They should have politely declined to serve us as there are fish frys everywhere... why make yourself miserable and a table Of 20 people with later plans take 2.5 hours for a fish fry? Just why? Service took over an hour. Requests weren't honored and when I said my food was cold she ignored. So much mayo... yuck. Asked to not get any... nope mayo all over... took over 90 minutes for us to get food..... we are now over two hours and waiting for bills.... If you walk in and it's busy.. walk out. Not worth any it.. we accidentally went to the wrong one first (wish we had stayed there) down by the lake. It was busy and lots of service. 1 waitress for all 15 tables and she was cooking part of the time.. ridiculous!!!! We were made up of 4 tables... Not service friendly at all...not again.

I called ............Tuesdays and Thursdays 55 cent wings. Can't go wrong. By far the best wings I have had in my life!!!!!!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. I ordered 12 wings and got 14. My husband ordered 12 and got 15! Now don't go running in there expecting to get more than you ordered just because I said so. I don't know if this is the norm or what. Cooked and sauced to perfection! Fries were huge and great! So 2 orders of 12 wings (plus 5) large fry and one diet coke came to $19.55. Wow! We have a huge container left for lunch tomorrow. This is my new place for wings! (and always for fish)

We used to live in the area and went to the VFW every Friday for a fish fry. It was always packed,…read moreand everything on the plate was delicious. In addition to the haddock- which was huge, the meal came with a mound of fries and a scoop of coleslaw, potato salad and macaroni salad. Everything was made to perfection. We were back in the area this past week and looked forward to another fish fry. We were surprised to find the place almost empty, except for the bar. The server (also the bartender) was very friendly and said they were only open 3 days a week now. He explained that they now get fresh fish every Wednesday and was very proud of the quality. We placed our orders and looked forward to having another delicious fish fry. When the plates arrived, the fish itself did not disappoint and was flakey and fresh. It alone was worth the trip. However, the salads were very different, as were the fries which became cold and soggy very quickly. I'd like to see them go back to the old recipes for the coleslaw, potato salad, and macaroni salad. I am attaching photos of what we used to get and what is being served now. The photo showing the defined scoops of salads and slaw is what used to be served. If they go back to that, I'm sure they'll be packing them in again

This location is no different really - though they may have a better variety to select from - for a VFW! However, as good as this place is - considering we arrived early, they were a bit slower then normal on delivery of the food and other people who arrived after us were being served first - not sure what the deal was for that, but it didn't make me too happy. Could they have called ahead - yes, in fact this place now delivers to the local area as well. Whatever the case may be, the speed of service was slow and I was hungry. Reason number 1 for 4 instead of 5 stars. Second reason was everything on the seafood was deep fried - most of it was good, but I would have liked the scallops differently and didn't eat them all as they still had a "not so good" taste and as we all know - I eat almost anything, which is why I've suffered afterwards! Overall - it's not bad and we'd certainly continue to return. Just wish they had better natural lighting!
