We want to discover more of Cabo and we found this hotel. We love the exterior and the interior of it. It has a very nice pool and private beach access! Although some roads are dirt roads we still made it in our little car! They have great views of the sea, as well as a wide beach! The pool area is pretty cool! The hotel has a beautiful sunrise and the sky is so pretty for sunset. The hotel is a modern Italian interpretation of a villa in front of the sea so the details are amazing! Inside the rooms, they are decorated with artwork from local artist to support the community which I love! The staff are super friendly and they know the area well! This place is great for relaxing with no other sounds from traffic or too many people in the surrounding areas so it feels very private which is enjoyable.

We went at lunch on a Monday. Nobody was there and we didnt know what to expect but the food was great and the staff was friendly. Stop here if you are out that way. We had shrimp tacos and fish ceviche. It was very good and very fresh.

We had such a wonderful time at Vidasoul this past weekend. My girlfriends and I came per a recommendation from a friend who visited and absolutely loved it, saying it has a wonderful secluded side of the beach. She was right - my friends and I are not about that party resort life and are on team chill and Vidasoul was perfect for us. However, the waves looked a bit choppy so we mostly stayed on the shore. They cleaned the pool when we got there and I had no idea how amazing it was until finally getting in it. It was so naturally warm and my friend and I parked ourselves there all day drinking pina coladas! I cannot say enough about the staff. It was like they were there to make our every need come to life and they were so nice. We were swimming in the pool in the dark when they came and brought us more dry towels and asked us if we wanted anything else. We had booked the two largest rooms in the hotel that face the water and one of them had a broken AC. They did everything they could to fix it and in the meantime gave us two additional rooms so no one had to stay in there in the heat (ultimately, we had four rooms going for the one day/night it took to fit it). The only thing is it is so secluded that if you do want to do anything, you're kind of stuck there. It's a good hour away from anything else and the road is rough so you don't want to drive it in the dark (also, get an SUV, a sedan will get stuck in the sand). We did want to go dancing one night and weren't able to. They had entertainment but it was an awful Mexican band doing American classic covers. Also, food was not very good (but service of the food was amazing)

We did not want the commotion or busyness of Cabo or San Jose but wanted to be by the surf so we stayed at Vida Soul.

I'm so glad we rented a 4x4 with high clearance, as it made the drive out less worrisome. We LOVED the location - breathtaking Pacific views, white sandy beaches - deserted - for days in either direction, donkeys in the road, and miles upon miles of watching the cactus kiss the sea. I'm also glad we sprung for the master room - sliding glass floor-to-ceiling doors opened literally onto the pool and beach, incredible concrete floors and walls with a killer aesthetic complete with metallic skulls that made this goth-at-heart girl feel right at home, and a minimalist approach to everything from decor to ethos. Angel and his crew in the kitchen kept us well fed and kept me well cocktailed from morning til night... delicious ceviche and tacos and guac and salsa - hells yes! I've seen some reviews of people annoyed at the prices and/or lack of availability at times and I'm just like - what on earth is wrong with you? Who hurt you, seriously???? You are in the literal middle of nowhere! The food doesn't magically arrive there, and it sure as hell doesn't get all the way there for free!!! Like one morning, they were out of a lot of stuff for breakfast. Want to guess what we did? We ordered what was available, ate it, loved it, and said thank you! Sheesh people, calm down ok? Anyway, this place is simply perfect... close enough to hit Flora Farms for a meal but far enough away that you forget the bustle of Cabo even exists. Super chill and relaxed vibe, caring and very competent staff, excellent accommodations, kick-ass food and drinks, and the ultimate escape that you know you need. I almost wanted to keep this place all to myself, but I love seeing them doing well so I suppose I'll share my getaway secret with you!

Since my last review of VDF was in 2020, I thought it was time for me to do a quick update…read more In short, read my prior review, it still stands an an accurate representation of our experiences there. We have now stayed at Villa Del Faro 6 times prior to last week - 5 times in Dec or Jan and once in April. Every visit was a wonderful as our first. We have stayed in Casita Dos North, Casita Dos South, Casita Tres, and Azul. We have our favorite, but all are great. While we haven't stayed in the Stone Cottage on the beach, every time we have been there it was occupied and the people in it loved it - except for 1 person who was was scared of a gecko that was walking around in it while her partner loved it. This past week was our first visit in October. And not only was it my wife and I, but we brought the whole family - 11 people total in 5 rooms. There was 1 other person there in 1 of the other rooms on the property. As usual, the people at VDF were wonderful, gracious, and excellent hosts. One word of caution - it is still quite hot in Oct. They originally planned to open Oct 19 (as many places do in Baja), but they opened 4 days early to accommodate us. The rooms do not have AC, but they do have ceiling fans and put in additional fans for us in the rooms. So just be prepared if you come that early in the season. The meals were excellent and the accommodated several dietary issues such as 2 gluten free persons, 1 seafood allergy, and 1 person child who doesn't eat seafood. On our departure day, 9 of us had to leave early for flights (or driving people to flights) and they graciously made wonderful breakfast burritos for the drive. Speaking of the meals, this past January we decided to try a different place on the East Cape about 7 miles south of VDF. It was fine, but we found that we missed VDF and ended up driving there for dinner one night. During this trip we wanted to have a small birthday celebration while there and while 10 of us were off snorkeling in Cabo Pulmo, they worked with the 1 remaining person to set it up, hang the pinata's, set up dinner in a special area, etc. They even made 4 kinds of birthday cake (2 gluten free and 2 regular. As my first first stated, the roads are not for everyone - but they are passable. And the road in from the airport gets graded in mid Oct. So for this trip, since the road from the south along the coast had not been smoothed out yet since storm season, we took the route from SJD. It was pretty smooth for the first 2/3rds and quite interesting for the final 1/3. When we left on Sat, they had clearly progressed a little further. Since we normally come in Dec/Jan, our opinion is that the graded portions on this trip were the best and smoothest roads of all our trips, but the ungraded portions were some of the worst. And as my original review also stated: Paradise found ,,, hopefully not lost. There has been some development along this stretch of coast, but it is still pretty remote and as beautiful as when we first found it for ourselves.

A Hidden Gem on the East Cape - Pure Serenity…read more Our stay at La Valise Cabo was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in serenity -- the kind that instantly slows your pace and resets your perspective. The views are absolutely breathtaking, with the Sea of Cortez stretching endlessly before you. Every sunrise and sunset felt like a private showing. The accommodations were beautifully curated -- refined yet relaxed, luxurious yet perfectly in harmony with the natural surroundings. Every detail felt intentional and elevated. What truly set this experience apart was the attentive, personalized service. The team anticipated needs before we even voiced them, striking that perfect balance between presence and privacy. This stay was actually a surprise for my wife. She assumed we'd be spending all nine nights in Cabo as we usually do -- and she immediately grew suspicious when we turned left instead of right leaving the airport! Those first three nights at this hidden gem on the East Cape made the entire trip unforgettable. It's wonderfully off the beaten path -- peaceful, authentic, and deeply welcoming. We'll absolutely be returning on future trips. If you're looking for tranquility, extraordinary views, and thoughtful hospitality, this is the place.

The resort has a very quiet, private feel to it, despite being nearly fully booked. We used plenty of the amenities with our group, including the gym, meeting areas, golf course, and dining options. Everything made for a great stay for our active group, but we had plenty of opportunities to relax on site. The spa is next level. Several from our group booked massages and said it was the best they've ever had. The rest of us just enjoyed the included spa area with sauna, steam room, cold plunge, hot tub, and pools. It was such a cool environment to unwind and socialize (private areas separated by gender). I have to give a special shoutout to Samantha, one of the staff members here. She was one of the first I met on site. From the beginning, she was friendly, attentive, and constantly looking for ways to make us more comfortable and improve our experience. A couple examples: we saw on the agenda that there was some pickleball play (with instruction) scheduled. When we showed up to the court, we couldn't find the instructor. Samantha was nearby, and quickly tracked down the right person to contact and had the instructor there very quickly! Another example was when I was looking to swim laps in their amazing lap pool. I wanted to track the workout, but wasn't sure about the exact length of the pool. I asked Samantha, and she wasn't sure, so she disappeared for a couple minutes before returning to confirm the official length (25 meters). These are small examples, but they indicate a higher level of service the Four Seasons upholds across the property and team. Thanks for the amazing stay, and we hope to be back again soon!

Coming to the stay, we stayed once at the upper floor and once with a plunge pool. It was comfortable and the room service was pretty good. Definitely on the pricy end but definitely recommend the splurge for sone celebration and much needed break from the monotony of everyday hustle.
