Victor Vezza is an old fashion men's hairdressers: they can do a few fancy things with the clippers, but it is straight-ahead "something for the weekend" old school style.
I have been getting my hair cut here on and off for about a year. Because I use salons the rest of the time, I've never really built a relationship with any one barber here, but I notice that most of the other customers seem to have a name that they request. It's a workmanlike atmosphere, very masculine and chatty: topics to rehearse include last night's television, the state of Glasgow schools but never the football.
It hasn't gone for the younger market- except the unhappy school kids getting their mop chopped- so don't expect anything too fancy. I usually end up going home and covering my head in "product" afterwards, seeing how I can shape my fading hair into something that doesn't look too much like a basic cut. But they are fast, cheap and friendly, and they have never messed my hair up with uneven sides, and the "too much off the front" I worry about is more to do with my receding hairline than their skills. read more
