This review may be on the longer side, but the bottom line is Charlie and the Vienna Leash team are amazing! We rescued a yellow lab during the pandemic, and added a golden retriever about a year ago. The golden did not come from a good situation and, as an unfortunate result, is terrified of everyone and everything (at least at first). We knew we had a couple of trips coming up that the dogs would not be able to join us on. My brother and sister-in-law, having been clients of Vienna Leash for years, suggested we give Charlie a call. Boy are we happy that we did. Charlie came over no fewer than five times to just spend time with the dogs before our trips - just so they would get used to him and our golden wouldn't be terrified. I honestly don't believe any other dog walking service would have taken the time to do that. It was so greatly appreciated. But it gets better. While our golden did, indeed, give the Vienna Leash team some trouble getting leashed up from time to time (trouble that the team was able to creatively navigate), it was our yellow lab that decided to stage a mini-hunger strike while we were gone. Charlie took it upon himself to run to the store and get additives he thought might help our yellow lab eat while we were away. And it worked! All the while, the Vienna Leash team kept us updated with how the dogs were doing through text messages and videos, etc. Charlie made sure we knew the dogs were ok while we were gone. The Vienna Leash team is simply the best. If you're looking for a team that will care for your dog(s) as if he or she is their own, you've found it! read more

We love Vienna Leash. We have used their walking services for one year and Charlie (the owner) is always communicative and responsive. Vienna Leash walks our dog twice each weekday and they always leave a message to let us know how things went. Their rates are very reasonable, and they never try to nickel and dime you for extra services or during inclement weather. During our time, we have had a few different walkers from Vienna Leash, and each one has taken the time to get to know our dog. We can count on Charlie to be flexible when our weekday plans change, and he is always in touch well in advance of holidays or snowstorms to make sure that his clients' needs are met. Charlie and his walkers have been taking care of our dogs for almost 5 years. When we first started having Vienna Leash come, it was to walk our senior labrador retriever. The notes from the dog walkers made it abundantly clear to us that the walkers knew our dog - they would mentioned little quirks that only real dog people would notice. As our dog's health deteriorated, I really relied on Charlie and crew to let me know how our dog was doing, and I would get not only the daily notes, but texts from Charlie to let me know how our old boy was doing. When our dog passed away, his main walker and Charlie were so comforting - they had a real bond with our dog. Not to mention ... they took him on good walks! With our new dog (now almost 3) Charlie and the walkers worked with our training methods to help us get our dog housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained. They came to the house to go over things with us on more than one occasion to make sure there was consistency in walks. As our kids got older, they would greet the walkers with big smiles. To say we love Vienna Leash is an understatement. The "above and beyond" help we've gotten from Charlie and his team has been so greatly appreciated. Regretfully, I had an unfortunate and disturbing experience with the pet sitter sent to our home. It appears others have had better experiences, but my privacy was invaded, which caused great distress during my vacation! Had it been my employee I would have considered dismissal rather than condoning unacceptable behavior. read more

Vienna Leash is fabulous! They have been walking our 12-year-old Boston terrier, Zoe, on a daily basis for more almost three years, and we continue to be very happy with their reliability and staff and the loving care they give to Zoe. I am occasionally home when the walker arrives, and Zoe is always ecstatic to see him.
