Maybe that's because it's literally a 2-minute walk for him, but I suspect if he didn't like his experience, he'd find another place to go. I guess you take that with a grain of salt and my review as the recipient of flowers from here into consideration when thinking of a florist to go to. The flowers I've received from Mason Floral are always fresh and very beautifully arranged. The first time was just a single red rose, which was wrapped in clear cellophane with baby's breath and some greens, nicely tied with a maroon-colored ribbon. The rose was selected at a stage that allowed it to continue to bloom over the course of the next week, and it was super fragrant, too! The second time I received flowers, it was for our 6-month anniversary, and my boyfriend had somehow gotten Mason Floral to stock fresh tulips in February! He told me he always asked if they had tulips (my favorite flower) the first time and kept asking a couple of times before actually going in to order a bouquet of anything for our 6-months. The tulips, I believe it was 11-12 of them (2 different kinds), were arranged beautifully in a glass vase with several daisy-like flowers. They also included some wiring decor in the vase that matched the color of the tulips. At first, the tulips looked really small (I think my boyfriend was a little off-put by that at first), but they opened and bloomed amazingly (again, over the course of a week). Both times, I brought the flowers into the office so as to avoid them being decapitated by my cats, and both times several people stopped to comment on gorgeous they were. My four stars is simply a reflection of me never having direct contact with the store employees/owners, and (from what I suspect) to be on the higher end of the price range for flowers. My boyfriend never disclosed to me what he paid for the flowers, but given that it's a private floral shop and I received out-of-season flowers, I'm going to say it's at least double what you'd pay at the local Meijer or market for flowers...
