Stoney Creek Venue - A sweet suite

    Stoney Creek Venue

My daughter was getting married and had decided that she wanted a venue wedding. She picked out…read moremany places to look at to inspect and pick from. Our travels covered from Seguin to Blanco, to Twin Sisters, to Wimberly, to Boerne and every place in between. This was the one that she decided met her vision the best. This venue is new, and the owners have done a really nice job of preparing a wonderful place to have the ceremony. In fact, they were still working on the property at the time of our meeting and the next thing to be completed before her wedding was sleeping quarters for attendees. As the groom's family was coming here from Mississippi and New Jersey, it made a very nice place for them to stay without having to do a lot of driving. Additionally, the site also included a mancave, bridesmaid area, kitchen, dining hall, bar, and other things. In talking with the owner, he said that he was already planning to enlarge the dining/dancing area as he was limited to about 125 guests, which was about the amount of folks we had attend. My daughter and future husband were limited when they could get married due to his job. They had to fit the wedding in between the end of football season and before basketball playoffs. Add open dates for the venue, and we ended up with a January wedding. January in south Texas can be tricky. It can be 80+ degrees, or it can be 20. Thankfully, on her big day, it was the last beautiful day before a frigid cold front blew in. When your daughter is getting married, you want everything to be perfect. For the most part, that is what we got. The owners, officiant, the actual venue, food, DJ, bartender, and security were all exceptional. The only issue we had (and this kept this from being a 5-star review) was with the "day of coordinator". On the evening of the rehearsal, she called and pushed it back as she couldn't get there at the scheduled time (I think that is unacceptable as this was scheduled months in advance). I highly recommend this venue to consider for your wedding. It's a very nice place, and the owners are wonderful. With all the construction ideas they have planned, it will only get nicer.

Let me count…read morethe ways. 1.   Rick (The Owner, Founder, and probable CEO). 2.   Rick 3.   Rick But beyond the incredible hospitality, if you are also concerned about the property venue and how it presents on a wedding day, trust me here--the space is a breath of fresh Texas air. Incredibly stunning: complete with actual Longhorns (who posed in the background for our photos) and heirloom Texas Prickly Pear. Don't even get me started on the cost of wedding venues in Texas. Rick is reasonable. Read that--beauty on a budget. I'm not sure how long this will last since Rick is new to the wedding venue game. The only "issue" is that Rick loves first. People who love first and love well make decisions for brides that put the bride first. Not the business. I truly can not count all the ways he blessed my particular bride, because they wouldn't fit in a Yelp review, but what I can tell you is that if you have any need, please don't let him give it to you for free. That kind of man. Y'all, we need affordable wedding spaces that take your breath away. But, yes, we also need caring business owners who value the person above the place they represent. Rick represents his family, his business and his clients' needs beyond what is industry standard. Think, far beyond. Case in point: I actually had to remind him to cash my check! He was holding it until we got paid, and then I think he may have even forgotten we hadn't paid yet. Bless his heart! The following are actual quotes from our experience: "Didn't y'all already pay me the deposit?" Rick asked. "Yes, Rick. You held the check but it hasn't cashed. Thank you for working with us," I told him. "Oh. Okay. Let me check with my wife. She handles that." Rick is building and curating this space--one auction house and trade show at a time. I can't wait for you to see the lovely stained glass windows he just installed near the bridal suite. Speaking of which, the bridal suite is fit for a Queen. The Orchard was the first venue we toured for my bride. My bride had already toured multiple venue spaces before when her sister got married a few months prior. Everyone on our side of town agreed: this space was just as beautiful and more in line with homespun Texas/elegance core. Think twinkle lights at night with a dance floor built under the stars. A place for romance that becomes real on a very special night, where two souls knit together as one. I promise this can exist outside of a book. I've seen it with my own eyes. Please go tour here. Especially if you are looking for an expansive outdoor space. If your vibe is more formal, there is a climate controlled indoor dining hall where more sensitive guests can spend the evening. I'm sure, like us, you will tour other places. But, if you're also like us, you will do a complete 180 and high tail it back to the Orchard at Spring Branch. Thank you, Rick. You are a gem of a human. We are grateful beyond measure for your grace, your love and the beautiful sanctuary you've worked to create. May you continue to find joy in offering your utmost for His Highest. With deepest respect, Ally and Blake's Mama

Gorgeous spaces, stained glass windows, endless poetic backdrops for your photos, stunning sunset views, and a dance floor under the stars that is worth dreaming about. And we have to mention the amazing longhorns grazing in the pasture... It doesn't get more Texas than that. The bar area was such a breeze to work in -- beautiful, spacious, and the perfect backdrop for crafting cocktails all night. Everything flowed so smoothly, which makes a huge difference when you're in the thick of service. And Rick, the owner, is genuinely one of the kindest humans we've worked with. Warm, welcoming, funny, and clearly passionate about what he's built out there. 10/10 recommend to any one looking for that refined-but-still-relaxed Hill Country magic. We'd be back in a heartbeat!

Rev Lorelei officiated and gave a short non-denominational ceremony that was still thoughtful and heartfelt. We added the bouquet and boutonniere, and both were beautiful. We also did the sand ceremony add-on, which was a really nice touch. Small tip: have someone ready to hold the heart-shaped bottle during that part. My sister stepped in with no notice and absolutely saved us. Rain was in the forecast, and the team suggested clear umbrellas ahead of time, which was such a thoughtful recommendation and made for some really fun photos. The airstream in the back was also a great getting-ready space. I got to spend that time with my mom, sister, niece, and best friend, and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day. The photographer was also fantastic and made the most of the weather and setting. Accessibility note: I have mobility issues and use a cane, and the venue was manageable for me with assistance. There are steps into the airstream and a couple of steps up into the chapel, but there is a banister, which helped a lot along with having someone assist me.

Tucked just behind Gennaro's Trattoria, this place blends the beauty of Tuscany with the rustic charm of Texas. And yes... living just 8 minutes away doesn't hurt either! From a photographer's point of view, it's heaven. The mature trees and winding walkways naturally follow the landscape, creating effortless photo opportunities around every turn. Hilltop views, dreamy light, and gorgeous backdrops? Check, check, and check. Every couple I've worked with here says the same thing: "There are so many beautiful spots for photos--and we didn't even have to walk far!" One of my favorite hidden gems is the underground level--yep, underground! With its dramatic wooden double doors and cozy, wine-cellar vibe, it adds a magical, unexpected twist to the wedding day flow. Couples can enjoy dinner with family upstairs, then head down below for dancing and celebration. Both levels are stunning and so well thought out. The staff? Truly some of the kindest people I've met in the industry. We always end up sharing a laugh or two--they genuinely love what they do, and it shows. Their hospitality adds that extra layer of warmth that makes everyone (vendors and guests alike) feel at home. Villa di Campagna isn't just a venue--it's an experience. And I love seeing how the team continues to pour love and care into making it a space that serves every wedding day beautifully.
