I buy their candles, support their other business ventures, and have consistently gone out of my way to support this establishment. Today, I purchased a $65 upgrade for a full detail and asked for an additional air freshener. Apparently, that's where Amy draws the line. One air freshener per customer. No exceptions. I politely explained to the lovely Amy that I had just paid for a full detail, had a wet dog in my vehicle, and would appreciate a little consideration. Her response? No. I then explained that I had no problem canceling my membership over this kind of customer service. Her response was simply, "Do what you need to do." And there you have it. What I find most troubling isn't the air freshener. It's the complete lack of common sense, customer appreciation, and basic understanding of how to run a service business. Imagine being so indifferent to customer retention that you're willing to sacrifice a loyal, recurring customer over an air freshener that probably costs the business pennies. Besrat understands the value of relationships and customer service. Amy clearly does not. Businesses spend thousands of dollars attracting and retaining customers. Amy managed to undo all of that over an air freshener. It's not about the air freshener. It's about the attitude. And unfortunately, Amy's attitude speaks volumes.

He stated that he didn't know her and told me that he was gonna call the police. I sit there for 20 more minutes waiting for The police who I thought was coming. When they never arrive, I asked the employer again If he had called them. Very oddly looked at me and he replied "no I know that man he comes here every day. He's a customer." I replied to him that it was a woman not a man, and the employer changed what he said. He then stated that it was that the black women who was his customer. I don't know if the 40 was a special, but they did a great job, and it was quick. The waiting area of the car wash is beautiful. They have a kid place, and an area to sit with multiple circuits so you can work. I was able to work while getting my car cleaned in a nice area. They also have waters and a nice coffee machine. I managed to hike over to O'Reilly's auto parts store nearby and they drove me over with the new battery. The staff member then proceeded to change out the battery for her. He did not have to as it was not part of his job. But we are so grateful for the assistance. DO NOT USE SOAPY JEFF's if you actually care about and need your vehicle. I've been a repeat customer of Soapy Jeff's thanks to my mom. She gifted me a gift card a few years ago and that kindness coupled with excellent service kept me coming back. After way too long, I finally made it back to the Plano location, and happily dropped off my new to me car for the Bumper to Bumper service. I was embarrassed by a year's worth of dirt and grime and wanted to start fresh with a good wash and internal detail work. There was an unexpected power outage shortly before I arrived. I patiently waited as they worked to get back up and running, an early sign that I should have walked away right then. Everything was eventually fixed and $300 later I'm rolling through the wash, happily watching all the ick disappear. Knowing the detail work takes more time, I asked a gentleman in the office if I could run some errands and come back later. Once confirmed, I was on my way. A few hours later I would return to the most expensive detail job I ever, and sadly the reason I will not be returning. Not only did they crack my internal console cover, there is now a gaping hole where something was forced through the hard plastic. After filing a report, I proceeded to drive away and my Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) light would not go off. I turned around and went back. I took more photos and updated the report. I dropped my car off without any issues and inherited a financial nightmare. I got home and had to go back over the rear license plate, rear window, radio and windshield. This morning there are water stains in my front passenger seat, the SRS light went off (a sign of too much liquid/water apparently) and that hole in my console? The part alone is almost $1,000 to replace, not including labor as I'm unsure I can replace it myself. This happened 24 hours ago and I've heard nothing from them. I cannot in good conscience refer anyone to Soapy Jeff's after this. If you're like me and need your car for work and school, I would not trust this place, and I don't say that lightly.
