When I first came in I was suffering from severe pain and would have spells where I couldn't even walk, I would just collapse in pain. I was pregnant and could not get X-rays however Dr. Merrill is very knowledgeable and good at his job and was able to help me manage my pain till I was able to get X-rays later on down the road. I remember being so surprised because I didn't even have to tell Dr. Merrill where my pain was, after some poking and prodding in a quick assessment of my back he was able to tell me what I was feeling and why, which is very impressive to me considering most doctors you have to SPELL IT OUT and play charades for them to even be relatively close to helping you figure out your problem.By the time you have finally gotten them to understand you mine as well just have done some research on the internet, fixed your own problem and saved yourself a trillion dollars. I have been many places in my life where it's like going to the mechanic, you go in with one problem and leave with three! At Dr. Merrill's office this is not the case, he is very well informed and truly helps you recover long term. His wife, Kathy, does an amazing job with message therapy as well, between the two of them I could not be more thankful for finding this place! I'm so glad I did not take heed to the bad reviews, I've seen and read them and almost didn't go to Dr.Merrill's office at first, I only gave it a try because people I know and trust said he was great. I personally conclude those reviews were written in immaturity, it would seem as though they might have been expecting care to be free? Also they seemed very emotional and not performance based. When I lifted my leg to put my shoe on, I could actually put my foot on top of the other knee to tie my shoe....pain free!!! I told her I wanted to compare it with a less expensive mouth guard product I had purchased from another dentist. While she was describing their product she started to speak in a smart aleck tone. I told her that she was not be very professional speaking like that. Her response was telling me that I should just buy the mouth guard from the other dentist and then hung up.

He and his staff have been great, even helping sort out some weirdness with insurance sending checks to me instead of to them. One review of one star here is not a basis whereby anyone makes a decision. Grace Dental has a five star average with over 600 reviews over on Google. That's the real story, not a review that frankly, I find suspect in its description. There has to be some other thing going on there. (She even says she had been going to Dr. Thomas for years.) However, the inconsistency (if there was any) was in the notes taken on an iPad by staff persons. I was humiliated, insulted, and refused treatment until I brought someone with me to an appointment to "have an extra set of ears to listen." In retrospect I think the NP prescribed the wrong treatment because for sure my condition has continued to get worse. I had no intention of making an accusation but when Dr. Reaves was rude and spoke harshly and unkindly, supporting the issue of inconsistent information, I became convinced they were covering up something. I will never go back nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

I really appreciated the front desk person getting us in in under four hours for a one time visit. The girls in the back who took symptoms down and some vitals were super sweet. Once in the room, we only waited for about 15 minutes before the Dr. Mitoraj came in. He washed his hands thoroughly and started checking all the usual suspects: ears, throat, lungs and nose. After, as Dr.Mitoraj was walking out, he mentioned that they'd be back in for a "nose blowing." When an assistant returned, the sample was taken and another assistant returned a few minutes later stating that there was an infection and asked which antibiotics we preferred. We never saw the doctor again after he sent the assistant in. There was no follow up from the doctor after the sample was taken, only the assistant came back in to talk to us. I found that odd and kind of rude. Dr. Mitoraj was nice enough. The assistants in the back were awesome. Although I prefer a closing of the loop, it was a good enough trip to the doctor for a looky loo and antibiotic script.
