He was able in the most delicate, sincere and generous way to solve my problem. I don't have enough words to thank him. My gratitude doesn't compare to his actions. P.S I tried to call the restaurant several times that night, to speak to Abe, but I always got a recording.

The restaurant is located inside a market, which at first felt a little unexpected for the kind of meal we were about to have--but it actually worked really well and added to the overall charm of the place. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. Every person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. Our order was simple: a Caesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. The Caesar salad was much larger than I expected and easily shareable. It was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The pizza arrived quickly, and the wood-fired style really delivered--the crust had the perfect amount of crisp and the flavors were excellent from the first bite to the last. Between the great food, the friendly service, and the lively atmosphere both inside and outside the market, this is definitely a place I'd return to the next time I'm in San Antonio.

You will love the Supreme Pizza and they have varied many others like Texas Pothole Pizza and Honey Bear Pizza and salads, the website shows so much more of the variety. They have a classic machine that is a dough maker that shurns the dough in house, everything is fresh and so tasty, so far this is my favorite pizza. I am so grateful to a place like San Antonio that truly has everything. Take your friends! Take your Family! Take your Beloved! You will be pleasantly surprised! :) P.S. I do miss the uncured pepperoni pizza , which no longer is available. The pizza quantity is fairly good, I've tried several styles . I do wish however, the Hawaiian Pizza wasn't made with canned pineapple. Mattenga's does a great job with marketing and frequently offers deals by text messages. Plus there's also a rewards program when you sign up! On my most recent visit. I tried the lunch buffet for the first time. It's a great deal for about $10 or $12 with drink. Buffet includes various styles of pizza , salad bar and drink station. The drink station includes fresh brewed tea and the wonderful Main Root all natural soda fountain station. I normally do not drink sodas, but I will definitely overindulge with Main Root! Thank you Mattenga's for so many good take out orders and now, a newly discovered lunch buffet. I will definitely be back soon!

We were greeted warmly by the hosts and they looked happy to be there - this is a good sign for how staff is treated. We chose to sit inside, so the hostess walked us to the indoor dining area, I immediately loved the vibe and how many different areas there were to sit, also great accommodations for each area. Anyways, we ordered our food. I didn't mind the wait, because everything was FRESH!! The drinks were nice and strong & they had a great happy hour menu. Listing everything we had & rating Spinach artichoke dip - 10/10, delicious Calamari -10/10, cooked to perfection. Burger - 8/10, great size, good flavor but not a standout Pizza - (kids and adult) 10/10 Delicious. I've never seen my 4 year old eat a whole entree at a restaurant without me encouraging him to Texas Lasagna- while it was good, the taste of barbecue sauce surprised me & I was bummed. I forgot our waiters name, but he immediately grabbed the manager, Jonathan, who validated what I was tasting and offered to remake it the way I would like. I agreed. We ended up getting it to go, but that Lasagna is SOOOO good. 10/10 for food quality, price, service, ambience, and most importantly compassion! He let us keep the other lasagna for someone else in the family to eat and we didn't get charged for it. We'll be back for the Monster Jam, and fully plan to stop by Guillermo's - even if it's just for a drink, will probably be our go to spot in San Antonio. Thanks to Jonathan and the staff! Edit to add- our waiters name was Josh- he was amazing and patient. Thank you Josh & Jonathan!

Our team of about 30 had a dinner at Guillermo's in downtown San Antonio and it was a real bummer…read more We ended up in a long, narrow room with tables lined end-to-end. It was noisy, cramped, and just not comfortable. From start to finish, the experience was messy. Water was delivered haphazardly and there was never enough. The water station had nothing at all--just a small, empty pitcher. There were not enough plates, so I guess we were expected to reuse the dinner plates on the table. The food felt very institutional. Tortilla chips with warm salsa were strange, the queso was okay, and dinner was a salad (fine) plus a buffet of ravioli and bowtie Alfredo. Pizza eventually appeared but disappeared quickly, and a few more pizzas showed up later. Some wings arrived even later and did not look appetizing. Most of the pastas and pizza lacked any real character or flavor. Drinks were poorly handled. Beer was fine but who delivers pints and then lets them sit on a service table for 20 minutes? I'm sure several went undrunk. Most of us left quickly after staying for the obligatory hour or so. Service mostly consisted of delivering food and drinks. There was very little attentiveness beyond that. The space, the food, and the service all left a lot to be desired. On top of that, there was basically nothing for the vegan in our group aside from some tortilla chips and warm salsa. That was a big miss. Not the worst place I've been, but overall it was disappointing. 2 stars.

Pros: - Attractive space - Waiter was fine, he was friendly enough. - They had a few gluten free items, which was a main reason we went, but they do NOT have a dedicated menu, you have to ask. - The burrata cheese and veggie board was great. Definitely the best part of the meal, although the gluten free toast was extra brown and crispy. The veggies had great flavor, though. Cons: - Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food. - Gluten free pasta was quite overcooked. It was mostly mush by the time I got it. I love that they HAVE gluten free options, but come on, it would help if you cooked them properly. It was barely edible. - Sauce was bland and too sweet. - There was no attempt or offering to make the experience more accessible for my disabled son. No plastic cups, etc. Would be nice if they had more inclusivity. All in all, almost $200 for lunch for a family of four. Definitely not worth the money.

Let's talk boards: each one is a curated experience, not just a pile of meats and cheese. From their manchego offering to the locally sourced Indigo ridge from River Whey Creamery, every bite feels intentional and indulgent. Whether you're treating yourself or impressing guests, CheeseMe makes you look like a hero. But here's the kicker--it shares space with a fantastic coffee shop, so you can sip your cold brew while diving into a weekly specialty sandwich, pasta salad, or rotating board that's always on point. The flavor combinations change weekly, and somehow, they always slap. I still dream about the Caprese sandwich and the Mexican elote pasta salad. The vibe is chill, stylish, and welcoming. You can tell this place was created with love and a strong sense of community. Latina-owned, woman-powered, and full of flavor? Yes, please. Do yourself a favor: come hungry, leave happy, and bring a friend so you can try twice as much and as the their slogan suggests, come for the , stay for the cheeseme!

Thanks to a Yelp event I was able to discover this hidden gem. I've been here TWICE since then to try a few different types and ALLLLLL of them have been BEYOND. We have tried the Beni, Jefa, traditional, hot Cheetos and my personal favorite the Ruffles. CREAMY, HOT CORN w/ savory ingredients. At this rate, you'd never get bored. They've been here 5 years and will definitely be on my weekly radar! Though a small cup could absolutely fill you up (priced around 5-5.50), I do recommend medium and large if 2+ are snacking. The cajeta's are pretty standard and so is the ice cream, but a good add on if you find the corn is too spicy. They do have certain cold treats that I'm hoping to try during my next few visits. The interior is CLEAN, pretty spacious for small parties and they have affordable catering options too! You can't go wrong having an elote party! (Just invite me too!) I've seen the owner in there every time I've been and he's SUPER kind and offers helpful recommendations based on what you want out of your treat. Don't sleep on this place, you are TRULY missing out.
