It's not very homey and looks more like a medical facility at times, but the administrator, Maria, has this place working beautifully! It might not look like the prettiest place, but the staff and residents all help around the facility. They even help other residents, if need be, like if they were all family or siblings. Maria is dependable; anything you need she is there helping you or giving it to you immediately. The amount of love and care she gives each resident is so mesmerizing, you can tell that she loves her job. The actual facility itself has always been clean and full of staff. The rooms usually have about 2 beds is it's a small room, if not it's about 4 to 5 people in each room.This facility is not locked, the residents are free to roam around if they are capable of getting back without getting lost. They do watch for their residents that are not able to go out and make sure they don't wander. They are currently not accepting any new residents because all the beds are taken, but be on the look out because that can change!

The head nurse's station is helpless; I spent four hours in the room, and not once did a nurse come by to check on my loved one. They are not winning any awards for compassion or professionalism. Behind closed doors, it's a whole different story--they treat patients like they're just numbers, not human beings in need of care. Save yourself the heartache and find somewhere else to entrust your loved one's health. This place is an absolute disaster. If you don't have a choice, do not leave them alone; you never know what they will do when family is not around.

She is well taken care of ; she actually has gained weight and I mean that by healthy weight ( since she was so fragile when she first got there). They do so many events for them to make them feel as if they are still home with their family. The place itself is beautiful and very modern. They try to accommodate her as much as possible. Also, any medical issue the patient might have they address it as quickly as possible to the doctors to get the patient as healthy as they can be.

Just like it is a last resort placement for me, it's also a last resort place for residents that are behaviorally problematic. Usually the residents here are ones that have gone through many placements and are not stable. Funnily enough, once they are placed here, it's the last place they can go to, and end up being "stable" for the facility. There are usually about 3 residents in a room and even though it looks like a dump outside, the rooms have always been clean and smelled of Clorox. The staff are fully aware of the place they work in though and are very accommodating and understanding. They are helpful and attentive when I show up there and give me the information I need.

The residents that are able to, help around the home and clean up after themselves. Some of the residents are also signed up for a day program that they go to at least once a week or more. The facility has always been pretty clean but can sometimes have a foul odor if a resident isn't cleaned or attended to. I feel like if they added at least 1 or 2 more caretakers, that would be taken care of though. The rooms usually have about 2 to 4 people depending on the room size. This isn't the first place I would go to if I am looking for a home, but it's definitely on the list because of the staff and administrator!
