This place was OK for airport food. I snacked on some rolls and had several cocktails. I really wouldn't recommend it but, that being said, there weren't any options to be had. I'd recommend sticking to the alcohol and leave the food for another time. read more

This was definitely the best food option once we passed security at the SJU airport. They have sit-down, waiter service, but it took kind of while to get the food. It was pretty decent for airport food and I would recommend the place over the other options close by. read more

I believe the name of this establishment is Viena Express, not Vienna Restaurant. Simply awful in every way. There are two wait-service dining rooms, one on each side of the self-service counter. Both had patrons waving their arms in the air trying to get service. When I saw this I went to the self-service counter. The woman there was taking only "to-go" orders. If you wanted to sit at a table you had to wait on the (very understaffed) wait staff. I ordered a slice of marguerite pizza and a small Coke. The slice was about one-third the size of a typical NYC slice, and was bone cold. The price for the two was $9.75...outrageous even by island standards. Unfortunately there are not many choices at the SJU airport, and the prices everywhere are out of line. SJU is definitely out to rip off tourists as they leave town. read more

Had the French onion soup which was ok. Also ordered a slice of pizza and a chicken empanada. The slice came out cold and was not good. Asked if they could heat it up and she brought a new slice out. Empanada was pretty good but you can't go too wrong with a flaky puff pastry filled with salty chicken bits. Thought the staff was pretty rude but what can you really expect. As with other reviews, be prepared to overpay and be underwhelmed by the food quality. I ordered a hot dog that I swear tasted like a series of Bologna slices wrapped together and was tiny. I guess the added "value" I get is for burping up this Bologna taste all over again. Also bought a small personal domino's pizza and coke---total price $17. I was so excited to see this at the airport. This is the first franchise of a well-known Brazilian restaurant outside of Brazil. I am from Brazil and this has been a favorite for decades there, both for meals and snacks. Sadly, all they brought was the name and logo, not the food. This restaurant has a menu of banal items to be found in any US cafeteria, and as other reviewers pointed out everything looked like it came out of a frozen box and was microwaved. Dry, sad, mass-produced and tasteless burgers, hot dogs, etc. Even the Domino's brand pizza was worse than usual. There were some edible cold sandwiches (turkey etc) but very dry--ask for extra mayo packets. This is such a missed opportunity. The original Brazilian Viena sells typical Brazilian snacks that are very similar to Puerto Rican food (fried croquettes with assorted fillings, for example, plus cheese bread) and creative, tasty sandwiches and juices, all of which might appeal to the local and traveling public and also make for tasty quick meals. Otherwise I am not sure what the point is of using the brand name. It doesn't add anything to a lackluster restaurant and it does a disservice to the brand. Anyone who knows this from Puerto Rico and goes to Brazil won't want to try the real deal. PS. I regret not having followed the suggestions of buying something in the restaurants outside of the gates, in the departure/check in area--even a sub from Subway would have been better. read more
