They had rooms on higher floors but wanted to charge extra to move. (I made reservations 4 months ago.). The roof deck service is French. Slow, slow and slow. I imagine they are handicapped like the rest of the world for service personal but the rest of area seems to be flourishing. For the price and type of property, it should be quite different. The rooms are European small, but the location is great. So they can get away with that. Next time, I won't make the same mistake. Any of the properties down the way would be more appreciative and be a better experience. So much for being loyal.

Stayed at the presidential suite on the 4th floor, spacious accommodations. Not sure if the perk for the room or Covid, but the minibar was complementary and endlessly replenished the entire week. Breakfast on the room top standard continental fare and dishes made to order, great view. Pool is just for soaking, about a meter deep, not for swimming, also quite small. But again, people don't come to Cannes for the pool. Beach clubs are very close by and concierge will reserve prime spots for you. The Roof bar is rocking all night, if you are silent, despite the sound dampening you can detect the subwoofers vibration in your suite, so light sleepers beware, or go upstairs and join the party. Probably the nicest hotel to the convention center, so definitely a hidden gem if attending the CFF. Looking forward to returning soon, 10/10.

We travel often and regularly stay at luxury hotels, so we understand that premium service comes…read morewith premium pricing. Unfortunately, our experience here felt misleading and deeply disappointing. We were specifically told that our transfer price included a short lunch stop along the way. Only after the trip did we discover we were charged an additional €300 for that brief stop -- on top of an already extremely expensive transfer. The total cost for a 3 hour and 45 minute transfer was €975. To put that into perspective, during this same trip we booked three separate 8-hour private tours with private drivers through other 5-star hotels in France, and every one of those full-day experiences cost less than this transfer. Beyond the billing issues, we also dealt with multiple contradictory explanations from staff, incorrect charges, a bedroom AC that did not work properly, and a television that repeatedly malfunctioned. What was most concerning was the overall tone when these issues were raised. During our stay, we witnessed several other guests in loud disputes with hotel staff in the lobby, which suggested we were not the only ones experiencing problems. Had everything been explained honestly upfront, this review would likely not exist. We are happy to pay for excellent service. What we object to is feeling misled. Beautiful property, but the lack of transparency and professionalism completely overshadowed the experience.

If I could give it O stars I would…read more I had a highly disappointing experience at the Best Western Plus Cannes, which I would unfortunately rate as the worst hotel I've ever visited. The room I booked was advertised with air conditioning, yet the temperature soared to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius), making it extremely uncomfortable. Despite the unbearable heat, the staff was unhelpful and outright refused to offer any meaningful accommodation or a refund. Upon check-in, I was initially offered a room overlooking the atrium where guests have breakfast, which I refused due to privacy concerns. The response from the manager, Arnaud, was incredibly unprofessional, informing me that I was out of luck and even threatening to call the police over the room dispute. The rooms were not only small but also poorly decorated. Not to mention the room I was assigned #227 had an awful bathroom door. The door slammed shut and the door knob smashed me in the arm leaving a severe black and blue mark (see attached Photo). Despite its prime location, the overall experience was a nightmare. The hotel itself felt outdated and poorly maintained, with a dark, unwelcoming lobby that resembled a dungeon, and a pool that looked nothing like the advertised photos. I am suing this hotel and will find a way to get my money back! If they cant pay me back, then they can pay for the litigation costs which will be well over the $500 I am deserved as a refund. It's great to have over 100 lawyer friends in all different countries! Game on Best Western Cannes! You will pay!!!!

We ate in the garden and the food was prepared there too by Alain, the co-owner. The menu was not large but was comprehensive and no one in our party of six had any trouble in finding something. In fact we all wanted to try several dishes so we ordered as many different dishes as possible and plates were passed freely around the table. The service by Giselle, Alains wife and co-owner was not intrusive but she always managed to be close to hand when we required something. There was no rush to make us vacate our table and we were only ever made to feel totally comfortable and welcome. I just wish that we were able to stay for a night and sample the full package but our schedule would not allow it. Would we go here again in a heartbeat! The road up to this little treasure is not for the faint hearted but is well worth the effort. If you are staying anywhere within striking distance of this hotel/restaurant please please please take the chance to find it and find out for yourself just how great this place is. I promise you will not be disappointed. The prices were approx Euros35 per person but we did not have a lot of alcohol.

The Cannes Film Festival transforms the city into a focal point of international film, attracting directors, actors, critics, and industry professionals from around the world. At its core, Cannes is deeply serious about film. The official selection showcases bold, challenging, and often cutting edge cinema, rewarding artistic vision. Winning the Palme d'Or remains one of the highest honors in filmmaking, signaling lasting cultural significance. In addition to the cinema is the fashion showcase. I love the fashion!!! Red carpets, couture fashion, luxury yachts, and exclusive events give Cannes its legendary appeal. Every year I eagerly await the Cannes Film Festival. It is interesting to note that there are 2 red carpets entrances - front (closed to the public) and side entrance (open to the public). Writing about my time at the festival is going to make me emotional because this has to be one of the best moments of my life. I'm a huge cinephile. I went to school for film and worked in the industry for a little. I adore film festivals. When I learned that I didn't need to be an industry professional or millionaire to attend, I immediately applied. The application for me opened in February 2024. I wrote a cover letter and filled out a form online. I got news I was accepted in March 2024. 3 Days in Cannes is divided into three sessions. The first is better for networking and the third is better for access to more screenings. I learned this after the fact and had already applied to the first. I still really loved my first session because we got to see some incredible films. They had a WhatsApp group that connected us to the other people in our session. I loved this because I was able to use this as a tool to not only make friends from all over the world, but get tickets people didn't want. When I arrived they had us pick up our accreditation badges at the marina next to the palais. It was an easy process. We were able to RSVP for screenings and get tickets through a portal with a special login. Screenings opened three days before their date at 9am France time for us. We weren't able to get everything we wanted, but through refreshing the portal during evenings or an hour before a screening there were enough cancellations to see certain films. You can get penalized for not attending a film you RSVP for. During my three days I was able to see 10 films and a rendez-vous with Meryl Streep. I did try out the grueling six hour premiere line for Oh, Canada! and was able to get in. I saw some celebs like Uma Thurman, Richard Gere, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nick Cage, and more. I got some free wine from the Microsoft Cafe, free coffee from Nespresso Cafe, and a vintage Cannes poster from a 3 Days in Cannes Happy Hour. I loved being able to visit so many cinemas. They have one that is 25 minutes away called Cineum that was easier to see more desirable films like Megalopolis. But watching films in the Grand Lumiere was so magical. It's the biggest cinema I've ever been in my life. And the seats were pretty comfy too. I spent most of my day watching movies. If you don't have an accreditation, you are able to dress up and make a sign asking for an invitation (a ticket) to a film. I saw a good amount of people get lucky this way. I loved the way this space was set up. Everything you needed was within walking distance. The only annoying part was when you needed to get into the festival section and it was barricaded for red carpet moments. Note: you do not want to be driving near here LOL Attending the festival was one of the most magical experiences of my life. I left feeling inspired by all the incredible films I was blessed enough to view. I'm so grateful to have found a program like 3 Days in Cannes.
