It was 89 degrees in our house and we were thinking of getting a hotel. Thank goodness Will contacted us! Not only was it refreshing to hear from a 'real' person and not an AI bot, Will had already diagnosed the problem before he even arrived! He communicated with us perfectly and had it up and running within a short time - on a Sunday! We went from hopeless to super cool and we are so thankful. We will happily hire Will to replace our old thermostat and also do regular maintenance on our unit, which we had been neglecting. It's so nice to find an honest, hardworking, and smart technician, we are grateful.

1 star ( because it doesn't allow to go to zero)…read more I try not to leave negative reviews, but I feel other customers should be aware of my experience. I contacted Marathon specifically for a water softener repair estimate. In the text conversation before the appointment, I was told there would be no charge for the diagnosis during regular hours and that the technician would inspect the system and provide repair options with upfront pricing. When the technician arrived, I was not home. My wife was there, and she agreed to a $209 diagnostic charge, believing that I had already discussed and approved it. I accept that she agreed to the charge in my absence, but what bothers me is that this fee was never disclosed to me in the prior text conversation, despite my specifically asking for a repair estimate. The technician was at the property for only about 15 minutes, and I was charged $209. Instead of providing the repair estimate I had requested, I was mainly presented with replacement options, with the lowest quote being approximately $12,000. My concern is not that a company charges for its time. Businesses are entitled to charge diagnostic and service fees. My concern is transparency. If a $209 diagnostic fee applies, that should be clearly disclosed when the appointment is scheduled--especially when the written conversation specifically says there is no diagnostic charge. I contacted the company afterward and explained my concern. They said management would follow up, so I will update this review if the matter is handled appropriately. For me, the combination of the undisclosed diagnostic fee, the very short visit, and the extremely high replacement quote left me with a poor impression. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company without first getting all diagnostic charges, service fees, and expected costs in writing before allowing a technician to begin work.

Well, that's how Junk Removal Service made me feel. I had a shed that had to be removed, along with the junk inside. I didn't know how anybody was going to be able to do it, because it was in a side yard, with a fence at either end. I called Daysha because she advertised in the Claremont Courier. She came out, took one look, and told me she could just take the shed apart. The estimate she gave me was more than fair -- much less than a big business like 1-800-GOT-JUNK would have charged. She came out the next day. She was quick and efficient. Her work was neat and clean. (She even brought my trash can in off the street for me, which wasn't part of the job.) Her communication was excellent. I enthusiastically recommend Junk Removal Service. If I ever need junk removal again, I'll call them in a heartbeat.
