I don't know how I missed this store the many times I've been to DeLand over the years, but I have…read moreto say this is hands down my favorite book store in DeLand. It's PACKED full of books! Cliff specializes in horror, sci-fi, mystery, comics, but carries at least something from just about any other genre you can think of. Some of the older more rare books are kept in a thin plastic protectors to preserve them, and are neatly organized onto shelves. Cliff also sells a variety of collectable glassware and toys. It's best to let Cliff know what you are looking for so he can direct you to the right location. I asked him where he keeps music books and he took me right to the spot then informed me that the entire bottom shelf was full of them, but I would need to dig a little since there was three more stacks of music-related books in front of the shelf; I was in heaven, lol! There was a lot to sift through and I didn't even see it all because my wife was pulling me out before I get deep in it. Regardless, I decided on purchasing three music books: Hits of the 90's for $6; Casio Piano sound Music Library Piano Scores for $8; and Guns N' Roses Anthology for Guitar for $15. When I went to check out, I asked Cliff if he could sell me all three for $25 and he said no problem. Then he got distracted with another customer for a minute and came back to me and asked "what was I charging you again," and I replied $25 and started to pull out cash and he said "Lets just make it an even $20," wow, what an awesome guy! Thank you, Cliff! Cliff also hosts big comic events in the DeLand area, so if your interested in those types events I recommend checking out his Instagram or Facebook page since the main website is a bit outdated with all of his happenings. All-in-all, a great book store and I recommend Cliff's if you are a book lover and are in the area shopping. I will be back!

I don't have a lot of vinyls but I would definitely buy some from Steve's if I needed them since the pricing seems fair. They also have great wall banners for sale and plenty of CD's. If you're looking for something specific just ask Steve for help because this store is jam packed full of music. Steve was super friendly and informed me if there was something I specifically wanted he could get it for me. I didn't find anything I wanted on this visit; however, the last two times I was here I purchased a few CDs from his clearance shelf for $1 each without a scratch on them, not bad at all. If you are looking for a new, used, or unique vinyl or just want to burn some time checking out a great record store while shopping in DeLand, then I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

Such a nice couple. The bookstore has a wide selection of new and used books. I purchased seven books and some accessories (plaque with quote), and the total cost was under $50.00. I also purchased multiple study books on my second visit. My wife stopped by and purchased several toys for the grandchildren to keep them occupied. The owners were so helpful in assisting us in making a selection. Bookstores and particularly Christian Bookstores are a dying breed. This establishment seems to be bucking the trend. I could not believe how much the store has expanded over the years, including an annex two doors down that houses thousands of CDs. The amount of inventory here is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. As a music collector, it honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. No matter what genre you enjoy, there is an incredible amount to explore. I was especially excited to find a large selection of leftover Record Store Day titles, including two rare releases that I was thrilled to add to my collection. I also came across many original pressings of 1980s LPs and 12" singles, along with a huge number of CDs in the annex, including several out-of-print titles that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Everywhere I looked, there were hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Atlantic Sounds is the kind of record store where you could easily spend an entire day -- or several days -- browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. I am so glad to see how much they have grown and expanded since my last visit. It remains an absolute paradise for music lovers and collectors.
