Since this was written about his NEW location I decided to copy and paste and share it here for all to see! I just finished taking my second class at Basil's new studio in Ridgefield, CT. (Which is GORGEOUS and filled with LOVE!) As always his class was AMAZING! I stumbled upon Basil Yoga in the fall of 2010 when he was located in North Salem, NY - his studio was just a few minutes from my home in Ridgefield. I drove by it quite often and one day I decided to stop in and take a class. That first experience was life changing... Before that I had only taken yoga at a fitness center and one other yoga place in Ridgefield (which was very unwelcoming and militaristic) So when I took my first class at Basil Yoga I was blown away. I didn't know that there was more to yoga than just a good work out! Let me just say that Basil changed my life. His teaching are profound. Not only do you get an amazing yoga workout, but the yoga philosophies, that he weaves into his teachings, are extremely helpful and always seem to be exactly what I need to hear that day. I love that he combines the whole body, mind and spirit in all of his teachings. With the new studio he is offering 50+ classes! So there is defiantly something for everyone. Also, I can't say enough good things about his instructors (Alicia, Bryn, Mike, & Theresa)!!! I love them all - they each bring their own magic to each of their classes. The hardest part is deciding which one to take, because I want to take them all. Also, Christine, at the front is so welcoming and helpful. If you every need anything she is at the ready to help and guide you to the perfect solution. I can't recommend Basil Yoga more highly, not only is it my yoga studio, but it's also my spiritual sanctuary, where the community is strong and the yoga traditions are alive and well!

I am now back in town visiting friends for the holidays and I made it a priority to schedule in time again on the Power Plate with Pilates. I have not found a substitute near my new residence and my body is really missing these workouts. It wasn't until I stopped going (after 4 years of regularity) did I realize how toned and muscular these sessions truly kept me. I may have to move back...I miss them so much!

What they do a little differently is combine it with Pilates instruction and offer several reformers and apparatus. The instruction is absolutely stellar. And, I've worked out at the best places with the best trainers my whole life, so am an excellent judge. This little gem rocks!

In the readings, it's not uncommon for Jesus or Mother Mary to come through, which they did for my reading. But, and this is a big but, if you have a lovely protected shungite room with some of the highest vibrating beings on the planet coming thru, wouldn't you kinda think they'd protect you and you wouldn't need to wear your mask? That dichotomy and disconnect between energy, vibration and fear doesn't really work for me. Hence, my prior review remains the same that this is a Spirit Lite sort of place...which there is nothing wrong with whatsoever because everyone needs a place to start. It is my deepest desire and wish that one owner would step out of her fear and into the truth and light and knowing that one's own field can protect you from bullets - think of Neo in the Matrix - and you do not need to sit around in masked fear. Regardless, I always find something here, like the moon calendar I needed, and am grateful they do exist. But being a conscious empath walking into fear porn where there should not be fear porn remains super hard. The feather wall hangings currently for sale are especially lovely. And, more often than not I buy larger crystals here I am very pleased with.

They kept telling me to wait for it, but after a year passed, I asked for a refund and they are refusing to give me my money back. I have written countless emails and sent pages of documents confirming my registration and payments. They are claiming that they do not have a record of my payment!! I would recommend that you DO NOT attend any workshops or trainings at Kaia Yoga. They are not forthright in their business practices.
