After evaluating some other quotes, we decided to go with Alex's company. From that time on, Alex and crew did a fine job. They scheduled a time for the work, arrived on time, and did a superb job fixing our roof and cleaning the gutters. We believe they went above and beyond what they estimated they would do to make our roof water-tight. Once the work was completed, we found one of our gutters was leaking a lot of water after a torrential downpour. I let Alex know, and he immediately sent one of his men back to fix the issue. Overall, Alex Perez's Roofing did a stellar job with our roof. I have one suggestion for the improvement: Alex should improve his post-work processes. When I asked Alex for a receipt of the work, he said yes. But I never got it. So, I had to call his office a few times. The first time, the office manager didn't reply. The second time, she sent the wrong receipt showing just the initial deposit. The third time, she sent the right receipt showing the final zero balance. In sum, we highly recommend Alex Perez's Roofing for their professional work. If it hadn't been for all the times we had to contact them to get the receipt, we would have given them five stars.

The Owner/Contractor David Saruhanov came out to meet me and discuss the project. He offered much more than the other two bids I got and he was very specific of the job they would do. What was most important to me was the warrantees, which he offered 25 year warranty for workmanship, and 50 warranty from GAF for any materials that should not hold up. The other two proposals only offered either a 7 year or 10 year warranty. I had a very good feeling when discussing the project with David that he would deliver what he said. And that is exactly what happened. I would highly recommend anyone needing roof repairs, new roofs, or reroofs, to check out The American Cool Construction Company. ($1,800) Well the worker shows up at 8:00 am and is done before by 9:30 am. I talked to the owner and expected a large reduction in my bill since it was smaller job than anticipated. I was told that he would knock off $200 if I paid him in cash which I did. Not sure how they sleep at night charging such ridiculous prices. The bill also mentions an emergency fee since we have rains coming. I never asked for an emergency trip. The website on home advisor states that they do not offer emergency services! I asked what I should cover it with incase they did not get to the repair right away. Never asked for an emergency repair. He tried to tell me about the cost of running a business and he has five trucks and employees to pay. Not my concern! Totally out of line price of a small repair. Very disappointed! That is not $1,600 worth of work for 1.5 hours. I feel I was charged at least double what I should have been charged.
