I was referred to Sydney by my co-worker. I was skeptical to go back to a chiro because my previous chiro messed me up. But i had a bad stiff neck and needed a quick release. This review is solely based on care quality of a car accident injury case, with extensive medical coverage, PIP allowance, and law representation. I chose Trestles Chiropractic based on reviews and that they offered massage therapy onsite. I mainly worked with Dr. Ghazal, having 8 sessions with her and 2 with Dr. Anderson. My first initial consultation I was told that I would receive 26 sessions, with a combination of 6 massages to help relieve some of the pain and inflammation. After my first massage I experienced swelling and requested not to have my neck cracked, Dr. Ghazal complied. I received a text from the receptionist after my first massage asking if I would like to leave a gratuity. This is part of my rehab so I did not respond thinking my case was an injury case and I was seeking medical relief. After my 2nd massage, I preferred this current therapist because she was very knowledgeable in car accident injuries so I wanted to book my remaining massages with her. Upon leaving, I was asked again if I would like to leave a gratuity. I explained that I had inquired about reimbursement from my attorney and was told monetary expenses might not be covered, only physician and massage therapy would. Two days later I received a call from the receptionist that Dr. Anderson wanted to cancel my upcoming and future massage appts and that I was only going to receive chiropractic care. No other explanation! When I went back in for my next appt, I inquired to Dr. Ghazal and the receptionist and to review my chart to see if there was specific notes pertaining the massages. No specific answer was given to me, only that I needed to speak with Dr. Anderson on this matter. I obtained two other outside chiropractic opinions on gratuity, knowing that this should not have been an issue. Being charged $220. here for a massage therapy is extremely high. I did request my medical statements so I know this is what I was charged. Dr. Anderson did not reach out directly to explain the cancellations, or to review my MRI with me. Do your research first to see what you will charged, and you should not be expected to tip on a medical injury massage. Dr. Anderson, owner of this practice should have been more professional on his decisions. When you tell your patient what treatments to expect, you should discuss with your patients directly if you change your mind or change the course of the treatments! Don't have your receptionist phone to do it! read more

What are the chances of getting back to a basketball league game after straining your back 2 days before? With heavy doses of chiropractic, it's possible!! On a Tuesday, I strained my back from lifting heavy objects most morning hours. I felt severe pain in my lower back and wearing a back brace didn't really help. Had some numbness in my right index fingertip and went to Trestles Chiropractic. The facility is very nice, non-intimidating, kid friendly, and state of the art. Dr. Ryan met with me and did some imaging. My neck was tweaked from a can-am accident and pulling to the left. My c5 and c6 needed some work. After the first adjustment I could already feel relief. I never went to a chiropractic in my life and I'm 66 years old. I injured my shoulder playing pickleball. A friend suggested I see a chiropractor. I honestly did not know what to expect when I visited Dr. Ryan, so I explained to him my hesitation and my concerns as I was very nervous to see a chiropractor, but when you are in pain you will seek out any type of treatment. I am upset with myself that I did not do further research on chiropractor methods as I didn't like the thought of someone "cracking" my neck. Dr. Ryan listened to my concerns, but still proceeded to "crack" my neck. I waited a bit to see him again as I was worried, but I wanted him to know how I felt. He appreciated that I gave him another chance. So I did go back two more times and the second time he did not crack my neck but the third time he did it again. Since then I have SEVERE NECK PAIN and needless to say I have not seen him since. I have visited my primary care physician and they were not happy that I saw a chiropractor, I recently wrote to Dr. Ryan and expressed my concerns that I now have severe neck pain. I was hoping he could make some recommendations, like UNDO what he did to my neck or at least have a personal discussion with me as to what my options are. He responded to my concerns by saying he saw things differently then I did and I did not adhere to his treatment plan. Which was what? Continue cracking my neck? He simply said I should continue with my primary care physician. So he basically screwed up my neck and has dismissed me, so he is not taking any responsibility. How nice is that? NEVER would I ever go back to Dr. Ryan. His response was extremely immature and showed no sympathy for the pain he has caused me. I hold Dr. Ryan fully responsible for my neck pain which I NEVER had before seeing Dr. Ryan. My shoulder injury has since gone away which is what I initially visited Dr. Ryan for. I would have expected a far more professional response from him. I will now have to figure out what further actions I should take unless Dr. Ryan can undo what he did to me, but I doubt he will care. read more
