Both of us were wearing worn and dated shoes and while the employee working looked at both of our shoes when we walked out she walked out behind us and took down my license plate number. I went back in to ask why and the employee said the manager instructed her to do so. The manager came to the front and said she thought we left with different shoes but said she didn't find any "empties" in the back. Clearly we were being watched even though there were many customers, none of which were persons of color. Not only that but the manager was aggressive and hostile in her demeanor. I'm very disappointed and sincerely hope that the issue is addressed but considering it happened in 2019 by someone else who left a review, it would seem racism is acceptable to Famous Footwear. They have a small but very nice selection on line. Pricing is extremely fair vs the big stores. Pics on the website are actual pics of the decks and not stock pics.
