One of the all-time best smash burgers I've ever had. We came here yesterday late afternoon and enjoyed the original and a Texas burger with classic fries, and everything was fantastic. We ate outside on the covered patio, and even though it was raining and cold, the heaters and enclosures kept us warm and dry. Service was very friendly. You go inside to ask to be seated and get menus, and then you order inside at the bar, and they bring your food out to you. Even the single burgers have tons of meat (I'm glad I didn't order a double), it's seasoned perfectly with a slight kick, the dressing is delicious, the salad is fresh and crisp, they use real cheddar cheese, and the artisan potato buns were perfectly toasted, soft, but held up well. Fries were crispy and delicious. 10/10 would recommend! read more

We didn't have reservations so we sat outside in a glass box with heat radiators, blankets and warm chair covers. Staff was very friendly. Food was great. The pickled onions made my bacon cheeseburger scrumptious. Sweet potato fries were "shoestring" but full of flavor. read more

Came in on a Wednesday around 5 pm. The guy behind the counter gave me the menu and I informed him that I was waiting for a friend. Then I discovered they had Fritz Cola and said "Oh I'm gonna have one of those." He leaned down to pick one out of the fridge and I protested "No, I'll have it later, I'll take it later!" but he wasn't listening. He absent-mindedly opened the bottle and put it in front of me, where I let it stand and lose its fizz and go lukewarm while waiting for my friend. NOT good service. He can't even blame being distracted by other customers because there weren't any. My friend eventually came and we both ordered the Texas style burger with cajun fries (and Fritz Cola of course.) The presentation was great; with the burger in brown wrapping and the fries covered in a thick layer of spice mix, giving off a distinct scent. The fries, however, were spongy on the surface which was not appetizing to the touch or to chew. Maybe it was something in the cajun spice mix that absorbed oil from the fries to form some mushy coating - but whatever it was, it was off-putting. The taste was okay; something to try once. The hamburger was good but not great. All in all, with the many burger joints available in Stockholm now, a place has to try harder than this to get 4-5 stars from me: Better service, better fries, and even better burgers. read more

from an American perspective, the burgers here are good but nothing special - similar to smashburger or shake shack. i got the Miami Heat Burger with a double patty, which was their spicy burger that comes with chiles inside. the burger wasn't overwhelmingly spicy but had a decent kick to it - which was nice. the regular fries are good but pretty standard. the restaurant itself is pretty small and had limited seating so i'd recommend booking ahead of time or you might have to sit at the bar. overall a decent experience - however, i don't think I'd come back the next time I'm in town. read more

Great, tasty burger in a price range close to McDonalds. There is no arguing that it's simply delicious, even though I am lacking a piece of unidentifiable substance that wouldn't allow me to rate it with five stars. The competition in Stockholm is tough and there's a bunch of really good burger places to choose from. I had the Miami burger and will definitely revisit to give the others some justice as well. The fries are crispy & friedx2! The truffle aioli was good but don't think that it actually tasted truffle, will try another dip sauce next time. All in all - well worth a visit! read more

I came to this place after looking for burger joints recommended by fellow yelpers. I'm glad to say that Franky's Burger was excellent, the chef prepares the patties right on the spot according to what you order. It's evident that he takes great pride on his work and food. Due to the presentation of the burger and fries, I would venture to say that these are kind of "gourmet burgers", if such thing exist. I ordered the Franky's Big burger which was juicy, perfectly seasoned and flavorful; the only thing it lacked was one tiny thing: some spicy sauce or jalapeños, that would have been just marvelous, the cherry on the top (I'm sorry I'm Mexican and I always dream of places adding spicy sauces to everything, hehehe). The fries were delicious and the portion was very generous. The place is kind of small, not a place to hang out 10 or more minutes after you are done eating. It's great to grab a quick bite with a couple of friends but there's no privacy at all, meaning that from corner to corner everything can be heard. Verdict: Will I go again? Definitely yes! Will I recommend this place? Of course, even more to burger lovers. What about the price? IMHO, the price you pay for the quality of the burger and the service is adequate. read more

Frankys shelter right in front of Hard Rock is hard to miss, even though most ppl will pass it, thinking its just another hot-dog stand. And that might be the biggest mistake you will do in the never ending search for the perfect burger. Once you get in, there are six burger options and fries on the side if you want to. I went with the Texas burger and fries of course. There isnt very much space inside, so we ordered and got out with the estimation of 15 minutes waiting. If you want to dine in, there are a few spots along the windows, but its probably better to bring it outside if its possible. After 15 minutes of fame, one of the guys came outside with the whole meal in a bag, where burgers was separated in boxes that could be used as a plate wherever. Burger was good, really good... fresh bread with a little bit of resilliance, juicy and flavored patties along with the crispy bacon. The sauce on the side was a nice addition to the crispy fries, and nothing you have to pay extra for. In short: Go here if you dont want any surprises, and want to taste one of the best burgers in Stockholm. read more

I really thought I knew every single hamburger truck or restaurant that was worth knowing anything about. But for some reason Franky's was a restaurant I never had laid eyes on nor even heard about until my friend briefly mentioned it last week. It is right outside Hard Rock Cafe on Sveavägen, I mean how can anyone miss it? Now I know. The sign is a piece of paper on the front door and is not really screaming "Franky's". So unless you know there is a burger joint right there, you will just pass it by thinking it's one of those cheap franchises, like Solna Korvgrill. I enter the door 20.30 and realize he is serving his last customer and that he actually closed at 20. He sees me and says it's alright and that I can order even though he closed. (Bonus star!!) I order the "Franky's Big" menu which consists of a 200g burger which was juicy and really tasty, double fried fries which are probably the best double fried fries in Stockholm, BBQ dip which was a little hot on the side and a soda for only 135kr! The two things I would have liked to change with the burger is to remove the thick tomato and the bun. The bun was good per se but didn't quite balance the burger. Not only was the burger the forth best one I had in Stockholm, but the owner is all for customer service which ranks highly in my book. He is also modest, talkative and cool. I will definitely be back with more friends because this is the kind of restaurant I would like to support. read more

To paraphrase my colleague when I tried to describe the location of Franky's to him: "That place?! I must've walked by there a 100 times. I didn't realize they serve burgers." I don't think anyone does, unless told. You can't tell the name of the place from across the street since the place is lacking any large signs. Quite inconspicuous. What it doesn't lack though, are great burgers. I'm talking 5-star, up there, in my opinion, in the top 5 of burger places in this city along with Svenska Hamburgerköket, Flippin' Burgers and Bun Meat Bun (and others I've yet to try). It's a tiny place and only a few seats outside on the sidewalk. I had the 'Texas' burger and it was super delicious. At first I thought it looked kind of tiny, like I should've sprung for the double paddy, but it was alright. Some 150 sek for the 'Texas' with fries and a bottle of soda. Not cheap, but definitely within the acceptable price range for a burger this good. You can opt out of the fries and soda though. read more

I've had a burger here twice. I just tried the new location and the burger was good but I think the previous location had better burgers. We took takeaway with a friend and my burger was already cold when reaching the destination since it took a long time after I received my burger when my friend received hers. I think the burgers should be made together at the same time if two persons order burgers. The meat was also well done this time where as previously it was medium-rare and a lot better. The new location has a lot of potential but a bit of improvement needed! However the staff was super friendly and nice, points for that! read more

This was the absolute worst burger I have ever had in my life! The meat was under cooked, and very rare! It was also heavily seasoned with an excessive amount of salt. The bread had a very weird taste, and was heavily saturated with oil. The onions were too acidic, and had a pungent vinegar taste. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with having to juggle between taking my order and serving my drink in a timely manner. They don't have wifi, they don't take cash. I complained to the owner about my extreme dissatisfaction, and he indirectly made it seem as it was my fault. My food was cold because they were under staffed, and couldn't manage bringing my food out when it was ready. The coleslaw had hot sauce in it which is totally wrong. The beer was over priced, warm, and far too foamy. Overall, I dont recommend this restaurant at all. Go to flippin burger instead...way better burger, and outstanding level of service in comparison to this junk shop! read more
