Vigårda's not new and I'm not new to Vigårda, but this is their brand new location, and me likey!
I'm not a huge burger fan, but sometimes it does fill a certain craving. And to have a Vigårda this central, right by Central Station, so you can opt for a real quality burger instead of Max or McDonalds, is wonderful.
I went on opening day - hey, they were giving out free burgers! Nothing to attract a Yelper like free food, amIrite?
The burgers they offered were cheddar and bacon - one of my favourites anyways. And it was delicious as expected!
Vigårda also knows how to do fries. They're thicker than those you might get at a fast food joint, less greasy, and have the perfect amount of crunch.
And one of my favourite things about Vigårda is their ketchup! No Hunts or Heinz here, folks. Vingårda's ketchup is REAL. It tastes like ground tomatoes, perhaps a little sundried, with olive oil and pepper. It's thick and you can tell it's made with real produce. None of that smooth, glossy, high-fructose corn syrup goop you get at the grocery store.
The location itself is central, right on Vasagatan literally just a few metres away from the subway entrance. The restaurant is big with plenty of seats and soft chairs, as well as a bar. The staff were all very friendly too.
Vigårda is popular, and it's because they're doing something right. Though I don't eat burgers often, I'm glad that we've got another Vigårda in town! read more
