During the week or daytime is probably your best bet to come out here to explore. Plus there's a huge free parking garage on the side that works out great if you're out there on a Saturday night seeing as the whole area is a nightmare to park on the weekends.

That being said, it is part of Dallas history and still attracts a good amount of out-of-towners for special events. The Bodies exhibit is interesting (although not for the squeamish) and I imagine Landry's and the other restaurants still do a decent job. The interior of the building is an open concept that flows down to a fountain area. The first floor is open to the public with a cafe and Starbucks. You will need to register as a buyer or be a guest of a showroom. The layout is nicely done. Each floor has a theme such as a jewelry, kids, women fashion, shoes etc. All the showroom staff and owners are friendly. Some of the showrooms even offer samples to take back to your own store. Unfortunately, the pandemic did take a toll on this place and you will see a lot of empty showrooms. I'm hoping 2022 will see all the showrooms come back to it's former glory. Do yourself a favor and check out the Events Calendar on the DMC website and come out for some fun!

I like that you can park and ride! Love the central location of it and the walking distance between SMU Campus. Definitely a must visit if you are able to. We used to swing by the Angelica Theater and also attended a lot of comedy shows back in the day. The Palomar Hotel a Ross the street is no longer a hotel it is now a high rise residential living place.

Mockingbird Station is a very fancy mini outdoor mall that will remind you a little bit of the domain in Austin. It's in North Dallas right off the highway in a very Prime area. It doesn't matter that there are three or four other major malls including the Galleria and Northpark within a couple of miles of here. Because this mall still gets massive traffic, and parking on one of the street spots which are metered quite expensively is still difficult. The VS store here is small and claustrophobic but has plenty of good stuff, and the Bath & Body store is nice with great employees as well. All in all Mockingbird is a great little Mall and Barbie made it look even better. Just don't make fun of any avian creatures while you're shopping here. It's not nice to go around Mockingbirds.
