From age 11-19 I went to another chiropractor who told me I could never be a runner or do any high impact activities. I was told from age 13-17 that I could not run, so I didn't. I was told I could only swim, otherwise I would further mess up my back and need surgery. I had back pain so bad that I would stay home from school as a child because I could not walk. When I graduated high school I then began having excruciating neck pain that developed into migraines that lasted for days. I came to accept that I was going to have chronic back and neck pain for the rest of my life and there as nothing I could do about it. Since I have been going to Dr. Dan, I can do any form of activity that I desire! I run, bike, lift, paddle, swim, and practice yoga regularly. My back pain has decreased significantly, as has the actual problem (note- my previous chiropractor was treating me wrong, and Dr. Dan diagnosed my back correctly and has been treating me appropriately.) Also, my migraines are practically nonexistent! Dr. Dan takes the time to adjust me according to what my body needs specifically. He is also good at making me crack up while in the midst of an adjustment! I recommend Dr. Dan to anyone and everyone. He has changed my life and allowed me to do things I never thought I would be able to do.

I almost canceled my…read moreappointment because I had a massive migraine, but I decided to go anyway -- and I'm so glad I did. By the time I left, my migraine was completely gone and I was even able to go ride afterward. Dr. Moses took the time to explain things thoroughly and gave me breathing exercises to continue working on at home. I already can't wait for my next appointment. If you've been putting off taking care of yourself, I highly recommend giving chiropractic care a try here. Such a great experience from start to finish!

I'll start off by saying, I don't like chiropractors. I've had some terrible experiences (one…read moreadjustment had left me dizzy and in pain and I told myself I wouldn't go back). Enter low back pain from cooking hundreds of meals a week for years. To preface, I strength train about 2-3 times a week and I walk about an hour daily. For a few months I had been waking up with back pain, and one morning I couldn't move without intense pain. I could tell it was getting worse. My friend referred me to Dr. Ayat. He told me that she was different and she doesn't have to do a normal adjustment if you don't want to. I decided to take the leap and make an appointment. The Care: To me, the care started before the office visit. I received a call the day before from Dr. Ayat about my appointment. Not just to confirm, but also talk about the issues I have had. Normally I get anxious in doctor's appointments, so the call prior allowed me to be comfortable enough to remember more detail. The First Visit: My first visit started with a gentle greeting and a little bit more of confirming why I was there. Dr. Ayat's office is very well lit with lots of windows, a huge improvement from a typical doctors office where you feel like you're stuck into a box. Her demeanor was very calm and acknowledging, and I can tell that she was listening to my concerns. After that we did some movement assessments and photos. She was very thorough in her assessment of my specific issues, which ended up being hip related more than lower back. I can say that for the first time, I didn't have a chiropractor eager to twist and turn me. She used a tiny percussion-like instrument on one area of my lower back, and that was all. No bending, no cracking. Total time at the appointment was about 45 minutes or so and started on time. Subsequent appointments have been about 15-30 minutes and consist of a little bit of therapy: red light, gentle propping, some manual hand adjusting and releases (not a full "adjustment"), and exercise homework was given at the end. If you are in pain and afraid of traditional chiropractors but don't want to go the western medicine route, give Dr. Ayat a try. She has put her life into her work and she will go the extra mile for you.
