This is my first Yelp review ever. Victory automotives: owner, Louis Lavdas and his crew of mechanics are by far The Best Gainesville city has to offer as an Automobile repair services provider. I never used them before they came as a recommendation from a friend. As a single mom and African American living in Gainesville, My brakes started making this crunching sound and I wasn't sure how much damage they were in but I knew it was pretty bad, I wound up needing brakes, rotors, nuts and bolts. I am always leery about going to have my car serviced or repaired by anyone in this city after being ripped off by a Walmart supercenter. I was desperately trying to find honesty and Topnotch service and I found that with Mr. Lavdas. I first want to thank Louis and the ENTIRE crew at Victory Automotive. These guys are nothing less than awesome. I don't like people working on my vehicles (period). I was recently hospitalized and couldn't do the things I wasnted to do to my car, so I searched for the best and found the BEST. Victory Automotive treats their clients like family and they get the job done in a timely fashion. Louis told me my car would be ready on "said" day and I got it back a day before that... I had the pleasure of meeting these guys when I had a recommendation from one of my friends that they were honest mechanics. Being someone who knows nothing about cars I know sometimes its very easy to be taken advantage of. These guys were incredibly honest and fair, they even told me I could wait for some of the maintenance and showed me where the manufacturer says it wasn't time for it. They fit me right in when I called for scheduled maintenance on my lexus. the cost was fractions of what the dealer costs and they even have a cute little shop dog too! with the great level of customer service and great prices I will be recommending this shop to everyone I know! I am a regular customer of Victory and Louis, with three older cars and NEVER had to negotiate with the shop. Louis has always been straight shooter, he tells me what's wrong with my car, part price, and labor, and gives me 10% off for being a valued customer. He is a very knowledgeable mechanic himself and he has this guy Josh, who seems to know everything about any issue with any car. I had my older vehicle brought up here to have some tweaks done to previous work from another shop. And I love it here. The owner has a rat rod 56 f100 as well and hes down to earth and you can sit there and talk shop with him and not feel like they're just there to take your money. The Lead tech is as knowledgeable as they come and seems to know about as much as a great tech can. the place is clean and super packed. The work is top notch, its hard to get in because they're so busy all the time, but trust me its worth it! highly recommended! read more

Its hard to find a good mechanic to trust now a days, but when coming here Louis and the team let me know what was going on with the car and would explain to me in detail what was going on if I had any questions. I have an European car and sometimes they can get messy with electrical issues but they stayed on it and figured it out. The shop stays absolutely slammed all the time but its because they know their stuff and treat people fairly which is hard to find these days. I've been using Victory Automotive Services for the last 5- months, or so. I've been taking my daily driver there for maintenance as well as my classic '68 Chevelle SS396 for upgrades. Each time I've been there I have been impressed with how accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable they've been. Their pricing is fair and their service has been quick. As a young woman, I suggest this shop to all of my friends as I trust them so much. The mechanics and owner, Luis, have helped me take care of my Subaru for years. Even helped me replace my radiator on a Saturday when they were supposed to be closed. They've been nothing but kind, informative, and great to work with. Luis has been taking care of my vehicles for years. He goes above and beyond. He sent a tow truck for me when I broke down 2 hours away and recently he sent one of his guys to change my tire on the interstate since I didn't have a jack.
