Pre installation service was excellent. The installers were quick, efficient and polite, and…read morecleaned up afterwards. That's when we discovered two things. There were several minor breakages of plants and pots, and a heavy concrete statue was disembled and not put back together. But the real problem was with colour. The gutters and the downspouts do not match. I let the installer know and sent an email to the office. I did not hear anything back at all. Very poor customer relations.

A big shout-out to Marcel, Nathen, Shev and Zandri, who went above and beyond to ensure our roof was finished when we needed it to be. We also appreciated the extra care. The site clean-up was so complete. Nils, the project manager, added the final touch when he finished up with an inspection of the work and took care of some extras that we truly appreciated. Again, above and beyond. The final cost was exactly what was quoted. We will recommending Vintage to anyone looking for roof work.

We experienced the very same difficulty with M & M Roofing that Josie wrote about in her 2015 Yelp…read morereview. M & M Roofing is owned by Mike Magdalenich. Does this company not know how to do flashing around chimneys!? Back in November 2023, M & M Roofing began re-roofing my friend's house in Oak Bay but his crew did not do the flashing around the chimney, and they left a deficit in the roof that causes a leak into my friend's bedroom. She has a tub in her bedroom collecting rain water. Is his roofing crew not qualified to do the proper flashing around chimneys? Every 2 or 3 months since the initial work in November 2023, we would phone Mike Magdalenich to enquire when he'd come by to do the flashing, he'd always says he is really busy, but will get around to it. Yeah, right! We are still waiting. Two winters of rain and snow have come and gone since the start of the roofing began. Another winter is coming up. Now Mike Magdalenich doesn't even respond to our calls. M & M Roofing's ready excuse is always that the company is "really busy, but will get around to it". The result is M &. M Roofing can't be depended upon. It is clearly unreliable and non-responsive. I am sure it is a nice problem for M & M Roofing to have in that they are always "really busy," but what homeowner wants to wait months, even years, for this company to do the roofing on a homeowner's home!? Beware of this company as it has a pattern of not being able to commit to a set start date or completion schedule! (Because they are so busy.) Even worse, M & M Roofing wants to be immediately paid in full once the roofing work is done. Payment in full immediately. If M & M Roofing says they will be back to complete the job, don't believe them! M & M Roofing has no incentive to return if they have already been paid in full. Was a very disappointing experience with M & M Roofing.

Based on a single visit encompassing outdoor window cleaning, skylight cleaning, and gutter…read morecleaning: Overall, it was a great experience! - Booking was easy: via phone, patient, and answered my questions satisfactorily every time and even when I added services on two occasions (skylights and gutter cleaning). - The quotes are e-mailed to you and easily understood. - The local franchise owner (Robin) called a couple of days beforehand to confirm expectations. - He and and his team were great when they came on-site; from the introductions, explanation as to what to expect process-wise, to the actual process (and Robin himself climbing on the roof to do the gutter cleaning) to the summary at the end. - Quality of work was great; I like how distilled water is used to clean the windows to prevent the need for drying or streaking! - The invoice comes in an e-mail a couple of weeks later and it's convenient/easy to pay online. Ultimately, for my busy work schedule (I just someone to take care of things while I'm at work) the experience was great and I will be engaging their services again and recommending them to friends and family!
