Especially at the farmers market there is a booth where you can make your own soda and although the line was long it moved quickly and had a great result. I don't think I go out of my way to visit the Grove, considering the distance and the difficulty of getting parking. Huge crowds, have to pay for parking, and even if you walk farther away, it's a risk to get towed and there's metered parking too that hit a 2 hour maximum, at least the last time I went there. Aside from accidentally wandering in here or being here for a specific event (seeing Yoshiki over a decade ago or the 20th anniversary Rilakkuma pop up, which was absolutely fisted with people), I've only wandered here on accident when hanging out with friends elsewhere. There's a good number of shops and eateries though, especially since it sort of shares the space/is right next to the Farmer's Market (great open area to go shop and to go dine). Large overlap of the same shops and eateries as the Americana, but there's things there that we don't have in Glendale. Lot of higher end businesses. Big fan of the La La Land Kind Cafe and what they do, their drinks, and their aesthetic. It's not a bad outdoors mall, considering how "fancy" it is, the fact that it's outside in the California sunshine, and the fountain with the Bellagio style musical water shows, but just know that the parking can get hideous.

Love that it has a parking garage so makes it easy when you have little ones on strollers and so fourth. We come here every Tuesday from 10-10:50 for Story/music Time with Ms.Chutney she's truly amazing and keeps the kids so entertained and they love singing along and it's interactive and love that before class starts she always has a small table with arts and craft for the theme of the week. She will have from Stamps, coloring sheets, Dot Dot paint and more. Little tip that I didn't know and it's a game changer..( after class they give you a 2 hr validation stamp card) when you leave the garage you add the one you got first and then add the validation one following and you get free parking. There is a huge grass area and that's where the class takes place. Depending on the weather we will move to the concrete area but class still goes on. It's such a fun spot to come with friends and family or just hang and read a book and grab a bite to eat.

When I entered at 8:30 pm there was an attendant at the gate. When I left at 8:50pm there was no attendant and putting my validated ticket into the machine at the gate made me pay $2. Pressed on the call button resulted in no response. The next week on a Friday, I pull in around 8:25pm and there's an attendant there so I told her about my experience before (validated ticket with no attendant) and she was not very helpful but said that there needs to be an attendant for a validated ticket to work. So, I asked how long she'll be there until, which she said 10pm. I left 15-20 minutes after entering the structure. As I was pulling up the gate, I SEE HER WALKING AWAY FROM THE GATE. I waive at her with my ticket and she looks at me and shakes her head (sorry I can't help you) as she continues to walk away. WTF! This parking structure is absolutely ridiculous. The "complimentary 15 minutes" is also a joke because no one can get in and out in under 15 minutes. Don't go to the Platform if you have to use the structure to park.

The parking lot has dedicated many spots for the exclusive use of Electric vehicles. Many of those spots sit empty. I predict that this is a harbinger of future hostilities between conventional/hybrid car owners vs. all-electric vehicle owners. The elevator has a 4-person limit and going over that will cause the elevator to become stuck and beep very loud (which is so sketchy). The permit listed on the elevator expired in 2023 as well. It's always lively and bustling with younger AND older generations of Koreans plus plenty of non-Koreans looking to explore the culture! As someone who has lived in Koreatown his whole life, this place is a pillar of Korean-American culture. By the way, cell reception is completely non-existent in many areas of the mall including H-Mart and the food court. Restrooms are on the first floor.

If they have to do maintenance, they should avoid doing so during such busy hours. + Nicole's Coffee Shop was kind enough to validate my parking without me buying anything. I decided to support their business anyway. - The food court is very limited on hydrating, healthy drinks. I had barely walked around inside the Plaza for 15min when suddenly all the lights went out. Inside H-Mart was so dark. I ran outta there. Sunlight still shown through the windows, thankfully. Everyone was confused. I rushed back to my car in the parking garage and booked it outta there. Thankfully the gatekeeper's barricade arm was staying up (so my validated parking ticket didn't matter) so I could drive off quickly before the exit became a bottleneck. Turns out West LA had a blackout... the one time I ever visit LA! Shame, cuz I wanted to walk around Koreatown Plaza a little more before heading to the next checkpoint in my itinerary.

This is probably the best shop I've shopped at and I hate that I live so far away! While that may be a good thing (I would be beyond broke), I could spend hours looking at all of the cuteness. I will say that they have an amazing Black Friday sale so put an alert in your calendars to shop online or visit. Staff was super friendly and cute (which I would expect nonetheless) and it was so cute to see the Sonny Angels trading tables out front. While I'm not a fan of Sonny Angeles, there are other varieties of hippers if that's what you're looking for. While most of the store is Sanrio related, there are other popular characters that are worth browsing. Prices are what you would expect for a pop culture store so plan accordingly. They also don't have a parking lot, but you can easily find street parking (the meters take card and coins). All in all, loved visiting and I cant wait to visit again!!!
