Never again will I used this place and never will i recommend them to anyone. My 2019 Honda Odyssey AC went out, took it in and they "ran a full diagnostic" I quote this because they say they did but somehow I don't believe they did. I was told my AC compressor and stuff along with it was bad and if I fixed that my problem would be solved. Paid them for the diagnostic, then paid for the parts and labor, around $2000 later I thought we were good only to have the AC go out again. Took it back to Charlie's only for him to say "there's an electrical issue." How did you not find it before? Why would you fix something without fixing the actual issue first? Ridiculous. Since this happened, they don't seem to think they are responsible and don't even contact me back with an explanation. read more

Dirtbags. Original quote to replace a tire $285, then the invoice they produced was $300. They had to order the tire and took a $20 deposit. My wife went back to get the work done once the tire arrived. They charged her $325 and kept the deposit for a total of $345. Mouth breathing scumbags read more

I had a terrific experience today and am surprised that there are any bad reviews. As it happens, I chose to wait the 90 or so minutes while the car was being worked on. Every customer who came in was a local, which speaks highly of Charlie and his crew in my book. Also, I overheard a lot of the chatter in the garage. The mechanics were working on about three cars, two of which (mine included) posed some diagnostic problems. The conversations reflected a serious level of professionalism and a genuine interest in figuring out what was going on. On top of that, I received honest advice. My car doesn't have a long time to live and, indeed, will be unsafe to drive before long. The mechanic told me not to put much more money into the car and to have it looked at frequently for safety reasons. He also discounted the cost because the results of a diagnostic test were unclear. I was treated with professionalism and courtesy, as were the other customers who came through. read more

I've lived in Key Largo since 1998 and Charlie's Garage has been my go-to repair shop for everything. They babysat me through the repairs on a 17-year-old Firebird convertible, took care of my 2 Chrysler 300s and now they address any issues I have with my Challenger. Charlie clearly explains all the options and the effects of each. I have never been quoted one figure and charged another, higher amount. The staff members in this family-owned and -operated business have deep roots in our community and are friendly and helpful. All of a sudden my check engine light came on the other day, along with a couple other of lights I didn't understand. One of my good friends is really good with cars and knows how to fix most problems. He was trying to help me get the code, but we couldn't get the code to pop up using the correct actions. He suggested I go to Charlie's because we both get our oil changed there and have had good expereinces, he told me that they can help me get the code and we can go from there. I went in the other morning, and the woman was very kind and told me that the guy who checks the codes would not be available until 2, and to come back then. I went in at 2pm, and the guy was utterly rude. He basically told me that myself and my friend are both too stupid to fix my car, and why do I need the code because I wont be able to do anything with it, and treated me like an idiot. It was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. I called my friend to let him know what was going on, and he asked what the guy looked like, upon my description he told me that is Charlie, the owner. The owner treated me like I am an idiot; I am not saying that I know a lot about cars, because I don't, but I knew what I needed, and was treated like an idiot for giving them business. I will not be going back there ever again, and neither will any of my friends that used to use their services for routine maintenance. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE KEYS!!! I have always used Largo Auto Service and always will from now on. But they were busy this morning and recommended Charlie's Garage. Remind you, I am a local here and have been for a few years now. The "manager" was In this morning. I just needed an oil change and he said that he could do it. So the "manager" gets in my car and turns it on. Now my boyfriend asks how long will it take because we needed to get to work in a couple hours. The "manager" then gets out of my car and slams MY CAR DOOR and proceeded to say "look man come back when you have a couple more minutes to spare next time" and walks away into the office. New in Key Largo and needed an estimate on my ac. I saw this big brite sign and the place looked like a mom and pop kinda place, kool you know help the local businesses right. So I left my car there because it was going to take a couple of hours. I called to check on my car. The person who answered the phone said yes ur estimate is ready. I thought the estimate alone would be no more than $50.00 because being in the Keys. I get to the place and they quoted me I think it was like over $450.00 for a low pressure hose to be changed out! I told him I didn't have that kind of money! As to my surprise, I was given an invoice for $150.00 just to tell me the hose was bad! I don't see how they are still in business. What a freakin rip-off are you kidding me! I think they see a woman and see a $$$ sign on my forehead! Never again, don't go there, unless you're rich and can afford the rip-off!!!
