I've been going for my pedicures since they opened and have seen the changes every time. Never an issue for my and my husband. Now we have Andy and Snow and we love them. Very personable and eager to grow this business. They have lots of experience and I know they will do well in this spot. We got our holiday mani/pedis and couldn't have been more pleased with the service, the outcome and the prices we paid. Normally I love coming here but today not only are the short staffed they stopped working on me nails to help two costumers who came in after me, and no they didn't have an appointment. I specifically declined a pedicure becuase I said I was in a hurry and had somewhere to be so I didn't have time for both a manicure and pedicure. Covid review: So impressed with Victoria Nails!! Victoria nails off greenlawn and 45 was open! One of only 2 I found out of maybe the 30 places I called. They were great! They installed plastic between the nail techs and the pedicure ladies wear these face shields. They were so happy to be working and just super friendly overall. I loved how fresh and clean the place looked and will Be back for sure even when everyone else opens up. I also loved that they were playing like 80's rock and there wasn't chatter between the techs. I went here to get a mani and pedi for my vacation. I chose the mermaid gel color and didn't realize they needed to use a black under coat for the color to actually show until they started doing it. When I asked if the black would show in any way they said no. Well it did. I went back to have them do something else and they redid it with the same process after I said I didn't like it. The second time it was semi ok but after a few days the black showed up and still looks like I was playing in black paint. My pedicure was ok. Being there 3 hours and it never dried so I had to fix it at home. I use to go here all the time but the last few times haven't been the same. I have been coming here for a little while and I have to say Sunday was the last time I'll ever go. My pedicure was done by an older lady who started digging really hard on my toe which I had asked her to stop because of the pain and letting her know I have had infections from them doing that and she gave me a weird look when I told her. She then continued to keep cleaning the nail polish on the sides with her long nails irritating it even more instead of using a brush. I thought it would go away shortly after but it did not. Both of my big toes are super irritated and hurt really bad to the point where I do not want to wear shoes. They never did my polish change or my jell nails and they failed to do my girlfriends jell nails. The worst nail salon ever! Went here later in the evening for a mani-pedi and this place is GOD AWFUL! The owner recommended doing the powder polish for my nails and didn't stop talking on the phone the entire time on the loudspeaker! She didn't pay attention to what she was doing and my nails look hideous - They are clunky and ugly, and the right side is filed square, while the left hand is round! The worst part is that I was charged $45 for just applying that ugly nail polish powder with NO MANICURE! What's annoying is that the aesthetician/owner kept yelling on the phone the entire time, with no courtesy to apologize or have someone else finish, and sent me home with gross looking nails - it looks like a child did them! $90 for a mani pedi that look like crap and now I need to spend on another salon to get this fixed! Here's a request - If you have "personal" calls to make, please have someone else serve your customer and have the courtesy to keep it brief and respect them! I went to get a pedicure and they sat me down next to a blaring tv. The pedicure itself was fine except the massage chair did not work properly. The environment was HORRIBLE! Not only was the tv on and loud. A customer was on her phone on speaker phone being extremely loud. The conversation was not appropriate at all. The staff never told her to get off the phone. She was screaming and talking loudly for over 20 minutes! Thankfully the tv finally went off during her conversation. On thanksgiving my sister took me to get a gel manicure in Houston. It destroyed my nails. So, I came to Victoria Nails close to closing time on NYE, and Kim patiently and meticulously removed the gel without ever making me feel weird about it. She proceeded to give me the best manicure I've ever had. No weird bells and whistles; just super clean cuticles, precise polish, and ton of attention to detail. (I seriously can't stop looking at my hands!) Most importantly, to me at least, is that this was one of the kindest group of people I've ever met at a salon. Kim was so amazing. Sue was so sweet. The man at the front was lovely. Any and everyone that passed said hello with a sincere smile. As someone who struggles pretty severely with crippling social anxiety, I was surprised by how at ease I felt. I only get my nails done for special occasions, but I'm considering going regularly now. I highly recommend this place, I came here with my 5 year old son due to being new in town and no family around to help with him. I knew it wasn't gonna be easy so I brought a toy for him. These ladies were super sweet with him! They turned the water on for him in one of the chairs, gave him popsicles, gave him water, talked to him and helped me pick up his toys when he dropped them. The environment was very clean and relaxing. The nail tech took her time on my nails and eyebrows, the lady that did my pedicure also took her time massaging my feet. The nail tech I got was very polite. I did have to wait a while as I didn't have an appointment. I was a bit nervous as it was my first time. There wasn't many people when I walked in. There are maybe about 4 nails techs for the whole salon and as clients started coming in they started on my nails, my tech was doing my nails and in between doing another clients pedicure which made me very uncomfortable but I was just quiet. Then she started to finish my hand nails but was rushing as more people started coming in and as a result of her rushing with mine they came out completely different as I showed her in the picture. I got a full set about 3 months and needless to say, about a week later one of my nails broke. I then go in for a fill, 3 weeks after that, and 2 of my nails break shortly after. I am currently on my 3rd fill, and it hasn't been a full two weeks, and two of my nails are broken. The products used are apparently cheap/ no good. I did not enjoy the quality of my pedicure either. I am not hard on my nails and do not use my hands a lot, so I don't understand why and how my nails keep breaking. I do not plan on returning. My nails are fine, but I was uncomfortable more than once and will not be returning. other than having acetone and cotton balls wrapped On my fingertips for over 30 minutes, the man doing my nails tried to continuously made jokes that were not hitting. He cut my skin twice with the grinder and first joked saying "I was trying to cut your finger off". I ignored the comment and then he asked if I heard him and repeated the same joke twice. When he went to put the oil on my cuticles, began to just randomly brush the oil all a cross my hand while attempting to make eye contact, and then asked if I would like some on my lips. This place was such an amazing surprise. I had gotten a recommendation from a friend to try it out but checked the reviews and was a little nervous. I realized however that the reviews were older and they announced new management 1/2019. It was way better than I'd expected. They seriously take care of you. The store is very nice, clean, in good shape. I went in for a pedicure and was immediately walked to a chair. I notice that they use liners for the foot bath which I appreciate. It made me feel like it was likely cleaner and I didn't have as much risk of the bowl not being clean. The woman who did my pedicure was very thorough. The leg and foot massage was great. She wrapped my calves in hot towels while finishing massaging my feet then put another hot towel across my feet. Everything was amazing. My polish looks beautiful and my feet feel AMAZING. Went in to get my nails done, noticed they do eyelashes.... Asked for the prices and they showed me. They have a 30$ set or a 100$ set. Of course since I've never gotten my eyelashes done and I'm on a budget I tell them I'll take the 30$ set. Before I laid down, I told her the 30$. She explained to me 30$ set "last only 1 week" and $100 set "last 3 weeks" I said that's ok "30$ set is fine" I wake up 1 your and half later, and she goes over the care steps. She explains "should last about 3 weeks" I said, "3 weeks? Didn't you do the 30$ set?" She says "yeah" I get to the register and they say "135$" WHAT? I asked for the 30$ set like 4 times? I explain,.. no I asked for the 30$ set like 4 times, not only to the lady who did my lashes but also to the lady who did my nails and convinced me to stay and get my lashes done. They said, "I know, but we do for you, look better and last longer for you" that's fine but that's not what I requested. She explained I could get 2 refills for free. So obviously they knew what they did. So I paid without a fight cuz at the time they looked good and I was offered 2 refills for Free. I paid and gave them a 10$ tip. I come back 6 days later.. 6 days!!!! w NO lashes on cuz they sucked.... and she explained I couldn't get a refill cuz a refill is just a fill.... not the whole thing. First off it's been 6 days, all my lashes are off and you said 3 weeks. 2nd off you charged me for the wrong service and 3rd off I fucken paid with no problems and gave them a 10$ tip. I am currently under investigation w my bank to get the charge disputed. These girls are evil and money hungry. Don't fall for there "Asian "I do fo you, better for you" NO! And also they only do your nails according to how they are staffed, for example if you want solar the only person who does solar is "not available at the moment." The owner is rude, and unprofessional with clients. She is a slave driver and domineering with her employees. I made an appointment for SNS with Michelle two weeks ago because she does a PHENOMENAL job! Michelle even gave me a courtesy call to remind me of my appointment the day before. When I arrived at my appointment, the owner started taking off my nails. I told her I have an appointment with Michelle, and she said, "Yes." Michelle was at the back of the room with another client, and when I looked at her for help, she said, "I told her I have an appointment with you, but she said No!" They got into a heated argument, and the owner continued to take my nails off. Then she reached for the SNS powder to begin application. I certainly didn't want her putting my SNS nails on, because she had done it in the past, and she does a HORRIBLE job! I stopped her, and told her I only want Michelle to do them. And she said Michelle couldn't do it because she didn't feel good. That was one of the weirdest things I've ever witnessed! What a Blatant lie!! I told her the ONLY one I would allow to do my nails is Michelle. And she said No. I told her how very unprofessional that was, and that I would write a review about it and tell my friends. I also told Michelle that I am very sorry for the way the owner treat her, and that she should go work somewhere else where she could be treated respectfully as she deserves. Super bad service I came here to get my nails done they had me waiting for 30 minutes and it was not busy at all barely had any clients as well I showed the guy that was attending me the picture of the nails I wanted to get and he says that he can't do the design I want and that they don't have that color in acrylic it's a "nail salon" so I would expect them to have the color I want.
