Victorty brewing came highly recommend from a friend so I felt it was my duty to check it out as a brewery fan and someone from the land of AMAZING brewpubs. Victory has A TON of beers, and big alcohol beers to boot. I have to say, the beer list was overwhelming with no prices attached and very little description. Pair that with a server who was either uneducated about thier offerings, or uninterested and you are playing beer roulette but with admittedly bettet odds. I do have to give props, of the six beers randomly chosen at our table based on name alone all were liked except one and the manager made up for the lack luster customer service. I love this place so much. The beer is awesome (and they usually have a ton of options on tap) and the people who pour it and bring it to you are friendly and efficient. The place is huge, so even when the parking lot is insanely packed and it feels like you have to walk forever to get into the place, there are always seats. (To be fair, we always go right after work...) The menu has lots of different things to choose from and everything I've had tastes great - especially the thrice fries and the pizzas! PS. Great time at Victory! I've never been here and always wanted to try it. The hosts, our server, and the man working in the gift shop were friendly. We got a flight of beer for the table. My favorite was the blood orange IPA. I got the smokehouse burger which was good, I just didn't taste the chipotle sauce at all that was advertised on it. My dining companions liked their burgers and the Reuben. I wish the menu was bigger and that they had a better dessert selection. After lunch, we went to the gift shop and bought a case of root beer (which is delicious by the way - I didn't even know they made root beer until I saw it in the gift shop), and I got a t shirt. They have the nicest growler around that you can buy at the bar. It has a nice sturdy metal handle and a ceramic lid that keeps the beer fresh. Went to Victory Brewery last weekend...had the Victory burger, loaded fries and nachos. I can't begin to tell you how delicious everything was..I think it was the best burger I have ever had and I've had many .the burger was cooked perfectly and the flavors were excellent. The loaded fries same thing delicious and the nachos weren't your typical that you usually get with chopped tomatoes and sour cream again everything delicious. Service was great also I knew it was going to be a good experience when the waitress told us everything was cooked fresh and nothing is frozen. I met up with a few friends at Victory to try try out some of their beer. I really like the place! It's in an old industrial/manufacturing building, and you have to be on your toes to find the entrance. Once you do, you're in for a treat. The brewery/restaurant is large and spcacious, and can easily accomodate large groups. The beer is excellent and made on site. The food is pub style, but there are lots of good options, I chose the turkey reuben (I always thought they were call Rachel's though...). The turkey was a little dry, but the excellent beer made up for it. Definitely get the dessert! Victory has a few homemade ice creams made from their beer creations. I got a bowl of their Strom King Stout ice cream. Storm King Crunch, it was chocolate ice cream made with the wort from Storm King Stout, with chocolate malted milk balls...Heaven! I went to the Victory Brewery for a birthday party, and I had such a great time! There is a large restaurant area where families can grab some comfort food (wings, pizza, burgers) and the adults can drink some of the speciality brews. A large and beautiful wood bar lines the entire back of the brewery...you can watch a game on the weekend with some friends. Given the high ceilings, the noise level in the bar area was quite low. The party I attended was in a big private room just off the bar, which included a pool table. We ate some of the nachos (good), pizza (very good), and chicken wings. And we tried three of the many beers...the Hop Devil was my favorite. It wasn't too dark or heavy and it had a nice refreshing taste. You can even tour the brewery if you have some time. I wish I'd gotten the chance to sneak away and look at how the beer is made. Maybe next time! read more

Beer beer beer. I love beer. Especially when a large group orders a 9-drink flight and puts the rather large sampling glasses on the rim of a lazy Susan. If you have a big crowd, try to get the circular table underneath the lopped off top of a copper where beer is brewed. The acoustics are fun to play around with. I'm not exactly a beer connoisseur, but I do know that most of their selection is pretty tasty. My new favorite: Storm King mixed with...something. I'll update once I remember it, but that alone should say that I've had good times there. Yeah I like this place. Not much of a great first impression. When I first walked in I thought it had a cafeteria type feel to the place....very large, not cozy...college sports bar type. I almost expected to stick to the floor like college days...But, the place grew on me by the time I left. Menu had great choices and lunch specials sounded good too. I opted for the Carolina pork sandwich special and a side salad. My friend ordered the steak and cheese sub. Everything was pretty good. My pork sandwich got a bit soggy and I had to get another plate to take it out of the pool of juices it sat in...otherwise it would have been a soggy mess. I rescued it just in time! I love this place and am not even a serious beer drinker...I pretty much like a few beers and stick with them...Victory doesn't even make any of them, but they do have a lovely variety for people that do enjoy beer. I also like their root beer, give that a shot if you are a fan... I enjoy the open atmosphere, the people walking around with growlers, the open view into the kitchen...and the food here...service can go either way depending on who your server is and how crowded it is...they do tend to fill up on weekends... My favorites here include the pizza...you can build your own or try their offerings...the wings, and the wedge salad...which unlike most wedge salads comes with a nice piece of flank steak...I'm glad this place isn't around the corner from me or I'd be there a bit too often! Can be hard to find as its in an industrial park and appears to be in a run down factory...but step inside and you will be pleasantly surprised! read more

This place is huge. One of the biggest bars or breweries I've ever seen. They have over 30 varieties of beer on tap, which is crazy! It also means you can't experience everything in one visit, but that's okay because I fully intend on coming back. The bar area also does something I've never seen and which more places should do, though most likely can't do it due to space restrictions: they have a counter at the end of the bar where you wait in line to get your beer, which is so much more relaxing and efficient than just standing behind people at a crowded bar. As for the beer, I was a bit hungover from the previous night so I took it easy and started off with the Braumeister Pils and it was hands down, the best pilsener I've ever had. I'm not much of a fan of pilsener's so I'd like to think this is saying something. I also had the Hop Ranch which was a great IPA. Not quite as good as the DirtWolf, but they do not bottle the Hop Ranch and DirtWolf is pretty easily found in my area. If I'm taking a 2.5 hour drive, I'm coming for the exclusives! The food was phenomenal. There were a decent amount of options as a vegetarian, which is a major plus for me. I had a pulled portobello mushroom burger. Yum. There wasn't many options for my vegan girlfriend (step it up Pennsylvania!) but what she did eat was great. The presentation was wonderful and the quality matched it. I was very impressed with this aspect of my experience. I unfortunately couldn't attend a brewery tour, but the merch store was pretty awe-inspiring itself. They had a huge variety of merchandise. One other thing of note is that unless you have no shame, I'd feel quite uncomfortable going number 2 in the bathroom near the bar. There's literally an inch and a half of space you can see between when walking to the sink. Literally enough space to see one's full body-frame. The bathroom by the merch store is considerably better, but I still think I'd need to have quite a few in me for bombs away. read more

I've always been a fan of craft beers but aside from the GABF (Great American Beer Festival) I haven't done much beer tourism. Jumping at the opportunity to travel for work I was especially pleased to find such a large brewery near by our training site! After scouring their website for days it seemed to find what I wanted to taste and a quick trip to the gym, we made our way to the brewery. Word of caution, if you follow Google Maps' directions it take you to the backside of the building. Upon entry into the brewpub I noticed that the space is very tall and prone to echoing noise from the crowd that's there. Not a big deal, but not an ideal situation for a private or intimate experience. If you've come here for that anyways... you've just done wrong. Starting with the food; admittedly we went light. Starting with a side salad and the baked onion soup. They were a great proportion and tasted just as good. For the main course we shared the rib sticks in a bowl. We had the half bowl dry rubbed with the sauce on the side. It's about the same amount as a half rack, but pre-cut instead. They were tender and pretty well done, the sauce was ok nothing special about it stood out to me. The rub was great and I would have been just as happy having the ribs without the sauce. Now onto the important stuff! Since Victory is so large and in CA we can get most of their regular stock, I chose to look for their Seasonals and special releases. I started with their Bavarian Spalt Select IPA: For an IPA I found that it wasn't as hoppy as I would normally prefer, but it had a very smooth taste and went down nicely. Overall it was a rounded beer, and I don't think it would be too harsh for non-IPA fans (which I do not condone of...) For the second round, I still wanted to explore without committing to full pint so I asked for a flight, which was not on the menu but very glad to hear that they do offer. So for my flight of 5: Hop Devil - Their signature drink, I was impressed with the amber color. The hoppiness is light but it has a very nice crisp beginning. St. Boisterous - One of their seasonals, I was pleased to see it was available. The initial aroma reminds of me of a pilsner. It has a little bit of a tang to the flavor maybe some citrus or apple in there. Saison du BUFF - a collaborative beer with Stone's (San Diego, CA) and Dog Fish Head (Delaware) I found this one to have a great aroma that caught me off in the beginning. I couldn't nail it down, perhaps lavender, coriander or it was suggested banana(?). Anyways it had a sweet citrus flavor and you could definitely tell Stone's was involved with the hoppiness. Summer Love - This seasonal I found to be the most disappointing of the flight. It lacked any real aroma and any distinguishing flavor. Reminded me of a light beer... kinda sad. Bavarian Mandarin - This one time release was my favorite of the flight. The deep golden color and great aroma caught my attention immediately. The flavor was smooth and it was a great way to end the evening. All in all, this was a fine experience. Nothing terrible but nothing popped to mind. The service was very friendly but that should be expected these days. I do have to admit that after all that the bill was surprisingly low, so it was a good night. Victory Brewery, little did I know that there brewery was in PA. On our first night in PA we stopped in here for dinner with a large party, even though we had made reservations a week out we still ended up waiting a short time up front. The brewery was clean and busy; this was a popular place to eat on a Friday night, though comments from the locals, this place is hopping all week long. The brewery had about a dozen flavors on tap, and about four that were hand pumped. I tried Hop Devil, and Storm King, two beers I've previously had in Texas. However fresh beer makes a big difference. I knew after the storm king I wasn't going to be driving home. Ha-ha On to the food we ordered pretzels and eggplant fries. Both were very good and had a lot of flavor, the spicy mustard that accompanied the pretzel was great, the eggplant fries were fantastic, I've never had that before. For my main course I ordered the fish and chips plate. It was alright the fish appeared to have stayed in the fryer a bit to long, it was on the border of being burnt but still had some flavor. Portions were medium but seemed a bit small for the price. The staff on hand was very nice and helpful. No complaints about that. I would definitely come back here, since I didn't make it to the merchandise store, but also because I love their beer. I would recommend trying the eggplant fries also. They also sell growlers of their brew, but I couldn't think of a story to tell TSA that would maybe let me take it home on the plane. Beats Chipotle and Olive Garden! Passed by while visiting a client. It's a little hard to find and definitely off the beaten path. I'm from Washington (State - not d.c.) where we have a long list of local breweries. Try Pyramid, Widmere, Georgetown, Red Hook to name just a few. This place is HUGE. Has the touristy feel and okay service. I tried the seasonal Summer Love - yum. Light, easy to drink. Overall, worth trying. I had the local Chester County cheese plate and the grilled cheese w/tomato bisque soup. The server described the cheeses just as they were. It came with sausages but I don't eat meat and ordered without. So, needless to say the mustard with my goat cheese was weird. The bread that came out was too salty/ The grilled cheese was good and the tomato bisque thick and goodness. Perfect for dunking the sandwich. I realized I ordered too much cheese though. I'll have to come back to try the black bean nachos and headwaters pale ale!! Overall, definitely worth the stop. Service is what you'd expect from college kids greeting and serving. read more

This was my second visit to the brewery and I was looking forward to trying some beers that I hadn't had before. Unfortunately for me they didn't have anything that wasn't available outside of the brewery. I was hoping for some blackboard series but they are not always available. We are spoiled in the tri-state area because Victory is available at most bars and distributors. During my visit I had a burger for lunch and it was pretty good. While I did enjoy my visit i'm not sure I would drive the 40mins again because there isn't anything to try that is unique to the brewery. read more

This place has great beer. Their food menu, from what I remember, used to have more stuff on it. This place is pricey. It is cheaper to buy the beer elsewhere than the actual brewery. I don't know why. I had a question about their pizza and I asked the manager. He was a tall young guy. Apparently I was a huge inconvenience to him. We were trying to help plan a bachelor party for my cousin's fiancé and this guy bleeds Dirtwolf. The party planners there were really amazing and helped every step of the way making it as simple as possible. We had a few people not able to make the party with only two weeks before we were ready, so we couldn't afford a room anymore, but they still helped us have a spot and were very understanding. The beer is always amazing there and the staff were very on top of everything. Our server went above and beyond to take care of us and the food came out great. I only have great things to say about this place so if you haven't gone yet and you like beer, this place is one of the best spots we have in the area. read more

Really enjoyed my visit to victory. The beer is obviously awesome, and there's a huge variety to choose from so there's really something for everyone. There's also a lot of seating so if you're looking to sit and have a bite to eat, wait times aren't crazy long. My boyfriend and I both had sandwiches. His was really tasty, mine was eh. The victory ice cream was really tasty though. Definitely get some when you're there. Overall, great space, great beer, and pretty good food. I have been here many times. It is very close to on the way home from Marsh Creek State Park, where I often visit in the summer due to warm lake temperatures and reasonable groupons for non-motorized water sports. Victory is a wonderful way to end a day. There is no outside seating, but there is plenty indoors. There are always special brews here that you cannot get anywhere else, which is always awesome and fun. On my last visit, they tapped a new lager, and were giving it away as free 12 oz beers. The food is good (particularly for a brewery), but don't expect anything fancy here. On a recent visit, I got the fried pickles (which were okay, but a little oil saturated), which come with a spicy sweet sriracha mayo that was very good. I also went with the portobello grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. This was excellent. The sweetness of the carmelized onions really balances the earthiness of the 'shrooms (and the fontina for that matter). Victor also does five beer samplers for a reasonable price. Victory offers just about every style of beer available (sours, stouts, ipas, pale ales, lagers, belgians, pilsners, goses), so as long as the people you dine with like beer, they will have something to their taste. I definitely recommend this brewery if you are in the area or, if not, you like Victory beers and have a DD. read more

Stopped in for the fIrst time. Eating area is large open space with super high ceilings - think converted warehouse. Bar along the back wall. TVs in the bar area. Brewing system viewable from dining area. We were seated right away. Got a Flight if beers to try out. Beers were fantastic. Was surprised that food menu was a bit limited. There were definitely a variety of options but I guess I expected a bit more. Buffalo bites were ok. Spicy pickles that came with them were really good!!!! Great beer (as always). Service was great tonight, but has been spotty. We've been coming routinely for years. When we get a server we know, the service is awesome. The newer staff need more training or something. Corinne was awesome as always. The Korean wings are always good, but the new menu continues to lack. When we visit our kids in Downingtown, we always enjoyed going to victory for dinner. The service WAS very good, the food perfect, the beer cold, and a great place to take kids. I mean, who wouldn't want a beer tattoo? HOWEVER, on our last visit, October, 2018 on a Saturday, we got there at 5:30. It was busy and we were told a 45 minute wait which was not a problem! We caught football games on the big screens and had a couple of cold ones. However, after an hour we checked to see why we hadn't been called....OH, WE CAN TAKE YOU NOW....hmmmm ok... The crowds had really thinned out by then, the Penn State game that everyone had been watching was over with, lots of folks were leaving, and many tables had opened up, and we settled in. We sat, and put in our order of salads and cold sandwiches. It took AN HOUR to get served. The waitress was nice but infrequent and we had to get ketchup from another table. We ravenously ate our food and then,...,.sat and waited for our bill and It was nearly 7:45. PLEASE get these problems straightened out! read more
