When I first did my research on Reel's Auto, I was a bit skeptical since the vast majority of…read morereviews were 5-stars and I figured there was a possibility that this dealer could have bought fake reviews or paid to have negative reviews removed. I can confidently say that after visiting the Chardon branch yesterday, I have full faith that every single 5-star review is well-deserved and accurate. I visited Reel's Auto to purchase a 2016 Ford F-150 from Micheal Ostello. He was more than gracious to me and my wife, answering any questions I had about the truck. He allowed me to take the truck for a few hours up to a Ford dealership so I could pay for my own inspection. When I came back and made a reasonable offer, Micheal and Dan did not hesitate to accept it and start the paperwork process to get me approved for a loan. Before I left, Micheal made sure to fill up the gas tank (about $100 in value) and program a second key fob for me (another $400 in value). I could not ask for better treatment from a dealership, going above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. My favorite part of visiting this dealership is that it is owned and operated by veterans who genuinely care about and give back to the community. Everyone who works here are down-to-earth and more than willing to sit down and just have a normal conversation about anything as opposed to the stereotypical auto salesman who simply wants to buy and sell at a profit. From my experience, this organization is one of the most genuine businesses I have ever had the pleasure to work with, and will most definitely be coming back for any future vehicle needs and recommending them to anyone else.

I had a very disappointing experience trying to schedule a service appointment at this dealership…read more Since this location is much more convenient for me, and we've had previous vehicles serviced here, I wanted to start bringing my truck here instead. Instead of helping me, I was told I needed to continue using the dealership where I purchased the vehicle because they would know what services had been performed and what parts had been used. That explanation made no sense, especially since both dealerships are GM dealerships and service records are generally accessible within the GM network. After asking for further clarification, I was told there is nothing more they can do. I felt completely dismissed and pushed away.

So a car driving in front of me on the road suddenly lost a giant chunk of his bumper. Initially I…read morethought it was going to hit my windshield- it landed in the road in front of my poor little car. Because of oncoming traffic, I could not swerve, or because of the car behind me- stop safely. I hit it and heard the crunching tearing sound. Mercifully, the car behind me stopped. I had to back out to get this giant chunk out of the bottom of my car. In the moment I should've pulled over, but I asked Siri for the closest repair shop. This was Steve and Jerry's. At this point I prayed for help. I was petrified. I spoke to a sweet woman who said she was going to go chat with her son in law. My car died a minute from their shop. He chatted with me briefly and said he would be right over. He walked over in the rain. As he looked- his expression was grim. It seems this chunk tore the radiator and compressor, and he wasn't sure about the engine. The cars check engine light was on. My tow driver towed it over. He had a longer look and came in to chat with me. This was pretty massive. He felt it needed to go to the dealer, and told me to file an insurance claim. I started the process in the waiting area and soon I had a plan in place. Not only did the technician offer to drive me back to my home (I had a friend coming), but his mom in law kept the store open until my friend arrived, keeping me warm instead of standing out in the cold. I did request to pay for the detailed assessment, and I did so. Can you say over and above? I don't know many places that would do this. Even though the damage was beyond their means (because it was pretty catastrophic needing a dealer's help), they still made sure I wasn't left literally out in the cold. I can just imagine how their regular customers are treated, I was new to them! The office Goddess informed me they'd been around for 54 years. I can certainly see why. Her husband took great pride in his service (he's been departed a decade or so) and the business remains in their family. What great, kind people I ran into today. I would recommend this business wholeheartedly. On a cold, rainy, horribly gone wrong and not so funny April Fool's Day- I met a couple angels that gave me hope. Thank you both of you for your help, and especially your kindness. I am deeply grateful.

He took a loan from the credit union for the rest. We informed them that he was 18 and we really wanted to make sure he got something reliable that he wouldn't be dumping money into right away and Dave told us he just had it in the shop mechanic replaced a few things and engine ran great only thing needed would be back tires everything else was great. So we took his word for that. 4 days into owning this car it lost complete power while our son was driving it and brakes quit working and luckily he was able to veer off the road before he went head on into a main road. We had it towed and Dave had mechanic look at it said he was puzzled but replaced a crack shaft sensor and charged us a 100 bucks and said they did this out of "goodwill" because we bought the car "as is". Dave said he isn't even telling Chuck he did this because he wouldn't allow it. Well 2 days later same problem so my husband looks under the hood and the battery terminals were completely loose which leads us to believe did they even look under the hood or just take us for 100 bucks. Fast forward 5 days. The engine completely BLOWS UP. We call Dave and Chuck say sorry nothing we can do you bought as is. Now reading through this company reviews this is not the first time they have done this to people. And they will comment on this " you signed as is" "you didn't purchase the extended warranty" - he did purchase an extended warranty 2 days after the purchase of buying the car because their warranty didn't cover nearly as much as we like we have a company we use and we like a lot but you can't use it until you hit 30 days of purchasing it. Also when you buy as is especially on something that is 7000 dollars you are hoping to get more than 15 days out of it!!! And those 15 days not having issues!!! So save yourself the comments Dave and Chuck. I am not sure how you guys can live with yourselves knowing you basically stole from a poor 18 year old kid starting out in life but hey more power to ya I guess.
