He was so nice and cordial. He checked on us from time to time. We started off with the honey whipped feta dip. It was very good. We also ordered the poke nachos. It was delicious! The chips were so crunchy and warm. For dinner I ordered the pistachio encrusted salmon on a Greek salad. My friends both ordered the short ribs. All of our food was very tasty! No complaints on any of our entrees. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter bread pudding. It tasted amazing! It was very moist and flavorful. We had such a wonderful time and know we will be back to try other exquisite dishes.

I hate writing this because I really like this spot, but people should double-check their bill…read more I came in last night and ordered the Ube drink. According to the menu, it's listed at $14, but my card was charged $20.54 before I even added a 20% tip. I attached screenshots of the menu, and my bank statement for reference. I understand mistakes happen, but being charged over $6 more than the listed menu price is unacceptable, especially when the bar wasn't busy. I was really disappointed because I've enjoyed coming here, but it's hard to keep supporting a local business if I can't trust that I'll be charged correctly. Hopefully this was just an honest mistake, but I'd recommend everyone check their receipt before paying!

ESCO has officially earned a spot at the top of my Memphis brunch list…read more From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere speaks for itself--upscale without being pretentious, energetic yet inviting. The music, décor, and overall vibe create the perfect brunch experience. Every detail feels intentional. Now let's talk about the food... As a chef, I appreciate when dishes are more than just visually appealing. ESCO delivered chef-curated recipes with thoughtful layering of flavors. Lamb Chops - Perfectly cooked with a beautifully seasoned crust and incredible tenderness. Every bite was balanced and flavorful. Smothered Potatoes with Grilled Onions & Scrambled Eggs - These weren't your average breakfast potatoes. The grilled onions added a subtle sweetness and depth that elevated the entire dish. Even the scrambled eggs were seasoned--not just cooked--which tells me the kitchen pays attention to every component on the plate. Red Velvet Waffle & Fried Chicken Wings - This was the star. The waffle was rich, incredibly moist, and topped with a luscious cream cheese drizzle that complemented the red velvet instead of overpowering it. Paired with crispy, perfectly seasoned fried wings, it was sweet, savory, and absolutely unforgettable. Pineapple Mimosa - Bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Sangria - Fruit-forward, refreshing, and dangerously smooth. One of the better sangrias I've had in Memphis. A special shoutout to Alex, our server. His hospitality, menu knowledge, timing, and personality made an already amazing experience even better. Service like that deserves recognition. Overall Ratings Food: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 Vibe: 10/10 Venue: 10/10 Service (Alex): 10/10 ESCO isn't just serving brunch--they're creating an experience. I thought hey...Bar Keough has great food and makes a great old fashioned. Maybe a nightcap will do me good Now...as a backstory I have recently lost weight. So a lot of my clothes are big because I'm slowly trying to replace my wardrobe. This will all make sense in a minute I park and walk up to the door....which we need to just stop and talk about how high that step is. That, mixed with clunky shoes and baggy pants equaled to some stumbling. Also pulling the barstool out it got caught so I stumbled again. Also...I'm extremely clumsy sometimes Of course the bartender was like "I'm not sure I'm comfortable serving you" and I said "Why?" And he said "You stumbled in here, you're obviously drunk" At this point, given my messy appearance and how I walked in, I understood and I told him that and explained what happened. He then proceeds to ask me "How much have you had to drink?" And I said "Nothing, I just told you" and he said "Yeah ok I'm still not comfortable serving you" so I just told him to forget it and left (Stumbling on the way too high step on the way out which didn't help my case) Maybe I wasn't dressed nice enough, maybe he doesn't like clumsy people? I completely understood protecting himself...but to basically accuse me of lying is crazy work Friendly neighborhood bar...yeah ok I will not be returning and I suggest if you do...watch your step and wear fitted clothes.
