I used to drive to NYC for my haircuts because it's difficult to find hair stylists that can make my volume-less, asian hair have more body. Kelly, the owner, was my hair stylist and did an amazing job. I showed her a picture and she was able to re-create it with ease. She's personable and the salon itself was inviting and clean. Haircut included wash and a mini scalp massage. Will definitely be coming back!

I have to say that I have actually liked a few of the Stylists who work at the Downingtown, PA…read moreGreat Clips. However, the Owners of this Great Clips and the Great Clips in Pottstown, PA have implemented a business model that has their Pottstown, PA Stylists travel (an hour each way) to their other Great Clips in Downingtown, PA on a "rotating" basis. My point is that if you find a Stylist that you like that day, you probably will never see that Stylist again, as they are not stationed permanently out of that location, they are actually from Pottstown. They are made to travel. Kind of ridiculous when you think about it, as Stylists like to build a "book of business" with their skills and repeat customers. I like going back to the same Stylist, as it's much easier for them to pick up where they left off and they know what you want. I realize each Stylist leaves notes in the customer's record as to what blade they used, etc., however, it is not the same. As a customer, we feel we have to start over again with a different person to just do it again, with someone new, in the next few weeks. There would be no point in a customer continuing to go there as their choice of Hair Salon.

They made you feel comfortable. The salon is beautiful, well kept, and clean. However, I received a haircut that was supposed to be long layers and I did not receive that. The layers were not blended- the shortest layer was one blunt cut that didn't blend or flow with the rest of my hair... it looks like weird long bangs. It's truly awful, I cried. I can't do a single thing with my hair; everything honestly looks so terrible! I am truly disappointed and saddened. I went to another salon to get the layers fixed. It was literally so bad she immediately told me she couldn't fix it for another two months until my hair grew back, considering the length & texture of my hair. Terrible... I am so so upset- I had expected more considering the amazing reviews. The receptionist who washed my hair and got me ready was perfect. The only good that came from this was being able to donate ~12 inches of my hair. Unfortunately I would not recommend a cut, and I will also not be coming back.
