Todos Santos is a gem and a great, up and coming alternative to the touristy nature of Cabo. Hotel San Cristobal is a perfect boutique getaway for a more authentic experience in Mexico. Not too frequently. Amy, the property manager is the true gem here. She solved every issue promptly (not that there were many, just a couple) and was incredibly pleasant and helpful. She had some good suggestions for dining and activities too. Elvia the housekeeper was also fantastic! The A/C was cold and very nice on hot days. I understand it could happen, but it was on both beddings. We went to fix it at night and the night manager couldn't help us. We managed to fall asleep and due to the current predicament (COVID), we are in healthcare, and how everything happened, we decide to check out promptly in the morning and find a safer place to stay. We talked to the morning manager who still wasn't helpful. He told us we had to go through booking.com - even though we had paid in full upon arrive. Even with the conditions of the room, we got no flexibility in cancelling. Honestly we were so upset, we checked out and just wanted to get a fresh start for our vacation. Unfortunately we lost a lot of money and vacation time on this hotel. It wasn't safe (health wise) nor clean. I trust travel reviews and I'm upset this happened. Our room was literally right under the Hilton sign on the sixth floor. We had a great view of the whole property from our balcony. It's worth it because the buffet is around $40/person. The property is very nice and well maintained. They have a hot tub, infinity hot tub, an adult infinity pool, and a massive pool right in the center. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great. Everything was really good and it tasted authentic. I opted for the Cook to order omelettes or eggs and chilaquiles. The avocado toast was amazing. They have a Rotating item where a cook prepares it for you on the spot. You must get the nachos by the pool. They're great for two people and they were so good. They have a total of three restaurants which we ate at two of them because we really enjoyed the Italian, called Velas. They had live music the nights we went. We also went to Lena on taco Tuesday, which was their Tacos and Margarita Night. The beach is beautiful, very walkable. There is a lifeguard on duty. Beautiful sunsets.
