Ordered quite a few tapas dishes; everything was unique and delicious, but the fried artichokes were really good and not like anything I've had before! They make their sangria with red wine or cava; we chose the red wine option, and I can't stop thinking about how refreshing this was to drink. Though they offered paella, we came in strictly for the tapas, so we didn't order a paella dish. The waitstaff were very attentive, and at one point after a rowdy group came in, they apologized for the noise, which we didn't take offense to at all. I'd recommend Encercle for anybody looking for a good tapas restaurant in the Eixample area!

We enjoyed every bite of smoked salmon with avocado and wasabi, mushroom ravioli, stuffed squid, and beef albóndigas. The crisp shoots on the squid and foie gras on the beef were particularly memorable touches. In response to our obvious confusion about wine, our server gave us tastes of three excellent possibilities. My only regret is not having room for dessert. The decor is stylish and the mood romantic. Especially considering the reasonableness of their prices, Ferrum is not to be missed.

Service was very attentive and friendly. we ordered some ceviche and a black paella. The cevice was really good. Paella was tasty, but it was a tad bit oversalted, which killed it for me. When in Europe eat some Italian food, as you are close enough that someone is doing it right. It also breaks up the Spanish tapas for a minute. I made reservations via email in advance prior to my trip. They responded quickly and seamed happy to take them, as they do book up. It was totally worth it, as the Raviolo with mushroom, truffle, Parmesan, cream, and sausage was one of the best things we ate on our entire trip. Don't miss out on it. Papas Bravas - nicely served with two dipping sauces, one a little spicy, and the other a garlic sauce. Meatballs with Mozzarella and Tomato Sauce. This was served almost as a soup, with bread to dip in the sauce, or in our case we balanced the meatballs, cheese, and sauce on it. Cacio e Pepe - nice and cheesy served with fresh pappardelle. I liked the thicker noodles to soak up the tasty sauce. I noticed the table fighting over sharing this one, which is always a good sign. Carbonara - definitely made correctly here with egg yolk, if you are fan of classic carbonara, you'll like theirs. Served with thick fresh spaghetti noodles. Raviolo with Mushroom, Truffle, Parmesan, cream, and sausage. You can put this dish right next to anything you will eat in Spain (including those having Michelin stars) and it will hold its own. It's that good. Please do not miss this dish. If I'm ever back in Barcelona, I will return for this dish and to try other things on the menu.

The first is an excellent place to try some cocktails and tapas in an upscale environment, the other is fit for very important dinners (the prix-fixe options with wine pairing would be a natural choice) . For the entertainment provided for both the eyes and palate the pricing is better than adequate: budget $15-20 for that cocktail and $120 per person for the tasting "Robusto" set with wine.
