She came back and claimed that she spoke with the insurance rep who said I was not covered. I gave her my card (this was not my first visit and insurance had been handled correctly in the past) which she took and finally came back to tell me that I actually do have the insurance that I had thought. I could have been okay with this had she bothered to wear a mask, but she didn't. I saw several other staff members either not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly. As an older person, this made me extremely uncomfortable. Also, the dental hygienist was loudly talking about her issues with the dentist during the entire procedure, which was not only incredibly annoying, but unprofessional. The dentist seems fine.

They talked me through each step of the process, made sure I was comfortable, and even held my hand when I needed extra reassurance. The process was quick and simple but their compassion is what I am so thankful for. I was very nervous at first to get braces. As an adult I was afraid of not only the pain associated…read morewith having them but the feeling of awkwardness. All of the staff members took the time to reassure me and to make me as comfortable as possible during the whole process. They walked me through proper care and gave me tips to keep my smile white while I had them on. I was never a fan of how my teeth looked. I hated smiling in pictures because I had a huge gap between my front teeth and horrible crowding on the bottom. I felt like people noticed my teeth before they actually noticed me. I'm so glad I chose Parks Orthodontics because now I have beautiful straight teeth and the confidence to go with them. I can finally smile in my pictures! What I loved the most though was how friendly all the staff members are. Jessica and Ellen are both great and love to hear how you're doing. They take an interest in you and really show you that they care. When I got my braces off I opted for the Invisalign retainers so that I could whiten my teeth. They had to send the molds off and they said it could take a week for them to come back. The retainers came in before my next appointment and Ellen really went the extra mile to deliver them to me while I was at work. It really made my day to know that she cared about me and my smile. I went to other offices for consultation before I chose Parks and they all treated you like another number. Some of them even wanted to pull teeth! I am not sure where the disconnect is but 1- they do not communicate well if you are a former customers. 2- they charge you for service upfront and you pay out of pocket for the service before they file with the insurance. That is my issue that state they have sent it over. I have checked my insruance account and the info is not there. I emailed last week asking for my documents electronically by the end of day and got nothing. I then called and left a message the following day. Asking they send it over. They haven't. I spent 4500 on 1 tooth to be repaired. Now I am in lost between the paper trail of where I get my reimbursement. I have tried not to place blame on them but this is ridiculous. I will not recommend their service as a former patient. Current patient teated extremely well, as a former who wanted to use them again. I will not and I will not recommend them. If you are looking for a bio-dental be prepared to pay up front and possible have insurance issues if you deal with them and be out of money. This has been on going since 28 Aug and it's now Dec 7.
