Anyway, I had my 2014 haircut here and the hairdresser put me at ease so I thought I'd try them again for my 2015 haircut. It was the same hairdresser - can't remember her name but she's got ginger hair & is from Arbroath - and surprisingly she remembered me. She took her time to check what I wanted and although she's got the gift of the gab it was easy conversation rather than "where are you going on holiday?". The cut & style cost £29.50 which I think is reasonable esp as my hair did reach my waist and I got quite a bit cut off. One good haircut later and I'll be back. Might even try going 6 monthly...maybe.

So off I waddled along the road - opposed to the twenty minute walk to my Hair Design usual. As mentioned above, the venue is nice, clean and well presented. It has a lovely atmosphere, the prices are reasonable and the staff are really friendly, quick and efficient. Though, I only had a trim in here - good as it was - so will need to get back to you with an update as to how they are with a proper chop and/or dye job.

On the spur of the moment I got an appt. yesterday 13th Nov and wow what a lovely ambience, friendly and welcoming salon and a great cut and blow dry!! A bit more expensive than where I have been trying but worth every penny!! I have already booked for my colour next month and hopefully will be a regular customer. Cannot praise this salon enough and with being an ex hairdresser( a long time ago) I felt welcomed and at ease as though I was a regular already and not my first visit. Thank you ladies.

They do not treat the customers well at all it's obvious that the staff do not get on with each other . You are there far too long listening to a lot of bickering amongst the staff this creates an unpleasant atmosphere within the shop.Management should keep an eye on this as sales will fall , I certainly won't be back.

There was a bit of a problem because I was told to come down for a hair consultation when I booked the appointment. Because I have Chinese hair that is very dark. When I came for the hair consultation, I was told that it could be done and I was quoted roughly £170 for creative colour, cut and Olaplex (better for dyed hair). No strand test was taken and I booked in for Tuesday. When I arrived on the Tuesday the hairdresser was surprised that a strand test hadn't been taken and she explained that it was a much lengthier appointment that needed 2x bleach work. This made it a colour correction and it was around £270 odd!! With a little oohing and ahhing, I decided to go for it, since I was so pumped for getting it done.. The manager came out and he apologised for the mistake with quoting me the wrong price and treatment. So he offered a discount, free Olaplex and he went to the Finneston branch to grab me the perfect blue colour that I wanted (I wanted to look like Romona Flowers blue from Scott Pilgrim!!!) This was a 6 hour treatment and the ladies were so nice. I had wifi, I had a Pokestop from where I sat, I was given popcorn, a White Russian, chocolate milkshake, Gossip Girl on the big screen. It really didn't feel like 6 hours, but I was knackered after it. So wow the colour was actually amazing and so vibrant. My hair feels so soft and I love it. I have been told to buy more Manic Panic colour to top up myself. So I'll see how that goes!

This is a lovely, small, local hairdressers with chatty staff who know their stuff. No appointment is required, which is always good for popping in on your day off whenever you like. The owner of the shop listens carefully to what you would like done and talks you through how she'll do it. Then proceeds to quickly and effectively follow through. This is definitely the place to go if you want a good cut and colour by well trained and friendly individuals. Furthermore, the prices are superb, as a good shampoo and cut will only set you back about £15.

But my hair was getting tragic just as my monthly wage was reduced to statutory maternity pay, so I took a gamble on this salon, which had a great price and good reviews. Well, the gamble paid off. The staff were really friendly, with frequent cups of tea or coffee on the go for whomever wanted one. Jennifer, who cut my hair, was personable and more importantly, competent at cutting curly hair. She cleaned up my mane and listened when I asked for more to be taken off the bottom. The only quibbles I have are that Jennifer overbooked herself--she had four women on the go while I was there so my cut and colour took three hours when it really didn't need to. Also, she looked like she had just rolled out of bed after a night of heavy drinking...and it was two in the afternoon. When you go to get a haircut, you want your stylist to look sharp. That being said, she did get the job done but if I hadn't pre-paid for the cut I probably would have turned around and gone home upon seeing her.

BUT, it is not only the colour and cut, it is the way they spend time with you initially asking so many questions about your hair: what you like about it, what you do not like about it, what you do with it, how much time you spend on it, how you wear it daily, what do you do when you go out....all the while lifting it, looking at the way it falls, analysing the texture. They are just honestly so interested in it. They explain the process and double checks to make sure they know what you want. They call you by name throughout the entire procedure, while their funny/quirky banter with each other is a treat to listen to by itself. ..and the fact that they are all very easy on the eye is another plus!
