I wanted to wait to leave the review for this place until we had time to really sit down and think about it. My husband and I went to the Keys for a little mini vacation and on the way down there our air conditioner stopped working on our Miata. At the suggestion of the hotel we were staying at my husband drove up to the Vic's. He went inside and explain to the gentleman at the counter that are air had gone out and that we had just had it serviced before leaving home. My husband asked if anyone could look at it and just see if it was a belt that was squealing. A mechanic walked into the office and the man at the counter asked if he had time to just look at our car. He said he had 30 cars waiting for service, walked out and the gentleman at the counter told my husband to follow him. He was walking to our car and he asked my husband if he had an appointment. My husband said no but he could make one if needed. The mechanic looked at my husband and said " you just don't give a shit do you?". My husband asked him what he meant, he said "you just don't give a damn do you?". My husband did not know what to say. He opened the hood, he pulled the belt, said no it's not that, slammed the hood and walked off. My husband just left rather than have any kind of confrontation. My husband is an officer with the fire department, clean cut, not some thug off the street. He had said he could make an appointment if needed and for this mechanic to talk to him that way was unwarranted as well as unprofessional. If this is the way you treat people, whether they are tourists or locals, I don't know how you stay in business. You do not have to worry about us coming in ever again. read more

Watch Out!!!!!!! Brought my car for poor running engine and service engine light. I was warned in advance about him from two neighbors at my condo but I still tried them. After $980.00 the car's service light was back on and running lousy. He tells me I have big problems and will cost about another $600.00 to fix the cooling system and there is an oil leak. When I tell him that I had a bad valve cover gasket that had been fixed he says that now I know more then him in a rude way. Next I run the car up to a BMW dealer in south Florida and they tell me I need a new fuel filter due to Code 174 Lean fuel mix left bank and that all the last guy did was clear the code as far as he can see. When I tell Vic he says he has a video that he took just in case I went somewhere else. Who takes a video in advance but a thief that's who. The person behind the counter was really rude and you would at least think that she would have said thank you when I paid but instead she just got this dumb blank stare. She knows they are thieves too and that bad karma will make it's way around one day. I live down there and I would warn anybody to stay away and if you have out of state plates he will really rob you. Peace Out read more

:-) Hello there!!! I would like to say a Great Big "Thank You!!!!" To The Amazing, Kind Hearted, Family Oriented & Genuine People over at 'Vic's Auto Tech' here in Tavernier, Fl.. My Family & I moved to The Florida Keys in 2013 in A U-Haul Truck and My Car was on a Car Tower behind it, that I had no clue of what was wrong with it. I asked the Good LORD to Direct Me to the Right People & Place where They could Find the problem & Fix the Problem Without It Costing Me (A Single Mother) a Arm & A Leg, too much Money, that I did not have. :-) So I Asked My New Landlord about Shops that where available in the Fl. Keys & to My Surprise she mentioned the Very Shop that Had Chosen to go to!!!! When I walk In and Spoke to The Beautiful Lady In the Office, She was so Kind I felt like I already knew Her. She said Yes Ma'am What Can I Do For You Today!!! I will Never forget Her Smile, I was exhausted from Work & Moving My Family. I told her My situation, She said Ma'ma, can you give Me a Moment and My Mechanic will be right with you. :-) Ok!! Meanwhile, I am Still Praying LORD, Let the Right Person come out Here and Help Me & My Children. I heard a Gentleman Ask Me... Yes Ma'am, What Can I Do for You Today!!!! I Looked Up, these were Magic Words to Me... And They Meant Them too. I later found out The Guy was The Owner of 'Vic's Auto Tech' ,, Vic & His Lovely Wife. I will Never forget Their Genuine Hearts & Concern about Me getting My Car & Family up and rolling again. After Mr. Vic's diagnosing & Finding The Source of the problem, I got a Phone Call saying... Your Car Is Ready to be picked up!!! I was Shocked & Soooo Happy at the same time. To My Surprise, These People were Quick & On Point. I had to pay, But it was so Much Less than... If I had to take My Car to Some body else. :-) :-) :-) I could Afford it. I am Forever Thankful to The Good LORD for Guiding Me Straight To The Right Auto Mechanic Shop for Me & My Family. I can tell You All of another Time when I Needed New Tire's & had to go Out of Town, Vic's Auto Cared Enough to Assure My Safety before I got on The Road, They looked out for Me again. ***** Now, Vic's Auto Tech' is Where I Take all My Vehicle's for Oil Changes & for All My Auto Needs. I have lived in the area for a few years, and although I have friends who won't go anywhere but Vic's, I have always taken my car to a dealership on the mainland for service. I recently had to replace tires and after making a few calls and looking at pricing on line, I stopped by Vic's and was surprised to find out that they could get me a comparable (if not better) price than any of the tire shops on the mainland. Tires were in the next day and I was in and out in 20 minutes without going any further than across the highway!vic also gave me info on buying tires for a hybrid car that nobody else had bothered to tell me in my 3 years of owning one.
