TV, etc. I had a call button, which I used a lot since I couldn't get in or out of the chair or when I couldn't reach anything. There was not a single request I made that made me feel I was asking too much or I was a bother. I remember when I first had to use the restroom shortly after the surgery and I was standing there thinking to just let me die from this pain as I almost passed out, they were ready with rubbing alcohol spray bottles, holding me up and getting me through it. These women are Angels! I just can't thank them all enough! Adriana, Maria, Leidy, Loreidi, and the other 2 (I'm so sorry I didn't write those names down), I would not have survived this without you all and I am so thankful to you all. I hope I never need to have surgery like this again, but if I do, I will be back at Charm for sure.

New to the area and accepted a job that I probably really didn't want, but really needed and thought it would be a foot in the door. I am a very hard worker that has over 8 years experience with a very large school system as a Head Cook. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly, anywhere. From the start it took weeks to get a background check done. Everything about the hiring process was pretty unprofessional. Had me do new job orientation while being expected to serve meals to 66 patients with less than 2 weeks training. Then after completing that, being told I can't sit down for a few minutes (after nonstop runnning my ass off, over 4 and a half hours) or even have some water. Really? Horrible way to treat people. Even prisoners get water. Most all that work there (mainly Spanish speaking) hate working there and have no respect for management. Of course they complain amongst themselves, say Horrible things about those they work for and steal any chance they get. Company is very big on rules and obviously setting examples, only problem is that those rules don't apply to all. Was told by a supervisor to take food off of other peoples uneaten trays (ice cold) and make up trays for orders that came in late-awful! The whole experience was terrible, never, ever want to go near that hospital again. I know it's not the hospitals fault, but clearly they pay Aramark to be there. Do they have no idea what goes on there? No matter how badly you need a job, my advice is go anywhere else. You are better than this! And note to self, never let anyone I care about including myself be admitted there and have to eat that food-God only knows!
