That being said, it is part of Dallas history and still attracts a good amount of out-of-towners for special events. The Bodies exhibit is interesting (although not for the squeamish) and I imagine Landry's and the other restaurants still do a decent job. However, we didn't like those dudes trying to sell us roses while walking the street. No means NO.

Things to know: ~ More parking in the back. ~ If it after dark you can have security walk you out to your car. ~ Great location. ~ Stop light at exit point to help you get in or out. ~ Parking is at angles with plenty of room. ~ Number of different fun shops with great taste! ~ A well diverse set of shops! Fun shops from eating, haircuts, shoe shines, or even a great shirts on hand!

I see that my last review was from 2017 so it is time for an update. We went to the Galleria in…read moreAugust 2026 and it had been a long time since we were at this mall, about seven years. This time, we stayed at a nearby hotel and walked into the Galleria so we did not have to deal with traffic and parking. The last time we were here, our impression was that the mall was mainly upscale, expensive stores. In 2026, there are a lot more moderately priced stores that are intended not to be so exclusive. After walking around for a while, our main activity was for the kid to do ice skating. It is basically $20 for unlimited skating, although it has to be continuous. You can't leave and come back. The price includes skates but you have to buy socks if you did not bring any. She was not very good at skating to begin but got better and better as time went on. We were there about 1.5 hours and that was enough. The activity seems to be attractive for kids, teens, and even adults. There were even a few people who seemed professional level. The kid begged us to do skating again the next day so she obviously enjoyed it.

We initially thought the parking was outside Westin Galleria, but figured out that there were parking on the other side for the mall... good thing is the parking is free.. There's also a huge hotel right within the mall... there was also a skating rink, but in the mall and lots of them are enjoying their skates.. Name the brand and you have it here.. lots and lots and lots of shopping to do. Also Starbucks, juice, shops, and other places to eat within this mall. There was some work going on with escalators and had to walk around for other options... great location and convenient for anyone visiting Dallas.. slightly pricey with most shops.. worth the walk and time well spent here.. 4 stars ..

So much has changed, but a great deal has stayed the same. The atmosphere nice pleasant and the plaza has unique places to shop and dine. Sur la Table is here, Starbucks, Soma intimates, Shake Shack, Sephora, Pure Bare, Omaha Steaks and a lot more. I love the Pegasus that greets you on your way in! Used to be a nice center to grab lunch or dinner at. Now, for zero reason, they've turned every…read moreparking spot remotely near a restaurant into 15 minute spots. How many of those do you need? I could understand maybe three of them, but there are somewhere close to 20-25 spots that I used to be able to use that are now unusable and sit empty. They now force you to park in a parking garage, even when it's completely dead in the center and the restaurants are basically completely empty. They've gone so nuts as to even have closer spots in the parking garage to now be 15 minute parking spots. They've also converted the Trader Joe's parking lot, which used to be half reserved for TJ's near the store and half open to restaurant parking on the other side of the lot, into 100% Trader Joe's parking. They continue to open up new restaurants here, a number of which have closed and a number of others that struggle to stay busy, and a lot of the problems have been due to people not being able to easily park anywhere near the restaurants. The ownership of this center must be nuts. Can't tell you the number of people I know who no longer go anywhere in here for lunch or dinner, because parking has become so inconvenient.
